Portal Shaman

Portal Shaman is a concept based on the interaction between Spirit of the Frog and the two portal demons: Portal Keeper and Portal Overfiend.
Spirit of the Frog plays out like a cheaper, stealthed Gadgetzan Auctioneer, which sounds amazing, but is limited by only drawing spells that cost one more. The trick with this deck: Portals count as a 2-mana spell that draw an additional card, meaning with portals in the deck, Spirit of the Frog + a 1-mana spell will likely tutor out a portal, summoning a 2/2 with Rush and drawing another card which can now be anything from your deck, not just the next-costed spell.
The rest of the deck plays out in a token fashion, mostly trying to stick a wide board for Bloodlust, or hitting The Storm Bringer on a wide board. Portals also work well with the Storm Bringer because they can sometimes pop onto your board for free at the start of your turn, meaning your opponent cannot stop you from turning them into legendaries.
I have not had time to play/refine the deck too much so there is definitely room to improve. For example: Shudderwock refills portals but otherwise is not doing much. A second Bloodlust might be a consideration. The Hexes and Earth Shocks have felt great with the Mech's going around and Thunderhead is honestly an overpowered card that did not need a buff. To be even greedier, you could consider running Chef Nomi since the frog spirits will get you through the deck nice and quick.

Love the idea behind this!
Not too great against aggro matchups though. You're pretty-well stuck waiting to draw the Portal minions, and your only defense are the cards you need to draw them!
Also, feel like this could benefit from an Elekk :D
Maybe you could implement Zentimo + Earthen Might? It gives you an additional 2-mana spell for Spirit of the Frog and having the ability to give +2/+2 on three minions looks strong in this deck.
Not a bad idea; I was trying to limit 2 mana spells to give a higher chance of hitting portals but you could be right.
I made a control type portal shaman and i realy like it. It´s good but prepare for long matches.
I used elysiana but try nomi now to finish games not play 30 minutes .... Maybe i put in violet teacher or mountseller.

Hmm interesting take on the deck--I will give it a try.
I really like this deck but I just can't seem to get anywhere in standard with it. I read the guide (which is great btw) but I can't make it work. I haven't really had any luck with these spirit cards actually.
Oh I see what the problem is.... Your a Mets fan 😏 just kidding🤣
The Mets fan part is why I brew fun decks instead of playing the meta, I'm used to failure haha.
I guess this is how Gul'dan started his career in Draenor? :P
I like the look of this, and I think I might already have all the cards. I'd like to give it a shot, but I'm not sure how this deck code stuff works. Anyone care to give me a crash course or point me in the right direction?
Click on the "Copy Hearthstone Code" on either PC or Mobile. That will copy the code to the clipboard.
Load up the game and go to your collection and select New Deck. You should be prompted to make a deck using the code that's in the clipboard.
If it doesn't work for whatever reason just switch windows (alt tab) and try again.
