I'm guessing you're thinking about Hailstorm, which stops firing once all enemies are dead. I'm talking about Snowball, which stacks up damage over time whenever you play a Frost ability. If you can drag out the fight long enough, you could get Snowball to do a huge amount of damage, which would be a single shot that would count damagewell past lethal.
I dont believe bard is like lurk for example where the two recommended regions are actually correct.
I think bard is slow value engine that requires buffing for value. Something like freijord or shurima have a far higher viability then Targon at the moment with the cards we've seen.
Looking at his stats when does bard "get good" at 2/5 that's terrible, at 3/6 still bad, at 4/7 now we're talking about a swing deck buffing engine.
So whether that's through 1 chime and a omen hawk, or the shurima landmark making bard a 4/5 with spellshield.
Eventually the math starts adding up, I don't think he will be top tier, I think he will be a better braum for the deck buffing archetype whatever that happens to look like.
With his universal region lock he can can even go in Ionia, for some of their hand buffing stuff, like the new bounce card.
Either way I like the design of here's a weird champ now make it work in whatever deck you want. Literally, any two regions, any cards, no restrictions at all.
Also, his "kit" isn't region locked either thanks to his wandering caretaker text, you're guaranteed his chime cards if you want them with 0 region restrictions. That's powerful.
I'm at level 80 right now ( no bonus) with 70% achievement hunting down, there are a few that will likely be impossible for me to do due to rarity, but this has been by far the easiest achievement one to grind IMO.
The Voyage meta started out fresh, but now I rarely see innovative decks which is a shame, as a warlock main it was painful early and I don't really enjoy playing with or against curses.
Faelin is a perfect free legendary, really pleased with that decision by blizz. I also really enjoy dredge and sunken, overall a decent and flavorful expansion.
I love love LOVE the Backgammon-style doubling cube and the way it makes bluffing/predicting such a vital part of your ladder climb.
Things I worry about:
3-minute games with the same 12-card deck could get old fast.
Unless the meta is so degenerate that you can recognize someone’s full deck based on the opening cards, I don’t think I’ll have time to determine the other player’s strategy and predict their plays.
My suggestion would be that ladder requires you to alternate through 3 or 4 decks, each with no overlapping cards. That would keep the short games more varied, and ensure that you can’t just rely on the same OP cards every game.
That is similar to the way you build 4 “war decks” in Clash Royale. That creates interesting choices and varied match-ups, but the complaint there is that most players can’t afford to build 4 decks’ worth of cards to a competitive level. If Marvel Snap is truly F2P, that won’t be a concern here, so it would be a great format!
Hello LJstc, to sync your collection with OutofCards, you can either do it manually, or via plugin for Hearthstone Deck Tracker. Then "your cost" will be calculated from the missing cards in your collection telling you how much would a deck cos you based on what you already have.
Yes, it doesn’t seem like enough. I’m expecting more Chime cards to be added. Since I understand these to be all over Runeterra in the lore - and because I hope they will do more with Boons - I think it’s reasonable to hope for that.
With only 6 support cards, Bard may be a viable champion, but he won’t offer interesting deck-building challenges.
I also prefers Jhin origin, giving up an entire region for a couple of cards hardly seem like a good deal unless they plan to introduce more variety of boons in the future
... better to give some hope for curselock now than to see it never played.
Given how often I was encountering it before the changes, it felt like it was one of those bad decks that people enjoy and will play anyway, and it doesn't really need to be above tier 4 to be considered 'successful'. Honestly, it's the sort of gameplay that I'd try my best to keep in tier 4 if I was one of the designers.
I'm waiting for the day warlock gets a slow deck that isn't built upon something fundamentally un-fun for the opponent. It's been a while :P
Its likely going to be a problem later I would agree, when warlock inevitably gets a good draw option in the next two if not five expansions. But then they'll just nerf it again I suppose. Its a bit hard to chew on, but its better to give some hope for curselock now than to see it never played.
Admitably though, one of the ways you'd win against this deck is to just do nothing but play one card per turn so they can never put you in an awkward position.
Just one quick question i looked an hour now but couldn find it.
When i browse a deck someone posted at OutOfCards in DECKs section. I see the "Deck Costs" and the "Your Costs" line...
But how i can see which cards from this deck i have.. and which i do need to craft since i dont have them?
First i tought i see it at the very right where all cards of the deck are listed.. maybe the ones i dont have could be greyed out or so .. but i couldnt see that.
So how i can see which cards i need to craft for the selcted Deck?
Thanks! I'm still recovering from covid (been out all week really) and left quickly after the stream ended to get some more rest in. (I've found that I can now get some stuff done in shorter bursts instead of just being completely devoid of energy). I should have proofread better!
