  • Beat That Bounty Boss!

The General's troops have major fire resistance, and can't be frozen, so that's a few comps sidelined.

He has such powerful healing, that I think my next attempt (my Orc team just got their butts kicked on Heroic) will include Tamsin for her Veil Of No Healing ability.

I lost a couple Mercs on the climb also - those Immolate abilities snuck up on me!  I think I'll be more aggressive with my healing and maybe give the Holy/Shadow gang a whirl.

    Hint #1
What kind of people tend to always forget things?

    Hint #2
Think about who the people are that work for the weather channels out there.

These are the last 2 HS clues I haven't solved. I know I can figure them out, since I know HS (I don't play the other games). Any other hints you can give without giving them away?

  • Hearthstone Patch 22.4.3 Releases Thursday and Includes Battlegrounds Buddy Balance, Kazakusan Nerf, & More

I think you're over-stating how big a difference it is. It's on average -1/-1 on each minion summoned by Smuggler, which is significant, but not often game losing when it only applies to a couple of minions in the mid game (when stats start to matter less). Ultimately quest rogue has plenty of routes to victory without ever drawing a Smuggler, so it'll do just fine.

It's effectively a nerf, sure, but it's also not actually a nerf. So the dust refund is setting a precedent for all future cards that have a bug that makes them more powerful. In the grand scheme of things, that precedent is the bigger deal imo.

  • Hearthstone Patch 22.4.3 Releases Thursday and Includes Battlegrounds Buddy Balance, Kazakusan Nerf, & More

Well the main reason why it's currently seeing a surge in play is because Smuggler gave it more options to close the game with tempo and now Smuggler has been slowed down considerably in its ability to dump stats on the board so I'd say that's gonna be relevant for the next month until the new expansion.

The dust refund is a no-brainer in this case because you shipped the card in a buffed state and are now undoing that buff, which is effectively a nerf and should be treated as such.

yeah... the only one im missing, the worst achievement in history, not far from the one with the paladin secret

  • Hearthstone Patch 22.4.3 Releases Thursday and Includes Battlegrounds Buddy Balance, Kazakusan Nerf, & More

Quest rogue has always been competent at tempo (it is rogue after all), and pretty good overall, so Smuggler being corrected isn't going to be that big a deal. I think the more noteworthy part of the change is that they are offering a full dust refund after a bug correction.

Thanks, I did not know that!

You already know I love this deck. I hope future sets lean more into disruption tools for Warlock (and Demon Hunter as well.)

  • The Cards We're Going to Miss Plenty When Scholomance Academy Rotates

Very likely one of the most impactful expansion in the last 2 years. Every class has something special, and unusually there's alot of useful neutral cards in this set.

Its actually interesting to see what team5 would do in the next rotation, because cards like Cult Neophyte and Animated Broomstick have such broad applications that you can't really just print another one of these at a different mana slot. And yet this two cards are practically some of the more important tech cards available that makes board based, midrange decks work against the backdrop of bs from the usualn classes like mage, druid and rogue.

But the one card that I'll gladly buy its ticket out of standard would be Lightning Bloom, which can consider itself incredibly lucky to never get a nerf because in both classes it was incredibly tilting to suffer through.

  • Our Thoughts on the Upcoming Battlegrounds Buddies Nerfs, Buffs, and Buddy Meter Changes

The Wagtoggle and Lich changes needed to happen. These heroes just automatically sailed through the game with minimal effort running Tavern Tier 1 builds till the engame. The tavern levelling system is there for a reason, you shouldn't be able to just ignore it and win. Both heroes were essentially on an entierly separate power level because they were guaranteed a top 2-4 spot every game. Now they're forced to play the game the same way everyone else does, with specific incentives to run Menagerie as Wagtoggle and pretty much anything with a gold advantage as Lich. It might effectively kill the two heroes in terms of power rankings but that had to happen. The only question is how far they'll drop.

  • Our Thoughts on the Upcoming Battlegrounds Buddies Nerfs, Buffs, and Buddy Meter Changes

On the buddy's tavern tier. The meter fills up slower the higher tavern tier your buddy is. Tavern 2 buddies come out lightning fast, Tavern 4 buddies are glacially slow.

  • The Cards We're Going to Miss Plenty When Ashes of Outland Rotates

I'll miss broomstick in rotation, made all my weirdo decks actually playable by giving them some board control.

  • Hearthstone Patch 22.4.3 Releases Thursday and Includes Battlegrounds Buddy Balance, Kazakusan Nerf, & More

But you can only realistically go for Quel'Delar if you get one component in the first 2 offerings. Otherwise you're just throwing away a choice for a gamble. (and Quel'delar is far easier to outlast than Locusts anyways so it probably doesn't matter)

  • Hearthstone Patch 22.4.3 Releases Thursday and Includes Battlegrounds Buddy Balance, Kazakusan Nerf, & More

It feels even worse to get hit by 56 damage straight to the face that you can't actually counter unless you're Shaman or Hunter. Don't worry, he'll still be insanely powerful and more than playable, potentially even worthy of nerfs again if the rotation doesn't have enough comparable win conditions.

I am strugling with The General in BRM. Watched videos and tried different setups but no luck so far.
Losing mercs before i am even there as well.
I have the idea i need more maxed out mercenaries for this to get it done.

Am i right in this or what do you suggest to get it done?

You can try some general-purpose strategies to trivialise it. In particular, if you have Scabbs and/or Valeera you can keep trying 'til one of them gets the Assassinate 2 treasure from an Elite encounter. That will insta-kill one of the 3 boss characters at the start, making things a lot easier.

To get there without mercs dying, it helps to bring Gruul with his fire resistance equipment. Even if it's not maxed out, having any fire resistance will save you a lot of health and make it safer to put casters out against Fire Sworn.

    Good luck!

Just curious, what team are you running in BRM anyway? The enemies there aren't usually too bad, definitely not as bad as winterspring.

In non heroic, its easy enough to just snipe off general Drak with a caster team and then sweep the two dragons away with protectors if you lose your first team. Gruul is unusually good in BRM and is good against this boss too. An ideal team would be using nature bros, which will just destroy this boss.

There are some enemies in BRM that you can easily ignore and then there's those you need to kill quickly, usually stuff that do DOT, like core hounds. Would be good to have some healers handy. Nature bros double duties this area because Malfurion allows free heals per attack and can easily deal with most bosses.

When you get the buddy depends on your tavern tier?

It's a good competition ... but this is one of the stupidest brawl :)

  • Hearthstone Patch 22.4.3 Releases Thursday and Includes Battlegrounds Buddy Balance, Kazakusan Nerf, & More

Feels really more like Kazakusan correction than a nerf (which is fine btw, I'm certain he'll have to be reassessed post rotation anyways, no point in just gutting him right away). No idea why they thought it would have been a balanced card in the first place though. Maybe the programmer didn't read it and thought it couldn'T go face :^)

Also the Smuggler nerf feels a bit harsh. Like, I get it was a bug before but you could have at least set the baseline to 1-cost. I guess it was designed with the next year in mind and would be too strong otherwise. Just a shame Quest Rogue probably goes away for now though, Smuggler really helped it's tempo game.

Damn these are insane nerfs to Wagtoggle and Baz'hial. Rip strats revolving around not levelling the Tavern, though Elder also broke some other heroes too when stolen.

I never had a problem there. Are you sure that Yulons 2. ability(+10 for board and blocks taunt\stealth for 2 turn) wasn't active?

Thanks for commenting! Nice to know someone is trying it. I think you’ll get some wins eventually, it’s definitely not as straightforward as most decks but also something like a full board of clowns is tough to deal with. If you face a combo deck you should crush them, and some of the highrolls you can do can lead to very fun and memorable wins even if it’s not that competitive overall.
