Hail, Champions! Empires of the Ascended is now out, and we've gathered some of the most successful decks we've seen from streamers and content creators to share with you. Let's jump right in!
BBG's Azir + Renekton + Nasus Ascended
First up, we've got a mono-Shurima deck built around Buried Sun Disc and the 3 Ascended champions, Azir, Renekton, and Nasus. BBG's is a midrange deck with a fair amount of stall tools like Rock Hopper and Devoted Council, and some control tools like Rampaging Baccai and Siphoning Strike.
xxWhatAmIxx's Taliyah + Aphelios Temple
xxWhatAmIxx retooled the very successful Aphelios + The Veiled Temple deck for Shurima. The dream combo is using Taliyah to duplicate The Veiled Temple so you get +2|+2 on your strongest unit each turn -- preferably Taliyah herself, who is very easy to level and can quickly become so large that she demands a blocker on every attack.
Tempo13x's Garen + Jarvan IV Mono Demacia Elites
This is Tempo13's most recent elite deck which includes 2x The Grand Plaza and 2x King Jarvan III. If you can play King Jarvan III while Jarvan IV is already in play, giving all your units challenger AND scout is usually GG.
Spaiikzs' Elise + Kindred Timeline Ledros
In case you weren't aware: there's a disgusting combo where if Concurrent Timelines is in effect when you play a Commander Ledros, you will sometimes have the opportunity to immediately change it into a The Dreadway. 50% your opponent's Nexus health * 2 = 100% of your opponent's Nexus health. Elise and Kindred provide some control tools to help you reach this deadly OTK combo.
YostWithTheMost's Ashe + LeBlanc Yetis
YostWithTheMost has updated the classic Ashe Noxus Yetis deck, this time with LeBlanc. It's a familiar formula, but LeBlanc's 5|2 stats fit very nicely and if she levels, you can easily cast Mirror Image on either Ashe or Captain Farron to provide some extreme pressure.
Tempo13x's Azir + Hecarim Harrowing
Tempo13 is known for his SI midrange decks, and he doesn't disappoint with this Harrowing deck built around Azir and Sand Soldiers. Both champs are extremely easy to level, and even if they die, casting The Harrowing on an attack round is almost always GG.
Alanzq's Solo Lissandra Shurima
Alanzq, on the other hand, is known for control decks, and he's been busy trying to crack Lissandra. This deck combines her with Shurima mostly for its Predict and Draw tools, stalling out until you can get your Watcher online.
TwinSunz's Draven + Renekton Overwhelm
Shane of TwinSunz podcast fame has made this fun update to Noxus overwhelm, splashing Shurima which allows him access to Renekton and multiple Vulnerable generators. As always: look for an opportunity to cast Decisive Maneuver mid-attack to sneak in a surprise lethal.
TealRed's Lissandra + Trundle SI Control
TealRed has been working on Lissandra too, and he favors an update to the familiar Frejlord + SI control architype. Trundle provides some stall potential, and Spectral Matron gives you an opportunity to cheat out an early Watcher with its Play effect.
xxWhatAmIxx's Elise + Azir Prankster Army
Finally, we have the author's personal favorite deck of the expansion -- although I insist on calling it "Sand Sharks". It plays like the familiar prankster burn decks, but cards like Dunekeeper and Emperor's Dais makes it easy to generate both Sand Soldiers, which in turn generate Shark Chariots. Then you also have drain tools like Doombeast, Neverglade Collector, and the new spell Ruinous Path to keep your own Nexus health up as you aggressively whittle away your opponent's.
That will do it for now! What have you enjoyed playing so far? Share with us below! And don't forget to check back tomorrow as we'll be looking for more decks as players continue to refine their lists.

Where is Taric Elites in here? Like... I ruined many plays the day by attacking 3+ times in the same round and given how easy it is to go with Golden Aegis
By the way? Am I the only one who finds it lame that on day 1 of the expansion already about 60-70% of decks are copy-paste list from the internet? Like why would you ruin the experimentation phase like this? To win some normal game that do not matter for your rank at all?
I dunno, I don't think I've met the same deck twice since the expansion started. How can you be sure people are copy-pasting lists when you only see half their deck? People can have similar ideas to other people - it doesn't mean they copy pasted from the internet.
And incidentally, you'd only know they were copy pasting from the internet if you are spending a lot of time looking at internet lists yourself.
I mean I watched Swim's deck idea video and I take this kind of video as a "not to build" guide since I am not going to be one of them However it is fair to say that players can come indeed come up similar decks themselves
I've been playing something akin to TealRed's deck, Freljord + SI control with Liss, Trundle, and Spectral Maiden. I have more removal, but sometimes I feel bogged down by them lol. Need to tinker more.
Blasting the enemy deck with the Watcher just feels good.
I ve also been also trying to build a Lissandra deck, any tips on how to make it better against aggro?
Like Sample101, I employ Blighted Ravine and Avalanche, although I enjoy the former over the latter. Blighted Ravine has won two games for me: once by destroying an overcommitted board and forcing a surrender, and another by inflicting lethal with its "Everything" damage. I also use Vile Feast and Grasp of the Undying; like I said in the original post, I'm pretty removal-heavy. Quite possibly *too* heavy, but it's semi-workable for now.
Oh and if something like Azir/Hecarim is giving you grief, maybe run Passage Unearned. I did just in case but it's been a dead draw for me so far, so I might remove it.
Thanks for the advice, hilariously that deck that have been giving me the most trouble with Lissandra is a Sivir/Leblanc aggro. The problem with that match up is your opening hand. if you don't draw avalanche in the beginning this deck just crush you, blighted ravine isn't a good option against them since you can only play it at mana four and by then they can play either Sivir or Reckless Trifarian. I think I am going to try either adding either Brittle Steel or Troll Chant.
3x blighted ravine and 3x avalanche is usually enough to stop aggro in its tracks. If you're losing to bigger bodies than that, you might be struggling vs midrange. If aggro is still too much, you can add even more wide removal, or do as I do and add 3x vile feast as well.
Vs midrange, you've got two choices-- make your engine faster, or be better at stalling them. That's part of why the example deck above runs 3x spectral matron and sooo much ramp. Once you hit turn 8, you can simultaneously stall and get your engine going by Matron-matron or matron-Trundle-Ice pillar combos.
As for stalling midrange, that's pretty hard with the new cards. Azir has a lot of health and is cheap, a lot of the overwhelm cards have spellshields, etc.etc. I'm finding vengeance is bad atm, so cut it. Instead, you can do as this deck did and add fading memories (makes your win even faster-- pillar, fading memories, pillar, spectral matron), or you can do what I did and add more bodies (babbling bjerg for better matron-matron, another tavernkeeper, or draklorn inquisitors).
