what I'm saying is based on the reveals it will still be dominant…read the words with your eyeballs.
Every now and then I play a few games in diamond on my phone to see if the metas shifted and to make predictions for how new card releases will impact things.
You did say that you "play a game to see if the meta have shifted" So yeah I did read the words with my eyeballs. Not that I need to, since your post lately have been nothing but repeating the same complains over and over again.
Yeah as the list plays now. You either play thaliyah onto salt spire and survive to have those pop and you win. Or you loose before then, either way malphite very seldom gets played at all. Things are just tooooo turbo.
I like hearthstone a lot more. LoR is more generous with it's rewards, but that is about where the appeal ends. I don't like the UI or setup for the menu, collection manager etc. I don't like how many keywords and regions there are. I don't like how fast Riot makes new cards. I don't like the turn/rounds system. And just in general I don't think the game play is fun. A lot of these things are subjective and if you like them that's fine. The main point I am trying to make is that LoR simply isn't for me and I just have more fun playing Hearthstone.
Would you say that LoR has too many keywords "in a vacuum" or that the game is just too complex for newcomers and those playing it as a supplement to Hearthstone/MtGA/etc? In other words: if every other digital CCG shut down tomorrow and LoR was now the only game you could play, would that change your opinion?
I frame my question like that because you also critique the amount of regions, but if we draw the comparison between LoR regions (currently 9, will grow to 10 this fall) and HS classes (currently 10, possibly will grow in the future), HS is actually more complex in this regard. Please note that I don't consider this to be a logical inconsistency -- it is a totally valid opinion to think of playing HS as the status quo and to frame your evaluations of other games from the practical viewpoint that you already know and play HS rather than the theoretical viewpoint of if you were starting both games from scratch. Honestly, that's probably the reason why I haven't tried out Mythgard myself despite hearing such great things about it. I'm just curious if you were giving that statement about the LoR keywords objectively or subjectively based on your preference to play HS.
Technically true -- on play is strictly worse than on summon -- but I can't think of any non-meme decks that are affected by this. The change would only be relevant if you had a way to either cheat out or resurrect a boat, and I've never encountered that in constructed. It makes me wonder if there's some upcoming power-combo with the about-to-be-released cards that they wanted to nip in the bud or if they just wanted to make the text more consistent.
You can play Anka earlier since you need to trade her in. Alternative way is if Hemet destroyed this main combo or if no opponent minions. I’m not sure what you mean by came up with this. Do you mean overall deck idea or to use Anka with Mecha’thun?
Oh... Obviously... The ideal scenario is play Anka in the same OTK turn? 5 for Anka, 1 for Mecha, 1 for the weapon, 1 for Passage, 2 for HP (destroy weapon), sacrifice the Mecha... Technically if you have all the pieces in hand and Hemet early it can be done before turn 10(?)
And in the rare case where opponent doesn't have minions? Only then you go for the alternative way?
Did you come with this yourself or is it someone else's (genious) idea? I'm almost sure Hemet or Mecha'Thun will end up nerfed/banned sooner or later
One hot tip to make the deck even better: remove 3 copies of Malphite and put any random card from your collection into the deck. You will be surprised how effective that is :)
I see this card very positive and I think it has its place as 1x or 2x. Besides an "overwhelming burst" option that may suprise or finishes off enemys, there are a few things in my mind:
- Arrel the Tracker - Riven +10 - Sivir/LeBlanc - Flurry of Fistst - Ghost/Elusive - Syncopation
And as a counter to Frostbite, and Spiders/-Attack such as Quicksand or Scrying Sands.
Any Play is also a summon, but a summon isn't necessarily a play. Plays only happen from hand, while summons are whenever it appears on the board.
Best example if Spectral Matron: As they are now, using it on a boat would make that boat would also draw you a card. If it's changed to Play, the draw doesn't happen.
I like it a lot, here is one suggestion; add Loatheb so when you play Shudderwock and he summons a large board for you it’s protected from board clears and has a higher chance of winning vs a control deck.
Every now and then I play a few games in diamond on my phone to see if the metas shifted and to make predictions for how new card releases will impact things.
But as far as I can tell right now, nothing being released will stop the 60% Azir Irelia meta from being dominant unless there are "substantial" changes made to the decks mechanics.
Like you can match them 1 for 1 with drops and healing and you'll still loose pretty much every game due to their massive tempo advantage.
While Riot claims their internal statistics and matchup tables are "healthy" all I see on mobalitics is a few very dominant decks in the 55% winrate category and one straight up busted one in the 60% category.
As we enter July I guess we'll see if Riot gets the balls to start hard nerfing certain archetypes after all the player frustration but so far its been nothing but pussy footing around by the balance team.
Fizz Tf was literally a bundle of kittens compared to what it's like to play at high ranks these days.
Playing CCG since the releas of the first Pokemon cards and the rise of the Yugi franchise, I totally agree. (Yes I am that old) LoR is a fantastic game and has merged everything I would love about a CCG together.
I just saw that all boats like Leviathan or The Syren got a change from "summon" to "play". I am just a casual but I play Swain really a lot so I wondered how much impact that has.
Can someone can explain to me the decisive difference or give some examples of why that matters?
THX
EDIT: Is it maybe that a "play" is faster than a "summon" and you e.g. get a Swain just for "playing" the Leviathan instead of having it "fully summoned" to the board?
Yeah thats not hard. Like again, expectations are tempered right now. This expansion is releasing an auto-build aggro predict shell when control predict still isn't a thing.
That strikes me as odd coming from mtg where the whole point of draw fixing is to find answers.
So obviously lurk will be better then zillian when there's 10 cards supporting it and control zillian is only getting one in this expansion.
Quite strong ngl, seems like a big poro pay off, reminds me of a hearthstone card that adapted murlocs (gentle dinosaur or something dunno)
sure different games but also here this statline is not as bad, also "adapts" itself.
TBH I believe this is enough to make poro decks viable.
Poros are already viable, they just aren't OP pieces of crap, like the 3-4 strongest decks are. Fabled Poro might just be enough to push it over the edge into actually good. Maybe.
I'm holding out for them making Iceborn Legacy fast or burst (maybe with a cost increase) - if they do that, Poros will definitely be good.
If they make Iceborn Legacy a thing again watch out for my pew pew turrets running you over :)

26th June update: SinisterMe's WILD Malygos Druid, ft. Taunt minions to surprise your opponent!
Need to buy some time? Has your opponent played Loatheb and stopped you from casting spells alongside Malygos? No problem! Play some taunt minions to buy some time!
One watcher isn't a problem, control deck can deal it with it by using hard removal like Falling Comet, Vengeance or silence like Equinox. It's the decks ability to cheat out multiple Watcher with Spectral Matron and to lesser extended Fading Memories, that makes the match up unwinnable to control decks.
As for Atrocity I understand your dislike for the card but in the end the day, it's a fair card to play against. "boring" is not a reason to nerf let alone ban a card.
Soooo Azir Irelia Is Still Dominant
You did say that you "play a game to see if the meta have shifted" So yeah I did read the words with my eyeballs. Not that I need to, since your post lately have been nothing but repeating the same complains over and over again.
Soooo Azir Irelia Is Still Dominant
what I'm saying is based on the reveals it will still be dominant...read the words with your eyeballs.
So there needs to be hard nerfs
Like let's say that lurk is tier 2 and has a 55 percent winrate, best case scenario because it looks pretty good
Arelia Azir will still be the best tempo list and will not take a hit in it's winrate post expansion.
So yes...plz nerf Riot k thanks it's been going on months now

UPCOMING PATCH CHANGES FOR BOATS
Good example.
Soooo Azir Irelia Is Still Dominant
Why would it stop being dominant? The balance patch hasn't been released yet, and we still didn't get any new cards.
New Noxus Spell - Thorned Blade
I see this card very positive and I think it has its place as 1x or 2x.

Mecha’thun Rogue
You can play it in advance or play it and hero power after in your combo turn. Also you are correct about secret passage.
Mecha’thun Rogue
Cool! But Serrated Tooth should be played 3 turns in advance and left with 1 charge right?
How does Secret Passage work in this scenario? Your hand vanishes and doesn't get replaced because deck's empty right?
A shame I don't have Anka to try this lmao, must be hilarious
