Escape From Tarkov's Kolotun event is in full swing and whether you're looking to start your hideout's Christmas Tree or save up some ornaments for crafting, you're going to need to find a ton of them. Let's look at all the locations to find Ornaments whether they are Red, Silver, or Violet.
Ornament Uses
Ornaments have many uses in the Kolotun event, the first use being the creation of your very own Christmas Tree in your hideout. Requiring 1 of each color Ornament (Red, Silver, and Violet), the Christmas Tree is where the event-exclusive crafts live and all the crafts require Ornaments.
The tree only has a single level, so you only need to find one of each colored ornament in raid to get things started. It should be noted, however, that you cannot buy ornaments on the Flea Market, so you're going to have to be the one to always replenish your stash of them.
You can use all the other ornaments you find to craft guns, injectors, a LEDX, backpacks and more. There is also a special craft for "Tangerine" which requires one of each colored ornament which itself is used in some of the higher-end event crafts, such as the LEDX which requires a whopping 3 Tangerines.
Speaking of, Tangerines can be found anywhere you can find higher value loot, such as in Relax Room on Streets of Tarkov.
On Christmas Trees
Your first point of contact for Ornaments is to look on the Christmas Trees that have made an appearance during the Kolotun event. It's not always going be be a guarantee since other players are looking for ornaments as well, but there are always some hanging on the branches.
On Enemies
Your enemies are clearly in the Christmas gifting spirit, because they are bringing loot right to you! Scavs spawn with event-related loot which gives you a plethora of potential options to find, but Ornaments are one of the key finds on our below room temperature IQ friends.
Inside Sports Bags
Don't sleep on sports bags, even outside of event times. They are a great source of loot in the game and Ornaments are a big part of that now.
