So normally I just use Fake GPS to 'attend' a fireside to open my packs early (for the same problem that would happen in the title. However, for some reason selecting a public Fireside event seems to be disabled on the website so I had to try to create my own unlisted event again, which to no surprise still results in the 404 error from previous years.
What gives?

Is it because I don't have an established tavern? Still can't create events.
I have no personal experience of creating the events so I don't know what's going on, but you definitely don't have to have an established tavern to do it. Flux did a guide on how to create a private Fireside Gathering so if you haven't checked it out yet, you could try to look for some clues on what's the issue from there.
