[Custom Expansion] Battle of Time Valley (Mini-Set Added)

Battle of Time Valley

Battle of Time Valley is a custom Hearthstone expansion dealing with Time Travel and the Bronze and Infinite Dragonflight's. The main set is finished, and i am currently working on a mini-set.

Chromie

Chromie can be received for free by logging into Hearthstone before the expansion launches.

Start of Game effects

The main mechanic of this expansion are start of game effects. These effects either require a Deckbuilding restriction or have a unique downside in exchange for powerful effects.

Toki

Toki returns, acting as powerful Mage hero.

Dragons

And of course since we're dealing with the Dragonflights Dragons most definitely will be receiving new powerful cards and synergies

  • I really like this custom set so far! The only critique that comes to mind is that Druid really doesn't feel like it fits into the set. The treant and nature support cards could probably fit into another set better, such as the Witchwood.

    The first change I'd make would be turning Owl Omen into an Arcane spell. The art and effect reminds me more of cosmic magic than it does plant & animal magic. My second suggestion goes into this a bit further.

    I would probably also give Druid dragon and arcane spell themes, in place of the current nature and token themes, inspired by Ironbark Drake and Owl Omen. Druids could act as preservers of the timeline, preserving the natural order of things, using arcane spells to do that.

  • Thanks for the feedback. I've decided to change a few cards because of it. As well as that there now a couple of new cards.

    • I'm glad you took my feedback! I'm a fan of the spell chaining and spell damage directions you went with Arcane Druid.

       

      I think Garona Halforcen is an interesting idea, but I don't know if any deck besides Un'Goro quest rogue wants it. Will there be any support for her in the set?

  • I like this set so far, the flavor and mechanics mesh very well and are quite interesting overall.

    As a piece of feedback, I think the names you pick could be a bit less simple. For instance, the card Shadowy Heal, which got you a very well deserved first place, is super interesting mechanically, but the name doesn't sound very good. Something like Shadow Word: Heal or Void Mend.

    This is probably very minor, but I think it could help to make your cards more believable.

    As for the names I somewhat agree, but yeah am not sure what should I do because am not good with naming things in general and if I was it's probably to late to change them all now.

     

  • I finally finished set even though it took quite a while. I won't be posting all the cards I added with last update to this comment, but fell free to look through them in the main thread. Right I will be working on the mini-set which I already started designing for although I am unsure as to how long it will take. If I do any other updates they will probably be grammar updates only. So yeah that's about it. As always feel free to leave any feedback you want.

    A Hearthstone Mini-Set

    Caverns of Time is a custom Mini-Set for my expansion Battle of Time Valley it is meant to push forward a few of themes of main set as well as introduce some new themes, some of these cards are most definitely a bit pushed, so let's if you have any feedback be sure to leave it, but first a

    Balance Change

    Senegos is way to powerful when combined with Celestial Alignment allowing for you to reduce the cost of your entire hand to (0). This change prevents that while Senegos still remains a powerful game-ending effect. Now without further ado let's get unto the Mini-Set.
