I don't know how others feel but in 5-6 years that I play this game, this was probably close to the least fun Standard meta for me (maybe same as short Evolve Shaman meta). Maybe not a worst meta balance-wise, just that there is not that many viable decks overall.
At least there are other modes I could play little more, Wild and some Duels.
Well, maybe the waiting is more annoying now, knowing that Mercenaries is coming...
Considering the set is named Wailing Caverns, named after the World of Warcraft dungeon, that Murloc should be named Mutanus the Devourer if it exists in the set because that's the last boss!
Am I the only one that liked this expansion and miniset change at first but now thinks it's just...well...bad?
This is the second airing of it and to me it is very lackluster. Cards are not of a high standard to me so I dont see a point preordering, I never do but I am always hopeful that there is something worth my money. But the ministers are usually just there as a stopgap in the meta. Just to bolster some meta when it's out of control and not fix anything. It's like a bandaid on a cancerous growth. The puss has stopped leaking but the growth is still there.
There seems to be more activity in this comp than the last few. That's pretty good!
More feedback.
Fedrion
I know you've already submitted the card, but it's a VERY solid card and I could definitely see it making the finals.
Arkasaur
I think the card itself is fine. The synergy with Poisonous and the Battlecry is cute, but I feel like the card doesn't have much deliberacy. Everything on the card just feels like it just happened to be put together that way. As a card for the competition though, it'll likely get some good votes due to its interesting design.

I have already mentioned before about reducing the text size too much on the second version (in which, "Weapon" also should not be capitalized), which is why prompts like this are usually avoided in the first place.
That said, I do also have a problem with the first version which is that Discovering a card based on being Rare doesn't really narrow the pool in a meaningful way. While you may know what cards you'll be able to get and which ones you can't, there isn't really anything you can try to grab from the pool. I also don't like putting "from the past" on a Common or Rare card. Perhaps we might see it on an Epic one day, but as a Common or Rare, it very much takes away from the spectacle of Toki, Time Tinker.
And one last note, but that is definitely not a Kobold. It looks more like a humanoid raptor person.
KANSAS
I still stand by all the things I said about the card before, but I do think it's better as a 3/2.
The phrasing "Draw a Legendary from your deck" feels incomplete and could come off as deliberately skimping on the rules to fit the card into the competition. While I think it's kinda cool that it can draw non-minions now, there is the chronological problem in that Legendary non-minion cards did not exist during Blackrock Mountain. This aspect would only really become meaningful in The Boomsday Project (as Quests start in your hand anyway). Minion should also not be capitalized on the second version as the word is only capitalized when it's at the start of a sentence.
Wailor
I do agree with Link in that it should be a Warlock card. For basically the same reason. It would be weird for Time Rip and Roar of Time to exist in the same set (and at the same rarity no less).
Linkblade91
I'm going to go against the grain and say that I actually preferred the previous art over the current one, although this one does feel a lot more Hearthstone-y.
Nirast
I do kinda like Boastful Assassin. It's flavorful and it feels like a proper dual-class card. I do believe we will eventually see a Stealth + Taunt card in the game one day, although I will agree that the general weirdness of combining the two mechanics might rub people the wrong way.
Hibernating Rockbeast is pretty good.
DestroyerR
I did already mention this on Discord, but yeah, Showstopper exists and is also not very good.
Shaman is actually just one or two decent draw cards away from being a serious meta contender.
They have access to some pretty crazy tempo and recovery tools but simply no way to reliably draw into them.
We're talking about a class that has all the tools to build a functioning control deck with a flexible 3-card 26-damage damage burst, one of the best aggro finishers in the game, an incredibly solid murloc swarm package and an elemental tempo package that could probably hardcounter half the current meta if it had any consistency.
I don't think you can support a deck that relies on not randomly nuking their own win conditions whenever they are pushed into a corner. It's the same reason why Discardlock (the non-tempo versions) never worked out. Even if all your cards are pretty strong in theory, if you need to delete half of them to play the game you will never end up with a positive winrate.
I would argue that Lava Burst has no Overload downside, since most often you use it as a finisher.
Serpentshrine Portal represents current Hearthstone power level. Years ago it would be 3-mana - deal 3 damage...
Currently good cards have "2 card value" in them I think. Look at other powerful cards nowadays, for example - Runed Orb, Hand of A'dal, Venomous Scorpid ("hard removal" and a "card draw" in one card) and so on.
I mulligan'ed until I began with 2 hyenas and hung on until turn 8 after the frostmourne stage with explosion traps, frozen traps, bear traps. My hyenas froze after the stage, one died, but I placed more minions for health to buff the remaining one until it reached 20 hp and won. I found replacing some 1-2 cost cards with 2x 'wandering monster' and 2x 'bear traps' helped me. This deck works wonders still in 2021. Thank you!
I was going to say exactly this. Taunt druid is *almost* but not quite viable. It just needs a few key cards that will make it good. But it's sad that these days with druids its either "Ramp into GA, then spam 12/12 Clowns" or "spam gibbering and arbor up".
Decks like these make the game feel very polarizing for both the player and the opponent. Not something that is inherently healthy for a card game, where strategy is supposed to be the key factor for games.
nobody said it has to be control. Just a regular midrange deck would do fine, and Druid is more than capable of putting together a decent midrange package.
Hell, Taunt Druid is basically that, but it completely lacks any sort of useful card draw that would allow them to actually keep up the pressure and not just cave in to a single boardclear.
Right now druid have no (good) target nor (any) mass removal, which is vital for any type of control. That's why his game plan is "be strong on board, or lose"
I am pretty sure that they won't fool around with Shaman for the next few releases: they are perfectly aware that the class is not in the best position ever.

Shaman will get a new legendary murloc... and i'm sad. :( I want a competitive card draw for our green friend.

So it looks like we're at least getting a murloc, maybe a new Murloc Legendary, based on the size.

Showdown at Blackrock Mountain
My Nef opponent got: Dinosize, Libram of Hope, the "Deal 2 dmg and summon a random Demon" summoned him 'Green Rag '...
edit: Oh, nice. My Opp Rag snipes the Onyxia while all 6 whelps are on the Board. 2 games and I already hate the brawl -.-

It would be great to see more support to self-mill Warlock. The deck is quite fun but the win rate is a joke right now.

Arena with Shaman. Turn 4: Coin + Shadow Hunter Vol'jin, target Hog Rancher to swap it with my Scrapyard Colossus in hand. It was silenced right away but I still won a few turns later.
My other targets in hand were 2X Smug Senior and a Pen Flinger. So it was 25% chance of complete misplay but I was lucky this time. :)
