Hi Flux and all the crew, I just switch from hrtpwn. Please change the color format of your site, please. White text over a dark backgroud really kill the eyes, I could not be able to visit the site if it stay this way. I already push my eyes over the limit just to create this.
Best of luck in any case.

I think this colour scheme is far, far better than Hearthpwn.
While we've found that people generally prefer a 'darkmode' version of a website, with the opposite problem from you being quite prevalent - that is, people finding black text on white difficult or headache inducing to read - we have definitely talked about implementing other themes for the website.
I can't give you any sort of timeline right now - I don't work on site features myself, and I know there's a lot that still needs to be done - but I can make sure we have a note of it!
Is there any particular colour scheme you think would be better? Having a few options for people would be great, so knowing some that people think would be better for them would be helpful.
Welcome to the site!
If there were other colour schemes avaible, it'd be nice to have one similar to the hearthpwn's (I just got used to it so much :P)

I really prefer this to Hearthpwn's old color scheme. And real coders always use light text over dark background.
One color I'd be interested in would be the Blue or yellow color of the Hearthstone to with the game. I don't know how easy to read it would be nice to tie in with the game.
This format is pretty easy on my eyes but it's always nice to have choices.
Through I really prefer a dark theme as you say probably some people prefer light one. Maybe they can just make the switch Light/Dark mode, like on YouTube?
I am one of those weirdos that prefer the lighter versions of webpages, so I would definitely appreciate a day mode :)
I would like to eventually support two themes on the site, one dark, one light. Possibly even more down the line as some form of "premium" supporter feature.
That isn't going to happen for a while though since it sets us back from work on larger features. I have built the site with it in mind though so when we do get around to it, it won't be too crazy to add in.

Two type would be great, it's always better have choises. Thanks.
i personally love the color, darker the better for my eyes, but an option would be nice
personally, I find this dark version very pleasant on the pc. But on the iPad, a lighter version would be far more comfortable...
And whatever the colors may be, thank you so much for this website =)
“We like the dark," said all the dwarves. "Dark for dark business!"
The above comment assumes a Hearthstone Wild perspective.
Yes, this is so much better than hearthpwn. Please don't change it.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
I think this colour scheme is fine! but some choices would still be nice tough :) :)
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
There's a decent sized group of people who get headaches reading light text on dark. It's a physiological trait that you either have or your don't. Those people would absolutely be driven away by this color scheme so I wouldn't recommend giving this issue a low priority, if I may be so bold
As for other colors ... the HS wiki has a nice "pages in a collection" theme going on if you want to tie in with the game. A "hearthpwn" color theme might help people transition. Personally, I'm overjoyed by the current dark mode and hope you don't simply override it
You didn't ask me but I will say as someone whose eyesight could be a lot better black type on cream or beige is very helpful. However black type on white is worse than white type on black or gray.
A forum skin wouldn't have to be beige to be easy on the eyes. It could be powder blue, or a pale rose pink, etc. I've used options like that in the past on other forums.
It would be really great if some lighter theme would be implemented... This is just too dark for me, I often have quite a lot of light from windows and on first sight I'm almost not even able to recognize the pharagraphs (divs), buttons in menu and others... I just see one big black background with just white text on it. So even if you won't add the light theme, it could help to at least make the dark colors little bit more contrast (I mean the buttons x background of one message x background of whole site and others) or at least you could add some light border to some of these elements, I think it would help people to navigate on the site much more easily
I was not asked as well but want to put a thought here if I might :)
Having an option, I think is a good idea but there is still the question about what the default will be for first time or "surf by" visitors.
I myself prefer dark modes in general (work with them in multiple apps and systems) but some implementations are unpleasant on my eyes. That is also the case with this one here. I am not a designer and do not know why. I have another dark mode app window open that I like at the moment I'm typing this. I notice they use stronger highlighting contrasts and have some subtle gradient in the background. Also the text font is much thinner than it is with the light mode. Maybe it is not just a matter of colours and contrast.
For God's sake, a lighter version!! Hate this dark depressing grey! (besides, it's too similar to Tempostorm)
Bring back HP colors...
I like it how it is.
I have the same Problem as you, i cant really look for too long on the site otherwise i get stripes i my eyes. I hope there will be an option to choose other colours in the near future. :/
This.. I have a problem to read light text on dark background, especially if i want to read the site for a long time. Maybe an option to switch between "dark mode" and "light mode" would be nice.
Leap of Faith...
Ragnaros the Firelord mode and Ragnaros, Lightlord mode.
Just one vote for color choice, this dark is ruin my eyes :/
And thank you for the site!! :)
Like many others, having 2 settings atleast would be a huge improvement. Looking at this dark background is just straining the eyes.Im not saying that hearthpwn background was better, but i could spend way more time on it cause my eyes didn't get as tired ,background feelt like i was reading a book really soothing .
I also think the Resolution of the monitor is playing a HUGE role here if im reading this on my home PC with a 1920x1200 or higher resolution , the light gray sidepanells help and the text is in X lines. But if im reading on laptop on the road /work on a screen 1280x1024 or lower i only see the dark black body with the hundreds of white lines(X times 4) ,its dificult and i need to concentrate so my eye dosn't jump from line to line from word to word .Hence the strain and headache follow
Yes but when writing code you will pay a huge atention to your spacings ,so you know where your clauses begin/end hence the beautify feauture included in programing languages. If i write a 200 character long string in 1 line and give you a smaller monitor then 1280x1024 resolution like a 800x600 to make the spacing randomly distributed i doubt you'd say its eye friendly.
