That doesn't change the fact that the audience for that mode is even more niche than for classic. It would also be the least accesable mode because cards you craft might not be playable in the next rotation. Duels is similar in that way, but the rotations are a lot slower and you starting deck doesn't matter as much.
Diamond Deathwing would be my pick for another classic if they'd ever make more. The golden animation is one of the most beautiful in game and he looks so menacing and threatening, especially compared to Deathwing the Destroyer. The art and pose itself would translate great imo to a diamond card, with him really sticking out and shooting flames all over.
Tournament with custom rules, what an absolute dream! It would be insanely good if on top of that ANYONE could create a room in a lobby with their custom tournament and people interested could go see which tournament has interesting rules to join in. That would shake things up A FUCKING LOT!! Streamers, social media groups, everywhere would get a lot more action to mobilize people to do crazy tournaments.
I don't know if I see them doing Adventures as these diamonds are tied to Collecting. Maybe they can put them as Heroic achievement in addition to the cardback?
Riot nerf this deck seriously, it's token generation is simple too high
The real problem is not just token generation. The deck simply ignores attack token mechanic. It might be not problem if they are only 1/1's but with Landmarks + cards that gives attack to tokens like Azir/Inspiring Marshal that free attacks became three 4/1's at worst which is 12 (+ 1 from sand warrior) total damage without an attack token which you have to block or spend at least 2 mana for a spell like Death Lotus. It is so much to spend for an attack that doesn't require an attack token and there is also more, They can swap allies with Irelia too with quick attack.
All of those cards are fair by itself, I really think like that. But together, they are just dumb.
I wish I could find exactly what Riot said when they were talking about nerfing TF/Fizz, but even for that deck, they waffled and claimed that it wasn't really that high on playrate or winrate and that it was the most skill intensive deck in the game, etc, etc.
"The Shuriman desert is vast."
But for real tho, I believe it was in Swim's Q&A with Riot Dovagedys.
That could be interesting, right now it’s not necessary since the effects from Da Undatakah and Dancing Swords cycle through the deck and Dirty Rat will pull out all their minions anyway, however if someone doesn’t have Da Undatakah then Hecklebot could be a good replacement for Da Undatakah and Dancing Swords. It’s not going to suck all the spells out of your opponent’s deck but at least you’ll suck all the minions out which will still win you the game.

In other words, they were claiming TF/Fizz wasn't really that bad. For TF/Fizz. The most powerful deck in the history of the game.
So, why are we surprised they don't think Azir/Irelia is that bad?
I am using this super high-roll Dragon Deathrattle Rogue deck to climb the wild legend ladder until I finally reach a 1000 Rogue wins (almost there now). The main reason I pilot this list is because the outcome (win or lose) is decided by turn 4/5 on average. It actually has a relatively decent winrate. Turns out cheating out Dragons with 30+ stats combined is pretty much unstoppable unless you run into immovable Reno Priest.
Despite being a writer, and general enthusiast for Hearthstone and Runeterra, I don't write any of the content you read on the site because I don't have the confidence or the advanced knowledge required to hold an expert opinion/position on these games.
Ah yes, the advanced knowledge. That's totally what I have, why would I ever write so many posts if I didn't.
Anyway, I'm tinkering with a variety of things around the site but I guess most of the time I spend goes towards writing articles and trying to keep certain guides up-to-date. I also play the same two games than link and dump 100x the salt he does on the Discord he mentioned. I would certainly be one of the most frequent salt thread users had I chosen that as my outlet :D

Also why remove classic for that?

I think Classic will have to change to a mode that replays certain formats. Maybe a weekly poll on official HS-forums to decide which

For Main sets:
GvG: Dr. Boom. Definitely a must.
TGT: I agree with Justicar Trueheart. However to be different I want Icehowl! Would look awesome.
If they do adventures then I want Arch-Thief Rafaam and Kel'Thuzad and Emperor Thaurissan

Good point! Likely a reason why she or any other random X generator won’t be Diamond.
Stalagg and Fuegen could still be potential candidates seeing as they make a specific minion when their deathrattles both have gone off.

All glory to you, my Emperor.
