Drek'thar might be neutral (or tied into some other mechanic) considering he's the general for the Horde in Alterac Valley. We don't know anything about the set's mechanics yet. Maybe he'll be a Druid/Mage/Shaman/Warlock/Warrior card and Vanndar Stormpike will be a DH/Hunter/Paladin/Priest/Rogue card, or something like that.
Thanks. I don't really get the connection between that word and Samara/Sadako unless one is a kind of the other. My only other idea was to go through all the card art until I found it, but there are over 600 cards.
Just gonna repurpose this topic to discuss the meta stats for the new Jayce decks, and do a little sidebar for Swims entries.
Basically Jayce Heimer which I view to be an absolutely cracked op deck has an abysmal 50% winrate a lot of that probably has to do with the inclusion of the win more tech tribal card, when you could literally just run stress test and win more against open attacks.
Jayce Lux does better let's call it 53-55% it's basically the version Mogwai showed off...only changes I make personally to my list is I looooove progress day on Jayce Lux. Getting the burst beam plus the 3 mana discount and the draw and future discounts is big I find for mirrors, and every other matchup.
But the real interesting thing, is that swim will not run this decks at all and basically prefers solo Lux or solo Jayce with just a cycling package all the way down to shell girl on 6 and the obvious 4 mana champ inclusion I will not mention because we are all sick of her.
Finally the only Jayce list to put up real competitive numbers is this card pile here:

I'm 90% certain that this deck wins in the same way go hard used to win.
Elise generates a bunch of pain in the butt bodies, and then you can just go for your slow win con, Jayce into double beam, and sure ledros too why not it basically stops heimer from ever winning.
I would recommend trying out the deck without Kronx to see if you like the playstyle before crafting him. You can keep one Serpent Egg instead of Kronx.
You have to beat an adventure to unlock the next one so if your playing jinx for example you have to finish her story to unlock Lulu's adventure them beat Lulu to unlock Gangplank adventure beat Gangplank to unlock Ezreal adventure then beat him to unlock Zed then Nautilus then Viktor. If you change your champion you have to have to do the same thing all over again.
There's actually a small chance that the mercs dont actually feature in its entirety in the next expansion. Tamsin's dead dead, and Cariel as well as Kurtrus's arcs are complete. The only incomplete arc is currently Xyrella's, and its likely that Tavish and Varden will be there. But Guff, Brukan, Rokara, and Scabbs have actually little to no reason to continue beyond this point.
Drek'thar seems like someone that will be in the miniset as a marquee, like how Edwin and Naralex was before. I wouldn't be surprised to not see him in the expansion, but certainly in the miniset. Admitably my WoW knowledge here is limited, so I dont know where the miniset would be placed in the region.
Yeah I think Serpent Egg can be replaced with Wicked Shipment. I think Kronx is a worth craft if you like the playstyle because there are so many fun decks they go in: Galakrond Warrior (different variations), Galakrond Shaman, Reno Galakrond Shaman, Galakrond Rogue (different variations including C’thun and Reno), Galakrond Priest, Reno Control Priest with Galakrond for value, and of course Galakrond Warlock.
The problem Im having with this card is simply that it fills the board, but does nothing else. Ironically if you fill the board completely, you cant even play Animated Broomstick to secure value trades or tempo. That's not to say that the card's trash, but its very meta dependent, and of course the support spells have to be really good too for this to work at all.
I hope the frost spells in shaman dont actually freeze, because I'd be seriously considering just playing freeze effects in doomhammer shaman and completely making everyone's life miserable. With Multicaster as a draw engine, this can actually be a sad reality.
And I had that confidence Shaw would appear last time, yet he never did, despite being among the most obvious characters to appear, and it even being a rogue set focused on the SI:7. There wasn't even a lore-based reason not to include him, since Scabbs' bio mentions him. Heck, Antonidas and Lothar came back from the grave to appear, and the mage doesn't even have anything to do with Stormwind!
So I guess I'm just expecting questionable character choices from Blizz now. Being an obvious inclusion doesn't seem sufficient, and being relevant doesn't seem necessary.
There's absolutely 0 chance the mercs don't get cards, and almost as little of a chance they're not Hero cards.
Drek'thar is either neutral, or part of the mini-set (unlikely because of Cookie in Deadmines). Or they're increasing the number of Legebdaries per class to 3.
Hang on a second. If this is one of shaman's legendaries, then either the mercenary characters won't get a legendary card this time, or Drek'thar (the guy who renounced being a warlock and returned the orcs to their honourable shamanistic past, and personally taught Thrall shamanism too) isn't a shaman card.
I suspect the latter is more likely, which just feels wrong. It has echoes of the missing Mathias Shaw last expansion, who was a sure-fire rogue card replaced by some random HS-original orc... in a set about Stormwind of all places! Come on Blizz, you better at least have made Drek'thar neutral, and not make him suffer the same indignity Shaw did.
The new set symbol isn't available yet in the program we use to model the cards so we are just using the classic one for now. The actual set symbol will be on all the cards once the reveal season properly starts.

Keep in mind there's going to be a core set rotation next year; there's a decent chance Freeze Shaman synergy rotates back into standard from KotFT.

Thanks for the guide! Do you think Wicked Shipment slots into this deck? Want to try out Galakrond decks, but I need to craft Kronx first.
