Just some advice on Standard packs, seeing as we're getting 3 free packs from the quests. I started doing this "trick" since Standard packs were released and it's saved me on quite a few new packs from recent expansions.
Save your Standard packs for the next expansion once you're happy with your current standard collection. Same can be said with class packs that we get from Book of Mercs.

I'm more of a collector and thus never got into deck building in Hearthstone although I'm playing HS since the very beginning. Since the meta is getting more and more boring for me, I want to take a look at deck building. I feel, it is a good point in time, since next year a lot of sets will rotate and the card pool will be rather small.
However I can't find any real detailed guide about how to approach deck building at all. The best one I found is the Beginners Guide over at Icy-Veins, which is quite superficial.
Can you recommend any good guides (YT or Twitch Videos would be okay too), that go beyond the basic tips?

Well, I actually knew this was a thing a few days back but since only Reddit is showing it, I thought I should at very least keep all informed that Thjis is hosting an invitational tournament today (21st Dec) on 2pm CET. Watch it via his twitch or through the other participants. Far as I know, Kibler, bunnyhopper, nohandsgamer, gaby, and curiously Cora (currently in blizz as designer) are part of it.
At very least because its less serious than blizz run tournaments we can expect there to be a mix of tier 1-2 decks along with a few less viable but fun decks as well. It is, after all, the first tournament post patch.
For anyone serious about hearthstone esport, or just ranked standard should give it a watch. Its one of those rare non-blizz tournament I've seen in ages.
You can work the Snowtroll one in Rogue as well. I did it by discovering Build a Snowman with Wand Thief. Then you play the other spells at your leisure. As long as you don't clog up the pool of non-class cards with more than two others you can play Contraband Stash to complete it.
I'll drop Shadow Druid for now, although I do like the Arcane Owl idea. How about one of these?
The first one is information + disruption, while the second one keeps the multiplying-Deathrattle synergy to influence decision-making. I wanted it to be only your opponent who suffers, but try fitting the word "opponent" in there and keep it within four lines of text lol D:

So starting today and until Blizzard improves Mercenaries to an acceptable level I'm going to 1) only play Mercenaries to complete Toki's daily task and Hearthstone's daily quests, and 2) stop opening Mercenaries Packs. Putting this out here so y'all on OoC can hold me to this lol.

After working my way through this one and two more from this wonderful „Replay all cards you ever played from another class in your life“(!!!) we finally go into fatigue (both). I‘m way ahead and we are just two turns away from my win. The rogue suddenly discovers Devolving missiles and turns one my creeps into Cornelius Roame. He killed me in two remaining turns while drawing fatigue like crazy. Thank you RNGesus. Truly ever in my favor
Fallen hero is an interesting inclusion. Why not Amplified Snowflurry? Its basically another tour guide.
I think there's enough justification to swap Deep Freeze with Rune of the Archmage, which will likely improve your matchup against midrange decks that aren't paladin. Deep freeze doesn't curve into dawngrasp anyway.
