Game will not run on mobile Android since 14.6 update

I am trying to figure out if my phone is the problem, or if there are many users having problems loading the game since the update. I have a LG Stylo phone running Android 6. I know it is not a fancy schmancy galaxy or iphone, but it does what I need it too, has great battery life, and before the update ran Hearthstone just fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game many times. Installed on both phone memory storage and the sd card. Even tried the Amazon app version of Hearthstone. The game downloads the updates. Says it is all up to date, and then when the tavern doors come up it freezes never to do anything else.

I would appreciate any info on what phones are having problems and what are working great since the update. Thanks

  • I've been hearing some people having issues, so there's definately something going on.  I could get in touch with Blizzard officially as well as check out reddit.

    As for myself, LG Aristo 2 Android 8.1  Havn't had any issues at any point and I only play on my phone.

  • I've had all manner of problems running it on my Kindle.  Multiple re-installs and it's still flaky.  Very annoying.

  • I am using a ZTE Axon 7 with Android 7.1.1 and Hearthstone works (rather) fine with this. "Rather" because I sometimes get the message, that Hearthstone is loading a (little) update, but I think, it does not really load any data and this is only a message bug.

    In another forum it was theorized that these installation problems can occur if the Android version is too old.

      Axon 7 here on Android 8. It is working but not very crisp

  • I'm using a OnePlus 3 (android 9.0.4 ) myself and have never had any issues with the game not running, really.

  • I'm using a Galaxy Note 9, with Android 9 - not been having any issues whatsoever.

    I am getting the thing where it tries to download some small patch sometimes, so it is probably not due to old Android versions...

  • Thanks everyone. Looks like my old version of Android is probably the culprit.

  • Moto G5S, Android 8.1.0 and it works. It is not the best phone for this game, it is not 100% smooth, but i can live with that.

    But yea,t recently fucked up android reconnecting big time. Before it took some time to drop and it kept trying reconnecting, and it reconnected fast. Now it just dies imediatelly and when it drops,sometime i loose like 2 or 3 turns before i get back. No point reconnecting with this behavior.
