Once Upon A Time in Azeroth - A Custom Expansion - Reboot (Finished, Mini set Finished)
A long long time ago, in a website far far away called hearthpwn, Demonxz95 and I collabed to create an expansion called Once Upon A Time In Azeroth as a part of the Year Creation Competition. You can check the old version of the expansion on Hearthpwn:
The expansion receive good attention to the point of advancing to the next round. Since then, many things have changed. The power level of the game has increased, the creation of a rotating Core set, two new classes were added and spell schools are added. With that in mind, I have decided to return and reboot this expansion with the intention of updating the expansion for the current power level as well as finishing it as a full expansion with Demon Hunter and Death Knight cards added. Demonxz95 doesn't participate in this project but he gave me his blessing.
Mechanic & Keyword:
- Legacy effects can be fulfilled and activated multiple times per turn.
- Cards with Legacy effect in the other sets will have their wording modified to include these keywords. For example:
Stories cards: Stories are powerful Legendary spells. All of them have powerful Start of Game effects as well as a separate, weaker effect when played. Each class will have a Story that will tied to the theme of their set. They are heavily build-around cards that demand a specific playstyle or cards to be effective. As per tradition of the recent expansions, each players will receive a Story of the class they chose when you first log in:
- Slumber of Azeroth and The Great Flood are two examples of the Story spells this expansion. While the other Stories won't necessary be that Control-oriented, these two are a pretty good example of these spells since they required clever deck building to take advantage of their extremely powerful reward or consistently have time to finish the Story in the first place.

I finally thought up a Pre Release Free Legendary that embodies the flavor and mechanic of the expansion without using the new Keywords.
I'm sorry it took me so long to get to actually writing about this. It is cool to see you back and still making cards, and it's a fun nostalgia trip to see this set finally completed.
I'll leave some really short feedback about everything since there's so much to go through. Maybe at some point, I'll go through and try to be a bit more thorough.
That is all.
Thank you for your response.
Shaman removal usually has transform effects and damage based removal. Taken to the Moon fit into that and is more flavorful.
DH was given some removal with the condition that it was 8 or 9 cost minion like the Rush minions. I think my cards fit that pattern, with the only difference is that now you can cheat them out if you play the package for them.
Blessing of Persepholes is supposed to say this turn but if I give that line it will make the card text has more than 4 lines, so I just leave it to be heavily implied.
I will concede that Power of the Seven maybe too expansive, but the 7 cost is there for the flavor more than anything.
I will probably nerf Trusted Commander to 3 mana.
Scorned Enchantress is meant to play with the Priest Epic card. The Epic card was meant to work with Velen and Malygos when it was designed but since both those cards are not in Core set she is meant to replace that.
Cards that generate Story is meant to get you the Base effect and NOT the Start of Game. Wicked Stepmother doesn't destroy cards in the deck, so she should have a different tech match up. I will probably nerf Zorro to playing 2 Non Legendary cards
Updated: Zorro and Trusted Commander is nerfed. Zorror now require you to play 2 cards to get an extra keyword, while Trusted Commander is now 3 mana.
