Tombs of Terror: DON'T ATTEMPT CHAPTER 2 (Update: fixed)

now some of you might have already discovered this, but for those of you who haven't

DO NOT CONCCEDE ON THE FINAL BOSSES. THEY WILL NOT RETAIN THEIR HEALTH IF YOU DO

I had to learn this the hard way when i brought one to 1 HP on Heroic, planning to finish him off later with Finley...but when i conceded he just went back to 192.

if you want to soften up a boss to finish him with a different hero....well you better kill yourself

EDIT: nvm, it's actually just f**ing bugged. It doesn't matter whether you concede or get killed (or you the Hearthstone). my boss is just stuck at 192 HP permanently now for no reason. Small indie company indeed

EDIT 2: checked the forums, it's only affecting the second plague lord and it's apparently fucked on a deeper level as it will not only forget damage taken but also sometimes create random HP numbers. Only way to beat it currently seems to be oneshotting it. Hopefully they'll hotfix it.

EDIT 3: As of today the issue was fixed with a patch. Everything should work fine now.

      I have not had this problem. I've beaten it on the 2nd try, and it's health was at the right number. And I've one shotted it.

  • Thanks for this! I have not done this, but it occurred to me that I might use this strategy in order to grab the win with a different hero or package.

      just figured out it's a bug because he just doesn't remember at all now. I only wasted 1 hour on this only to find out that Blizzard is still unable to perform basic bugtesting

  • I completed it on Normal fine (saved remaining health both times I lost), don't think it's a universal issue.

  • It held the numbers for me no problem. Took me 3 runs, but I got it and it retained the persistent health pool each time. 

  • I've only reached the final boss once, got him down under 200HP. It appears his health has held there, but I can't get another deck back to him to finish him off. I keep getting completely fucked by some bosses that are hard counters to my decks. 

  • I've one-shotted the first boss 3 times, and the second one once. I also had to fight the second boss a second time, and his health pool was saved as it's supposed to be. Looks like this problem is only affecting some players. Maybe a mobile issues? My sympathies to those getting screwed. The bosses are hard enough as is.

      I'm on mobile and didn't have the problem (yet)

  • @YourPrivateNightmare Same thing happened to me just now, got him down to 70-ish health, but the Health reset to 300. Lord of Madness at his peak.

  • Experiencing the same problem, mobile, i have up on the third try. But I think it is intended... Because he wants to drive us.. TO MADNESSSS!!!

  • Finished Both normal and Heroic 1 & 2 

    Second Heroic one was, 

    1. Anomaly start with 10 cards

    2. and then got enemy minions cost 1 more 

    3. And any time I played Odd card - reduce the cost of all other cards by 1 !!! OP

    4. Another card to copy one of my minions and add  2 to your  hand thay cost 0

    5. Spell - Deathrattle when your minions die summon a random Legendary minion.

    Was way too EZ  and  OP like I never played before  - Just crazy fun ...

    Normal and Heroic so far was a breeze first try

  • Op has always some weird shit going. Bad luck.

  • Might be a issue with Heroic mode only, I have the same thing happening with me.

     

  • I personaly did not had this problem but it happend to a friend of mine! (on Heroic)

    But as the OP stated in the Update , it should be fixed now and work as intended !

  • Had a similar problem on normal, just not as bad. Doing a playthrough with Reno and got him down to about 170 HP before he dropped C'Thun and wiped me out. When I got back again, he was at around 230 health. Got smart and chose the Hearthstone treasure and faced him a second time, knocking him down to 7 HP before after he dropped his C'Thun and left me near death. Used my Hearthstone to go back to the inn, and he was back up to 17 HP when I got to him the third time. Still a pretty easy win, but could have saved the third attempt without all the health bouncing back up.
