I don't like the pure version. Cards like Wild Pyromancer seem too important. I also didn't have much success with the Exotic Mountseller variant though (mainly playing Highlander Paladin). I did theorycraft another version though, using Replicat-o-tron and Pharaoh's Blessing.
Pure list have the better midgame. Lightforged Zealot can sometimes buy you enough tempo to somehow reach your libram cards.
Paladin currently lacks card draw and a poor start. In my opinion, if you're gonna play paladin, its better to just bow down to card draw RNG than trying to plaster it up with inefficient card draw.
Yes, most Paladin I face online are Aggro'ish Pure versions, excluding non-Librams like Murloc Paladin.
So you took Thjis version, and removed zephyr and nat pagle? (nat pagle was probably a meme..)
I am not sure Thjis version is that great I am sure nat pagle is not that good, and zephyrs.. too incosistent with so many duplicates in a none warlock deck.. but he is right the deck runs out of cards in hand quite fast.
and the priest matchup is atrociously bad..
Don't have the murloc or liadrin sadly :(
I would probably run tirion because of that priest matchup.
Here's the pure version:
How do you hide things btw?
There is a button up above that says "spoiler". Press it and put whatever you want to hide inside. It will look like this: [spoiler.]Content[/spoiler.]
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Question for you Libram Paladin enthusiasts - what matchups give you the most trouble? I'm really struggling to counter them, even with control decks.
worst community ever
Libram Paladin is strong against control decks. It tends to outvalue them. Bomb warrior is decent against them. It tends to do worse against aggro. Also I found Tempo mage with Devolving Misiles to work really well against them. Also keep in mind that Libram Paladin is a typical midrange deck, archetypes that do well against them will typicaly do well against libram pally aswell
Is there any more consensus out there around whether Pure Paladin is better than a non-pure Libram build? Vicious Syndicate keeps saying they have no data on non-Pure builds, so they refuse to/can't/won't compare the two. I have only played Pure, but I am wondering if the Pure "payoff" (three cards) is enough to off set other sacrifices you make.
I made it to legend last month with a pretty standard Pure list, but if non-Pure is better, I want to use that list on ladder.
In the last VS podcast ZachO was talking up funki munki's libroom build as a potential game changer for the libram archetype, but I reckon its probably too early in the post-nerf meta to tell for sure.
May all your legendaries be golden.
Thanks for responding - I must have either missed the most recent podcast, or I missed the comment specifically. I usually listen to the podcast when I am working so I tend to tune a lot of it out.
Edit: dumb, I know!
No worries, happy to help :)
Here's the deck code: AAECAZ8FBoqaA/y4A4TBA5/NA5PQA8PRAwz7AfYHlaYDyrgD/bgD6rkD67kD7LkDysEDlc0Dns0DwNEDAA==
I don't have murgur or barov, so haven't playtested it myself, but it looks pretty sweet

Been using Funki Monki's build for my climb this season.
I swapped out Zephrys the Great for Shotbot. I never had a game where Zeph mattered.
And swapping in and out Lady Liadrin with a second Shotbot. The deck does not run Libram of Wisdoms, so Lady Liadrin seems very clunky.
I can't say for certain's it's place in the meta, but from personal experience, I do better against aggro decks but lost to control/value matchups. The deck sacrifices value for more consistency.
The extra draw feels really good. It always felt that is what Pure/libram paladin missed, draw. It feels like Lady Liadrin is mainly there for the extra Librams of Hope. I can see why you are unconvinced of it's payoff
