After the announcement last month, Roblox has finally made it to PlayStation. The update makes the Nintendo Switch the only console that doesn't have access to the platform and vast number of user-created content.

With a positive of making Roblox more accessible to players comes a couple of downsides. The first of which is the game is only built for PlayStation 4, which means if you have a PlayStation 5 you won't be able to take advantage of any of the PS5's exclusive features that would increase the graphical qualities of the game - not that Roblox is particularly well known for "good graphics" across the board. The second problem is that you may not be able to find all your favourite games to play.

User created content in Roblox is one of the primary drivers of the popularity of the game. If you want to play Call of Duty, there's a game mode you can play that resembles it or Zombies. If you want to run a supermarket or a roller coaster park, there are games for that too. Developers of each game in Roblox must make their content available on different platforms, so if by chance your favourite game hasn't been updated to work with consoles, you won't find it when you login on PlayStation.

Roblox Stonks Go Up

Roblox saw a stock increase after the update went live to bring it to PlayStation with a +0.70 bump (+2.32%). This continues an upward trend we've been seeing for the stock from late last month.

How to Install Roblox on PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5

  1. Go to the PlayStation Store on your PlayStation console or online here
  2. Browse or use the search icon to find Roblox
  3. To download Roblox, select the Roblox icon> Add to Cart and follow the on-screen instructions
  4. Start Roblox on your PlayStation by selecting Game Library from your “Games” home
  5. Sign in to your existing Roblox account using the Quick Login option on your computer or phone.
