Capcom's showcase happened yesterday and it was... kinda meh. A couple of new announcements, but it was mostly updates on existing titles. Let's take a look.


Capcom 40th Anniversary

  • This year marks the 40 years of life for Capcom.
  • To celebrate, they've created Capcom Town:
    • A site filled with various activities regarding games from the company's history.
    • There's a museum with information about Capcom's various series.
    • This includes manuals and design docs.
    • You can even play some of their NES and SNES games.
  • There's also a Capcom sale taking place on all the major platforms.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

  • Revealed during the Xbox Showcase.
  • Blend of strategy and action.
  • Coming to Xbox Series consoles, PS5 and Steam.

Megaman X Dive offline

  • Mobile game also coming to Steam.
  • Control over 100 characters and play over 900 stages.
  • Customize your character to your liking.
  • 3D graphics with 2D gameplay.
  • Coming later this year.

Pragmata

  • Action game where you control guy in armor with psychic/robot girl on his back.
  • Announced more than 3 years ago, now delayed indefinitely (at least past 2024).

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

  • Remake of a 3DS game.
  • You play as a ghost trying to solve their own murder.
  • Visual novel + puzzle game where you posses objects in the environment and move them around.
  • Releases on June 30th, demo out now.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy

  • Collection containing Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, as well as the Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice titles from the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series
  • Will release in 2024 on PC, Switch, Xbox One and PS4.

Exoprimal

  • Fight mutated dinosaurs while wearing a mech suit.
  • Story contains parallel worlds, an evil AI, and time travel.
  • Game will be a live service that also comes with a battle pass.
  • Launches on July 14th.

Dragon's Dogma 2

  • Sequel to the 2012 Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.
  • Single player open world game with AI companions named Pawns.
    • You'll have a customizable main Pawn and can borrow up to 2 Pawns from other players.
  • 4 times as large as the original game.
  • Will feature various classes called vocations.
  • You can approach combat in a variety of ways.
  • No release window for the game.
