Hello there!

Ready for a show?

Depending on whether this takes off or not, I'll explain more about this deck. Long story short, I decided to make my own little archetype. It has taken me to Plat 5, which is the highest rank I ever reached ever since Hearthstone ditched the old ranking system.

Today, somebody asked for the deck list. I remembered this place, and I decided to share this with the world. A few key pointers:

  • Never keep Ice Block or Rewind in your starting hand.
  • Keep an Ironbeak Owl in your hand when facing Rogues and Paladins.
  • Keep an Explosive Sheep when facing Rogues, Paladins, Warlocks and maybe Death Knights.
  • Mad Scientist, Trench Surveyor, and Lightshow are always good to keep.
  • Stargazing is usually nice to keep, but only if the rest of your starting hand looks decent at holding off aggressive decks.
  • If you have 5 mana, you can safely play Stargazing - whether you draw Rewind or Lightshow, you will be able to play it there and then.
  • If you have 4 mana and the coin, you can safely play Stargazing, then either coin out Lightshow or cast Rewind to get two more Stargazings. The coin should be played after you draw, naturally.
  • Dryscale Deputy and Frostweave Dungeoneer are meh. Usually, I don't keep them in my starting hand too urgently. Do keep the Deputy around if you also have Stargazing, though. Ideally, you play the Deputy one turn before Stargazing, but dropping him on turn 2 is also appropriate: there are no bad spells to duplicate.
  • Sometimes, Rewinding an Ice Block is nice too, as that means Grand Magister Rommath will also give you an extra turn after blasting your enemy with your Lightshows.
  • Apply your own discretion with Audio Splitter. It's a card that relies heavily on what you have in your hand.

Cards I'm keen on testing out:

  • Gaslight Gatekeeper
  • Dirty Rat
  • Prince Renathal - if I ever feel like making this more control focused, though it seems a little hard to make 40 cards work when this deck is built to draw the first Lightshow as soon as possible
