damn you cant even joke about jade druid without getting downvoted. that was like hearthstones 9/11

  • 22 Cards We Want To See in Hearthstone’s Core Set for 2022

dk if i agree with your altruis take but GOD i would kill for cube in the core set. i hadnt even thought of how sick that would be

  • 22 Cards We Want To See in Hearthstone’s Core Set for 2022

The only meme cards from the list in their respective meta are Whizbang, Spirit Echo and Recurring Villain, I don't know what you mean honestly. Also the coreset isn't supposed to be on par with the 3 expansions of the year powerwise.

Unless team5 is going all out for combo again in the next two expansions, I doubt Dirty Rat would be in core. My guess is that it wont make the cut, simply because the last time it was in standard it was nearly everywhere. A bit like Deathlord, the taunt and high health as well as the potential removal of a core battlecry minion usually outweigh the cons.

Including Altruis the Outcast will also prove to be a mistake. Mostly because its basically a second Lady S'theno, with the potential to be even better. Thereafter all dhunter cards would need to be designed around them both, I dont think team5 needs that right now.

I like the idea of eerie statue. But more likely we'll get Humongous Razorleaf instead

We'll likely see more mechs, murlocs, and dragons. Core tends to be rather bland in general so expansions can look good, and I don't anticipate any changes to that trend. I think a description from the past will be returning, very likely to be magnetize, and that'll be the only exciting thing coming out of core.

One card I'll very much like to see again: Carnivorous Cube. Make it so, team5.

  • New Hunter Spell - Barbed Nets

Its a cheap flexible spell, it will find its deck just because it can hit whatever the heck you want!

  • New Hunter Minion - Azsharan Saber

A rush deathrattle minion seems like an upside, as it is easier to trigger, but the Sunken Saber is ... kinda not worth it, as it makes the whole thing way too slow to be effective. Think I might be missing something here, or it is a slow build-up where it'll be relevant 2-3 expansions from now?

Even in ancient times, the Night Elves were committed cat people.

  • New Hunter Spell - Naga's Pride

Reading your comment, I got puzzled with the "12/12" until I realized what you meant - 4x 3/3's - fair assessment.

  • New Hunter Spell - Emergency Maneuvers

The mere addition of new secret(s?) to the pool is a welcomed news!

  • 22 Cards We Want To See in Hearthstone’s Core Set for 2022

This list is mostly meme cards...

can we not just get disruption that doesnt instantaneously put the combo player in an unwinnable position like dirty rat? okani was a step in the right direction (even though hes completely broken in wild where shaman can bounce him back infinitely and lock you out of the game), dirty rat is just putting a card back into standard that completely invalidates an entire category of deck a lot of the time. theres counterplay to okani, theres no counterplay to getting unlucky and drawing your combo pieces too early only to get ratted and lose the game out of no fault of your own.

inb4 disliked purely for defending combo decks

  • New Hunter Minion - Twinbow Terrorcoil

Oh boy ... this & Raj Naz'jan ... I already hate Naga Face Hunter

  • New Hunter Minion - Fluffy Hunter Naga

The only saving grace here is that it can only slowly chip away your HP per turn, and that you can only have one per decklist, but I can already foresee how this will nourish the salt tread

  • Voyage to the Sunken City

Any chance we get an updated Tavern Crawl before the end of the reveal season?
I would add a community bingo to the wish list, but we might be a tad late for that one

  • New Druid Spell - Azsharan Gardens

That's not what I meant when I asked you to water the garden.

  • New Druid Spell - Flipper Friends

Wowzer, 6 for (5) is pretty good - then knowing how druid just ramp up their mana - this is great addition to an already well garnished arsenal for Druid to populate and deal with wide boards. This will see countless plays, until its rotation or its nerf ^^

  • New Druid Minion - Bottomfeeder

It's a cool one drop that fits token-beast-druid's identity to a T. Will most likely only give you one buff, if any, but the fact that it synergizes so well with Sunken Gardens is already justifying its use in a deck.

  • Mono-Shurima is not that good

    Quote From FenrirWulf

Also out of curiosity, which kind of data set are you guys using (personally I use lor-meta and llorr-stats) because depending on the site you're using the playrate and winrates of decks may be wildly varied. But in general, Mono Shurima has 25% playrate while maintaining 49-50% of a winrate. In terms of strength, Mono Shurima is doing well in that department. Since decks with higher playrate will have a lower winrate and if it was truly a bad deck, it would not be able to maintain 50% winrate for so long despite having a ton of counters in the meta.

Is it tier 1 material? Eh, that's a bit hard to say still. Maybe in a week or so, there'd be a more defined meta and they become a tier 2 deck. But there could also be a case where the deck lists gets even more refined and goes to tier 1.

I use Runterra AR from what I am seeing the decks winrate is decreasing by the day going from 53% to 50%. It still has a high playrate tho. Around 19% last time I checked:

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - Abyssal Depths

On one hand, tutoring is great x2, on the other ... (4) mana is rather expensive, on curve; in most cases, your turn 4 would be better used increasing board presence/pressure. Not too sure what to make of this, unless your 2 lowest cost minions are really worth it?

  • 22 Cards We Want To See in Hearthstone’s Core Set for 2022

This list is neat, but I think the right move for deck diversity is to bring back Jade Golem cards. That's what the game needs.

  • 22 Cards We Want To See in Hearthstone’s Core Set for 2022

Small-Time Recruits could stand to be reduced to 2 mana. 2 mana draw 3 with deckbuilding restrictions is pretty much standard nowadays. I also wouldn't mind Crystology coming back instead.

  • 22 Cards We Want To See in Hearthstone’s Core Set for 2022

Hard disagree with Mana Cyclone, random card generation can go to hell for me but then again to each their own. That said, overall it's a pretty solid list.

  • Mobalytics New Meta Analysis

This is undoubtedly the healthiest meta movement I've seen since bandlewood released in LOR so one year let's say.

    https://lor.mobalytics.gg/stats/archetypes

Why do I say that oh mono Shurima is OP no it isn't its at 52%

What people really mean is that a lot of the value grinding lists that were oppressive are now bad.

Darkness while never OP did start the trend of play a creature that give you a free card, rinse and repeat till win.

Now we are seeing these "cycling" decks fall below 50% because even if everything cycles and they have infinite value they will still lose to mono shurima which is good

Ramp decks are back at 54% winrate whens the last time we saw that?

Pantheon is still good for those that like him at 54%

    Aggro still does aggro things.

So across the board the "decks" are getting better and the "card piles" are getting worse

I view that as amazing, but the people who have gotten used to this game being this way for so long will hate it.

  • Mono-Shurima is not that good

I think Ez/Cait is unfavored because it's a harder deck to use in general and is a combo deck which gets their pieces slower than Mono Shurima can get it in general. Also while a well-timed Scorched Earth can just win you games, most Mono Shurima decks run Rite of Negation and Soothsayer, and a single one of those could just as easily beats people who didn't draw it super early or didn't have a good opportunity to use it.

If you really want to go super favored into Mono Shurima, just run Cait/Teemo. They can't really deal with burn that well and shrooms just demolish the Emperor's Deck. I've even been running Entrapment just because it can hit a lot of Emperor's Guard.
