  • New Bandle City Card - Scholarly Climber

This costs 1 less mana so it's arguably better than Fused Firebrand in nondragon decks.

Should be great in limited I think

  • I hope you enjoy your big stuff control & wombo combo meta.

Looking at the latest vs meta report 3/10 top decks can be considered 'control' (at top 1k legend). Hand warlock, fel demon hunter and quest shaman.

    'control meta' indeed...

  • New Bandle City Spell - Friendship!

I originally thought for 4 mana this spell would at least give both buffs but it doesn't even do that.

Given the cost and the very mediocre spell I would't run this ever unless your region combination only allows for this one.

  • Yuumi: New Bandle City & Targon Champion Reveal - 9 New Runeterra Cards Revealed

Continuing the trend of Bandle City having infinite value, their unit buffs get returned back to their hand when the buffed unit dies, gets captured, etc. Yuumi in particular looks incredibly obnoxious: She's cheap, she's strong, and from what I can tell it's literally impossible to get rid of her for good.

  • Hearthstone Mercenaries Sees Lowered Difficulty in Newer Bounty Content in Today's Patch

Fixed a bug where Spirit of Air's Deathrattle would sometimes apply to enemy minions.

    Alright, a few questions:

1). How often did this occur? (Follow up question, did this happen to any of you?)

2). How the fuck did this happen?

I personally would rework completely Tess and Scabbs' buddies. They are fun but feel so weak (unless you get a good buddy like Millificient's).

I think Unchained Soultaker is your most interesting card here, but it's probably too weak. I don't know if making it a 2 Mana that steals the stats of a 3-Cost minion would be too broken, but I'd say it would be fine, because many 3-Costs have weak bodies with strong effects, so I guess this card would be very dependant on the meta.

About your other cards, Spellsmith is the runner up for me.

I agree with everyone else, this is very dangerous. I like Aerojulwin's suggestions about affecting only the Attack or shuffling it at the end of your turn, but I'd only apply one of them because both at the same time feels unnatural. I'd go with the shuffle effect while rising the Cost to 3 (both to make it legal for the comp and to make it less dangerous).

It's indeed a bit on the nose, but I like it a lot. The art is very cute, which is something weird considering it depicts snakes lol

About the inconsitency with the "Draw 1 card" thing, I don't mind it too much in this very specific case: wording it with "Draw a card" would break both the aesthetic of the text AND the parallel to Ultimate Infestation. If Blizzard ever printed this card (which they might do at some point), I wouldn't be surprised if they too broke the convention.

    Demonxz95
I didn't know if negative numbers would increase or decrease the count, I guess this answers my question heh

About the card, it's very weird. I don't like that minions with two or less Health die instantly nor the fact that it enables combos way too easily, but I find it very funny how this issues counter each other (you can't pull an Archmage Antonidas OTK because Sorcerer's Apprentices would die as soon as they hit the battlefield). I don't know if I like the card or not; as I said, it's very weird.

Finally, I think it shouldn't be a Beast, as it seems in the same category as Worgens or Pandaren, even if rat-people don't exist so far.

PRAISE TARGON! This is what Magnetic should've been in Hearthstone!

  • I hope you enjoy your big stuff control & wombo combo meta.

I hope in the next miniset this control meta will finally end!

About 3/4 what I meet on ladder is Control Warrior, Control Priest, Control Druid or other infinitive heal and removal decks. x_X

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here, perhaps trying to summon changes, but there were no constructed balance changes this week.

    Maybe. Maybe not

  • New Bandle City Card - Gleaming Lantern

With the new Attach cards and the confirmation that its effect works the turn you play it, I think Gleaming Lantern is going to skyrocket as the top must-nerf card in the new expansion. You just play this card in swarm decks like Bandle City Mayor. It has 3/3 statline which makes it hard to kill compared to Mayor as well. Idk card just seems ridiculous, I hope I'm the one that's wrong but I can't just see it NOT being good.

  • New Bandle City Spell - Friendship!

Both of its effects are worse than those of cards we already have: Prismatic Barrier gives Barrier for less mana, Spirit's Refuge gives Barrier AND Lifesteal for the same mana, and Bastion's buff lasts longer and grants permanent stat buffs. In this card's favor is its versatility: It can give Barrier OR Spellshield, whichever one you need. And we've seen the value of versatility: It's why Three Sisters is the single most played card from Freljord, and Twin Disciplines is the most played card from Ionia.

This card's versatility is helpful, but it's not as good as Twin Disciplines or even Three Sisters. Three Sisters gives you three options, this one only gives you two and both are purely defensive. It's an alright card, maybe it sees play or maybe not, it's a meta call. Verdict: 3/5

  • Yuumi: New Bandle City & Targon Champion Reveal - 9 New Runeterra Cards Revealed

Yeah and when you think about it, it's also like the Libram of Wisdom and gives pretty much infinite value.

  • New Bandle City Card - Papercraft Dragon

wow slow speed grant and ally +2+2 and double attack? That's combined with any good overwhelm unit (like Ruin Runner) got to be nuts.

Sure you open yourself up to get removed but the potential of this buff is huge + its reusable.

I can't see this not making into at least some (maybe not all meme) decks

  • New Bandle City Spell - Prowling Projectile

Fated decks may want this, but no other decks will. Verdict: 3/5

  • Yuumi: New Bandle City & Targon Champion Reveal - 9 New Runeterra Cards Revealed

I think these cards are really strong. They work with handbuff and Gleaming Lantern reduces their cost. They're also not counterable since they're more like a Focus-speed card that passes priority. That means that no matter what you get the buff on the unit which is a pretty good tradeoff for not being able to use spell mana.

Also, Silence and Transforms doesn't affect Attach.

  • New Bandle City Card - Mushroom Ring

Similar to Fae Bladetwirler, only this costs more mana and has less health. On the plus side, this unit is actually a Fae (unlike Bladetwirler), so he can get a mana discount from Gleaming Lantern. Verdict: 1/5

  • Yuumi: New Bandle City & Targon Champion Reveal - 9 New Runeterra Cards Revealed

So we got Yuumi together with the LoR version of magnetics?

Did you riot have to attach (no pun intended) my favourite mechanic from Hearthstone to league's most obnoxious champion?

  • New Bandle City Card - Scholarly Climber

Reminds me of Fused Firebrand, except slightly worse. It's not terrible, but it would take a niche metagame for this to see play. 2/5

  • New Bandle City Champion - Yuumi

I always liked a good Yuumi Rumble botlane when Yuumi was released. Let's see if LoR Yuumi Rumble can catch up.

  • New Bandle City Card - Quick Quill

Quick attack is a defensive buff for attacking units; it saves the attacker from losing health to a weaker defender. I'm not sure that the likes of Pantheon or Wounded Whiteflame need this defensive buff; I can't even remember the last time I saw either of them dying to damage after having been buffed. Verdict: 2/5

  • New Bandle City Card - Assistant Librarian

Stat-wise, this is pretty underwhelming compared to Saga Seeker and Wounded Whiteflame, but we know that Fated units don't want for stats for very long. Its upside is drawing you cards on a Nexus strike. The thing about Fated units is: Your opponent often just lets them strike their Nexus rather than sacrifice one of their units, especially in the early turns of the game, and if this guy draws you even a single card from his ability, then he's doing great. If you give him Elusive or Overwhelm, he can become a huge value engine for a Pantheon Fated deck.

My biggest concern is this unit's region. Pantheon Fated decks have so far been a Targon + Demacia affair, and I'm not sure what Fated strategies would look like for a Targon + Bandle deck. Verdict: 4/5

  • Make Your Own Luck - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

I agree with the feedback that Unchained Soultaker was indeed too weak and far too situational, so I made some new, completely different cards.
