Compare these relevant Champs to the other Demacian Champs and you see that the others are generically pretty strong but don't have meaningful synergies with any particular strategy; it's just a lot of "I've struck" or "Allies blocked" or "You've attacked." They can fit in all kinds of decks that run Demacia, and in certain metagames they might be very relevant, but they're also generic enough that any highly synergist deck is likely to pass over them in favor of doubling down on its synergies.
This is sort of the double-edged sword of Champ design in LoR - many of Demacia's Champs are well-designed from a traditional CCG standpoint, but that often renders them less compelling because of how synergy focused LoR is. They fit the regional identity very well, and offer powerful effects that exceed follower cards (persistent bonus Rally's, persistent free Barriers or challenger units to make for high value trades, etc), but the high-synergy champs end up being more relevant precisely because they'll find a home when any part of their synergistic deck is strong. When synergy is the primary driver for deck building, you end up with more narrow deck-building options and linear game plans, so there's just no room for a generically strong midrange Champ like Garen because he doesn't do enough to progress your main strategy. For what it's worth, I don't think this is strictly a problem for Demacia, but it may be true that it's a bigger problem for Demacia than other regions because the region is built for board-based, midrange playstyles.

It's been a while, but I finally got my fifth golden hero! Shaman now joins Warrior, Hunter, Paladin, and Demon Hunter as my golden classes. The golden Thrall isn't really my favorite, but it's fine I guess. I've been having a blast playing Shaman recently, though I've had to toil away for the last 20 wins because Rogue is just choking out all other archetypes (my Quest Shaman just doesn't stand a chance against Poison Rogues). But I still found some wins here and there to reach 500. And how fitting is it that the opponent I beat for that 500th win is named Gold??? If that doesn't make you believe in destiny, I don't know what will.
My next goal will probably be Warlock and Priest, since they're the ones closest to 500. Mage, as usual, remains in a pitiful state. I just don't like the class and all its shenanigans. Let's see what the nerfs will be, hopefully they'll make Deathrattle Priest a little more viable!

Looks like training grounds is as useless as I thought. Useful perhaps to those who just joined into mercs and have tons of cash to splash on packs. I was actually thinking that this might passively give out some coins to the chosen merc, even if its very slow and in very small amounts. Because you'd passively level up your mercs while grinding up for coins anyway, so what is the point?

Their is so many things that have to go right, i will gladly do tigger 1000 secret insted of that Krush from above!, everytime i just have a slim chance to actully do it Ichman and Taelan is bottom 5, i've never seen that luck, i have in 18 games now seen Ichman or Taelan 2 or 3 times i mullig hard for them and everything but cant seem to find them

Not sure if you checked the stats but Big Beast hunter is far from tier 4 competitively and it is by far the best play in the deck. Ichman ends games.

I would say Bru'kan of the Elements hands down, because it is indeed multi-functional as you mentioned yourself.
In Wild, he won me many many games in my Freeze Shudderwock Shaman deck to reach Legend. Such great fun!

I'm assuming they subtract the double dipping dust refund but still nice to get all the dust right before a new rotation/patch.

If I remember correctly this isn't the big patch for Mercs so I'm not surprised they're only dumping another miniset so far.
Oh well, I'll wait until the next big updated and if they don't address the glaring issues I'll just drop Mercs altogether.
