Just wanted to check back and bring a useful tip for the Wing Commander Ichman achievement. Sunscale Raptor's Frenzy effect goes off before Ichman's, meaning that if you set up a big enough raptor in your deck (which isn't hard) you don't actually need 5 beasts in deck because as long as you trigger the frenzy you'll always summon another raptor. This makes the achievement probably a lot easier since you don't have to rely on Dire Frenzy to stack your deck
January 11 is when they stop counting. The questline remains in place until rotation, and you will receive the golden opposing leader if you reach the top honor rank before then.
The golden version is NOT guaranteed. You have to earn enough honor to finish the legendary questline.
The diamond version IS guaranteed, but it will not necessarily be the one you want. It will be a diamond version of the leader of the faction that collects the most honor by January 11. (Drek'thar if Horde wins; Vanndar if Alliance wins.)
If you're just going on aggregate streaming numbers, I'd say the game was never really all that popular but has seen a sustained dip over the last several months compared to the last year: https://twitchtracker.com/games/514790
Side note: Malygos + Iceblood Garrison does make for a sweet unexpected board clear. Managed to win a couple games with this combo and that's saying something for an achievement hunting deck
Roadhog - I believe chain hook should swap something in the field at random with the bench. Otherwise, if you dont kill straight, your opponent now has 4 heroes instead of 3 out.
Reaper - Solid Fighter. Death blossom very weak though. 5 damage AoE is about as weak as it can get.
Genji - Dragonblade will straight out have him killed whenever its played, unless by chance you get immunity up on the first strike. Shuriken throw simply does it better in nearly any scenario. Perhaps he should have immunity by default.
Brigitte - Comparable to Cornelius Roame. Except I kinda think cornelius is better in some respects, because at least it gives out a taunt, and flail strike being an attack means she's taking damage to heal her teammates. Not good, since her role is largely support.
This is my first attempt at Mercenaries content. I feel like Mercenaries is the perfect mode to represent the heroes of Overwatch and their abilities.
Roles
Tanks = Protectors, Damage = Fighters, Support = Casters
The Mercenaries include: Level 30 stats (without +1/+5 max bonus), All Level 5 abilities and all Level 4 equipment.
Every now and again, I will update this thread with brand new Mercenaries. To tide us over until then, here are the first five: Roadhog, Reaper, Widowmaker, Genji and Brigitte.

I'll probably update stats of levels 15 and 30 tomorrow and rework Impale a little.
About Locust Swarm, I probably made it worse than it should've been because I feared AoE + healing was too much. Maybe 2-5-8-9-10 (like Samuro's AoE) would be more balanced?
Locust swarm is fine. The healing naturally weakens as there's less board, so there's no insurmountable advantage. Even in pve, its fairly similar to holy nova, and since Anubarak doesn't have taunt he can't just sit and spam against bosses too.
I look and see what Graplr the only streamer still supporting the game daily
I just popped into Twitch to check. Majinbae has over 700 viewers right now. I checked his schedule - technically, you're right that he doesn't stream daily. He skips Friday. And the weekend is not listed in his schedule, but he often streams on weekends as well.
Looks like Jason Fleurant took a break for the holidays, but he also streams basically every day.
And then you have European streamers like Alanzq and Freshlobster.
I have no idea where you got the idea that Graplr is the only streamer left.

At Rank 1 Impale appears to be worse than Diablo's Doom Charge, before eventually reaching the same state. It's fine as Diablo's regular/no-cooldown ability, but I wouldn't replicate it here as Anub'arak's third ability.
If you're looking for additional references or whatnot, I would look at his Heroes of the Storm abilities. Maybe Burrow Charge or Cocoon?
I think he lacks a way to improve himself in his main kit, like boosting his Attack, or gaining Taunt. He can heal, which is nice, but most of the time I expect your opponent to ignore him because his overall impact seems low...unless you have Crypt Lord Claws, like dapperdog mentioned.
A solid start, though, all things considered :) I've always liked Anub'arak for whatever reason.
Should have presented it at level 30, so we'd know what its full stats are like maxed out.
But its moveset is pretty standard, except for the infest, which if done right is absolutely game breaking in pve, but probably impossible in pvp without a lot of support. The other abilities are simply weaker compared to other mercs. Impale especially, because its practically grom's shattering slam except much worse.
Looking at how broken bleed is, crypt lord claws is good, but it all depends on the maxed out attack value.
I recently discovered there's a Mercenary tab in Hearthcards, and, since I've been playing Mercs recently, I wanted to create a custom character. It's mainly based on the Crypt Lord from Warcraft 3.

I haven't been keeping track as I was playing mostly on mobile yesterday but I started off the year playing my Tiny Toys Evolve Shaman in Wild and I'm pretty sure I won at least 2 of the first 3. Maybe all three... Can't remember. I also played some Classic Face Hunter just because, won several games with that. Then started playing a Standard hybrid DH deck with Fel spells and big demons to try and satisfy the "Deal 100 Fel Damage" quest. Just threw the list together in two minutes without thinking too much about it, and won a 2 of the first three games with that too!
Again, not keeping track of what I'm playing against, but definitely not seeing the same old decks as before. Wild is still riddled with QL Warrior and QL Hunter, but it's Wild so I unfortunately expect them to take their time making changes there. Classic is of course Classic, nothing is going to change there, and then Standard seems fine to me if I'm being honest.
Are some of the decks that were strong before still strong? Yes. Are there still things that could be better? Probably. Did I start my Wild climb this month with an off meta Shaman deck, and my Standard climb this month with a hybrid of two different Tier 3 DH decks that is so unoptimized I should be losing left and right?! Yes! And again, I won most of the games I played so far at the bottom of both monthly ladders.
Once the team returns from holiday break, which I assume is tomorrow(?), then I'm sure they'll be looking at more potential card changes and evaluating nerfs and buffs to affect both Standard and Wild. At least I hope they will look at Wild too...
Huh, definitely did not expect to be mentioned in this article. I'm not sure how I even got all those achievements! I am guessing a lot are collection based??
Anyway, congrats on a great year, OoC! Here's to an even better 2022.

Alanzq might stream daily but to me he is not an option worth mentioning.
I only were 2 times on his channel and boy was he arrogant towards his audience.
Sure some might think different on him but to me he is just a douche and I won't watch him even if he is a good player.
However Snnuy and Freshlobster I can recommend since they are decent players and nice at the same time imo.

If I remember correctly you get the opposing faction leader when you get to last rank of honor.
But does this mean the deadline is Jan 11, and after that you cannot receive it, can someone clarify??
