  • Top Hearthstone Decks to Climb in Week 3 of the Stormwind Meta - Post-Nerf Powerhouses

I really like the look of this aggro druid. Was never a fan of the spell token druid but this one looks interesting to play. Guess I need to open more packs or just straight up craft the Oracle of Elunes

  • People keep conceding when I have the Sword of a Thousand Truths

I actually stopped actively chasing the more difficult achievements because of this. I mean some of them are pretty hard to pull off in the first place and then your opponent concedes. Too frustrating for me.

Yeah, sadly very few people seem to be both able to recognise an achievement hunter, and willing to set aside their own agenda to help out. You'd think it wouldn't be much trouble to let the opponent punch you twice, wouldn't you?

I don't know what deck you are using, but there is an Elwynn Boar priest deck in Wild that is actually pretty solid (at least when it draws a boar early), and its player might therefore not be so easily recognised as an achievement hunter. I find there is a negative correlation between the viability of a deck and the willingness of opponents to help out. I.e., if you don't want them to concede as soon as they know they've lost, you practically have to scream "this is not a serious deck, please have pity on me and let me do this" at them. Purposely not attacking the opponent with minion has been the most reliable way for me to do this in the past.

Lol, that guy that is asking for a gold sink.

This is floating my mind for quit some time and seems like the natural next step. I want to show of my achievements more efficiently.
In retrospect, I would have preferred an upgrade to the hero frame as a reward for 1000 wins over a portrait.
With the influx of new portraits (mostly buyable), these truly meaningful portraits are used less and less.

The best thing would be making achievements public. I’d love to browse my opponents achievements while he’s roping me on turn two.
(But maybe he’s roping because he’s checking out my achievements? Hm this idea is a little flawed lol

Yep - most of the time the opponent concedes before you could hit for the Achievement - same here for the achievement where you have to kill with the Juggernaut Cannons. Had it set up like 3 times now but the opponent concedes before the Juggernaut shoots.

Sure they can concede if they want to - but sometimes it would be nice if someone would recognize that the other one maybe does this for an achievement and let them hit but i guess most people do not care about that.

So yeah, people who try for achievements like this will have to grind and find an opponent who will let them do it.

Fuck quests and fuck quest players.

  • People keep conceding when I have the Sword of a Thousand Truths

I managed to get it about 5 times, and in all of those games, the opponent conceded before I can finish them off and get the achievement.

Please kindly let people destroy you with the sword for 200EXP. They will be eternally grateful for that. Thank you for listening.

I like the idea of titles. It was one of the few unique features of The Elder Scrolls: Legends. I don't really like the idea of avatars, but it also wouldn't really impact the game at all so I guess I do not mind.

The Demon Seed needs to lose lifesteal. Warlock has too much life gain to make the self-pain matter much.

Either way, the meta doesn't feel good at all. When combo decks are closing out games prior to turn 8 it makes the deck choices binary and that's boring AF.

They can't remove the lifesteal from the Questline because that would obliterate the quest forever by forcing you to deal 21 damage to yourself rather than 15 to get the thing online. As is, this quest will lose a ton of power at rotation because most of the key cards in these Questlock decks come from Year of the Phoenix.

Warlock got exactly one healing card in Forged in the Barrens (Blood Shard Bristleback), and one in United in Stormwind (Touch of the Nathrezim). I'm not saying we all ought to wait until rotation in March/April 2022 to see a change in the metagame, but I think if any cards get nerfed, it's way more likely to be the Year of the Phoenix cards that a) are a major part of these decks and b) will be rotating sooner (and are therefore safer to nerf without pissing people off).

  • Porra macho!!

    ::::::::Google translate:::::

Male fucking!! I didn't check your deck, I believed the basics you would know how to do!! Take it up your ass!!

I lost a match for not checking your deck.

    Take it in your ass!!

How do you make a deck with no repeat cards and put that card in your deck: "Soul Shear"? Do you have dementia?

While I appreciate that trying to balance the game is harder than it looks, I really think team5 shot themselves in the foot with the design of the stormwind quests. Its simply too easy to finish, features 2 reward tiers, and the final reward is so powerful the game just turns one sided from there.

At time of writing its actually possible to finish the quest by turn 5-6 consistently for most. The quests designed in the past were not only slower (compare two very similar quest conditions; The Marsh Queen with Rise to the Occasion) but the rewards were also weaker i.e. finishing it provides an advantage, but doesn't just outright win the game in the next 1-2 turns. Powerful game ending rewards should also be harder to reach; Seek Guidance is a good example of that. Not a turn 6 finish followed by a game over courtesy of The Demon Seed

I really think that eventually we'll eventually be seeing some tweaking on the quest conditions, not merely for more diversity in the meta, but also because I feel that the power creep generated by the quest decks and its hyper aggro counters have gone so far compared to the barrens meta that for the next expansion to see any play at all it'll have to ramped up even higher. We've already been through this with the DKs in KotFT, and honestly even the DKs look like shit compared to the quest rewards in this expansion. Perhaps the next expansion power creep will give control so much health gain and disruption that the quest decks dies out but in turn recreates the bs meta that was RoS warriorstone and every aggro game lasts 14 turns on average.

If Warlock ends up getting nerfed again then i would bet on them weakening several healing options to make the class more vulnerable to aggression. Probably Touch of the Nathrezim going down to 2 healing or something like that. They most likely want to avoid targeting any of the quests directly because they are new. Once some time has passed (like a month or two) then they will start attacking the root of the problem which are the quests. Until then we will have to endure this terrible meta. I'm probably going to spend more time on BGs because of that.

  • New Bandle City Card - Gruff Grenadier

Between this and Bandle City mayor, a mono BC deck would have no problem creating big board at a mana efficient cost add a champion that can buff the whole board like poppy and Tristana and you got yourself a midrange deck that can quickly snowball the opponent.

  • Brawl Block: Gods, Gadgetzan, Gurubashi

feels weird, doesnt it? actual long games

    *mindblown*

  • New Bandle City Card - Bandle City Mayor

Mana cheats are really powerful, the 2 health is a bit weak  but with cards like stress defense Bandle City should have no problem keeping this alive.

  • New Bandle City Card - Bandle Gunners

Dealing 4 damage with each strike is a decent effect but 8 drop need to have more than decent effect to find a spot in anything but meme deck.

  • New Bandle City Spell - Purpleberry Shake

Another powerful burst speed spell, like we don't have enough of those already, all those pesky elusive units like Teemo and young witch are going to be even harder to remove.

  • Diamond Cards We'd Love to See From Hearthstone's Year of the Dragon

That Deathwing card is so awesome. Look at the madness he displays

    Yup

  • Tristana: New Bandle City Champion Reveal - 10 New Runeterra Cards Revealed

    I agree Linkblade.

I also feel that the Impact keyword feels like a weird version of overwhelm.  I don't quite get why the printed it.  Manifest? Makes sense, we were expecting it down the road sooner or later (though TBH, I thought Invoke was already their way of doing discover, but apparently Invoke is purely discover for celestial cards, so Manifest appears to be a much wider pool or mechanic)

Anyhow....back to my previous statement.  Impact just feels like Overwhelm except it doesn't require you to essentially kill the minion in order to deal the damage.  Which means it's either going to feel worse than Overwhelm in practice, or it's going to be much better than overwhelm in general.

Either case doesn't bode well: They either print a new keyword that obviates the old keyword, or they print a new keyword that doesn't do anything really functionally different than a previous keyword (which is boring and lazy development)

That sounds like it can only be Coliseum Manager

Sorry I haven't been updating the scores, will soon

  • Tristana: New Bandle City Champion Reveal - 10 New Runeterra Cards Revealed

I get what your saying but between her champion spell and fact that she grant impact to allies, I would say that there is some element of her kit in her design. as for the multi region, recent lore do portray Tristana as the level headed leader to the rest of the Yordles and that's reflected in her design she is the champion ties all different these multi region Yordle cards together.

This smells like coming up with the Runeterra gameplay first, then finding a LoL champion to attach it to :/

They are making cards for Runeterra so prioritizing it's gameplay first is logical.

Take Yasuo they successfully emulated many aspect of his design in LOL but he ended up being a very clunky champion. Zoe who on the other hand play nothing like her league counterpart but she ended being one best champion in the game and that what's matter that a champion function well as card not how faithful he is to an iteration from a completely different medium. Anyway this just my opinion feel free to disagree.
