First Time Legend

So, this is absolutely nothing, but I just hit legend for the first time (playing about 7 years, never particularly seriously until the last few months) and have been almost entirely F2P the entire time (I bought the most recent tavern pass and Kharazan back in the day.)

So, I ground my way from D5 to L16480 using a slightly aggro secret Paladin. I feel kinda scummy about it, but Paladin and Mage are my mains, and this seemed like the right meta to make the push.

Anyhow, that's all. I'm just happy for the win (and slightly buzzed on a couple of celebratory IPAs)

  • Grats! It´s a great feeling, isn´t it? It doesn´t matter which deck you use to get there, the last games are really nerve-racking. People who hit it every month don´t see it as an accomplishment anymore, but for us, mere people, it´s a huge goal to achieve :) GG WP!

    I can still remember the ecstatic sense of joy I experienced all the way back in January 2018 when I first reached Legend myself (with machinegun Priest). It was as if time suddenly stopped for a whole minute long. There was no one around me with whom I could share the awesome feeling though, but it was absolutely amazing nonetheless.

    Over the years, I reached Legend another 19 times (and counting). Each time it felt super cool to me when I beat the gatekeeper end boss, but that feeling will most likely never again eclipse the very first virgin Legend experience 🤣

    Anyways, enjoy the well deserved accomplishment. As a Legend player yourself starting today, you can wield the Legend cardback from now on.

  • GZ man, i got legend for the first time this month too. 
    I love paladins since W3 when i was a little kid and saw Arthas for the first time, its not our fault that our fav class is busted rn.

    What legendary did u get?

    • Thanks! I wound up getting Guff Runetotem which is pretty useless for me. Still, I'll probably hold on to it because it's the one I got for hitting Legend.

      I've stuck with Pally mostly because I love playing them in D&D, so it always felt like a good extension.

      And congrats on hitting Legend to you too! What did you get?
