HSReplay showing stale data?

I went on to HSReplay this morning to check up on the latest Demon Hunter lists. They have the win rate of the most played version of Tempo Demon Hunter at 57.4% in the list view, but that same deck list in the drilldown's "Overview" section shows a 63.8% rate, and specifically a 62.9% win rate against Warlocks. Given the fact that Warlock has access to Sacrificial Pact and is at the top of the HSReplay rankings, I don't really see how that could be true.

I'm not sure if this is just an odd fluke with how their drilldown views handle trend data/what they include in their win rate averaging, but it's very confusing.

  • I've definitely noticed issues like this. Like I just clicked through to "Highlander Hunter" from the meta page, and then on "Best Performing Deck", and it shows a deck with Zilliax in it still.

    I think it's always taken them a few days after an expansion or a nerf to sort out the new meta decks. One time, they basically blocked all the stats and said "coming soon" (possibly after Rise of Shadows came out). The way they've done it this time, there's definitely some inconsistent data, but at least you can access it.

    If you skip the "Overview" sections and go straight to searching for decks, there's a "Last 3 days" view which might help. They'll also probably sort everything out in a few more days anyway.

  • that's always been the case. I don't know what kind of data collecting algorithm they use but it's complete garbage at the start of any expansion.

    Often times the "highest winrate" decks displayed still show cards from previous years or clearly pre-nerf lists.

     

    There's also that one time where they Highest Winrate list of a particular deck had a lower winrate than its overall winrate, which...how does that even happen?

     

    Just in general I don't really trust Hsreplay's stats, at least not the free version. Their tier lists almost never accurately reflect reality. VSsyndicate is a lot better (even if they occasionally come with a lot of biased takes)
