When browsing cards in the Hearthstone card gallery, if you are on a page with one class icon clicked (so you are only seeing cards from one class), and you perform another search where you deselect the class icon, your new search will still only show you cards from the previous class you selected. Interestingly this only happens when using the Hearthstone card gallery, selecting the equivalent icons for the other card game galleries works normally. Thank you for looking into this!
I don't agree that minions should only ever deal 1 damage, but summoned minions (including non tokens) should only deal 1. Probably a programming nightmare to implement however.
OP, please include in your dream three more things:
- each hero gets +15hp
- each minion on the board deals 1 damage if it survives combat, thus making the max amount of damage taken be 13.
- add hero powers, spells, battlecries, minions, sideboard passive artifacts, etc that can increase the damage done (e.g.: tavern tier damage is doubled; or each surviving minion deals 2 damage instead of 1)
PS: spread the damage already, Blizzard. It's already a shitfest of randomness - at least allow us to have some fun even when losing.
I hit level 100 earlier this week; currently at 108. Pretty smooth sailing with the purchased pass.
I chose to go with the Tavern pass and NO pre-order to see how that felt as far as gold earnings, pack earnings, and overall collection speed. I think it definitely kept the gold flowing well, and I was able to maintain a 3000+ balance despite not doing so well in Duels over the last 6 weeks. My collection and pack earnings seemed fine, as well. Though it's important to mention I have a massive build up of dust since I've been playing so long so I have the freedom to dust cards and craft epic or legendary cards as needed to round out any deck I want to play.
As a few mentioned already, the standard meta is pretty stale. I'm sick of playing vs. paladins with cards that have above-curve power levels in every mana slot. I have been ranking up in wild this month using ConcernedMom's Ragnaros deck, though I've worked in 2x Thrive in the Shadows to improve the chances to get copies of Shadow Essence.
I used to visit the site several times a day to check HS news and forum posts, I posted something sometimes. But nowadays I don't play card games often, so I only visit the site every few days to check for important HS news and updates.
Seeing it written like that seems a lot less that the feeling I have when I play it. I feel we had this one a couple of months ago and it's been about a year!
Maybe it's just an issue with old players that played it every single time.
I check the site multiple times a day. I get most excited for Hearthstone related news, especially during card reveal season. I like to participate in discussions about cards and game mechanics, see if other folks have noticed bugs I've encountered, and occasionally get deck ideas.
I wish there was more deck discussion. I've posted some decks in the past, seeking suggestions, but generally don't get many replies. I try to offer supportive comments on decks other people post. It feels like there are too many decks posted, and not enough interest in discussing them.
I thoroughly enjoy site-specific content like word searches and scavenger hunts. I can't wait for another snowball fight, or something similar!
I've got one main idea and a backup idea this time that I'm looking for some thoughts on:
Heart of Y'Shaarj is my main idea I'm looking for feedback on - it makes it so you can scale all of your minions up through a game if you're able to hold them. It also can turn Y'Shaarj into a full hand refill of minions.
Toxic Twister is the backup idea, just proving a semi-chaotic flexible removal tool for shaman. Inspired by the Dark Shamans in Siege of Orgrimmar that used corrupted elemental spells.
I believe the first time I saw it brought in (which I think may have been WoW Arena? But I forget) the argument went something like "we don't want players to be able to easily game this system to be able to grief noobs, plus the rating is unlikely to change much over time so wouldn't give very good feedback to players" or something like that.
After a week I´ve jumped 20 lvls to lvl 120 (helps a lot that after lvl 100, XP required is lower again). I´m getting close to my second T2 hero too (<30 lvls).
Can´t wait for the miniset to shake up the meta, like some ppl here stated, I don´t feel like playing ranked these days, just quests and Brawl for a pack, that´s all.
0 mana spells are problematic, especially in mage (looking at you, APM mage in wild), so I would raise the cost to 1. At 1 mana +3 damage is ok. Good flavor and cool idea!
Cryostasis never made the cut so I'm not sure about this. It doesn't do well with Hunter's aggressive game plan. But with a wide board it's a lot of extra stats for little mana so it has potential. But the flavor is nice and I get the idea. I acutally preferred your other ideas, but Purging Flame should be at 2 man. Forest Fire is great and probably my favourite, nothing to add there..
I like it! Lifesteal instead of armour doesn't feel very Druid-ish but is right in line with the change of school and Big Malf's connection to Illidan. It doesn't feel too overpowered either, in my head I compare it with Cenarion Ward that also "heals" for 8. If I would change anything, it would be the name. It took me some time to figure out what brother you're reffering to and "Brothers in Arms" doesn't sound… aggressive enough.
I like the flavor and synergies with other cards, but I feel like the buffs could snowball out of control if you have more than one Divine Shield on board. So I would keep the idea but maybe tweak it a little in some direction.
That would be the challenge of balancing them. Your blanket statement of they'd be imbalanced could be said for anything like Pyramad giving +10 health for 1 mana. It's about striking a balance where fun can exist within parameters
Also buffs could be added. Blessing of Kings would work just fine as well as dare I say Sweeping Strikes as a final Warrior choice. It's just a matter of making sure the whole package doesn't exceed power budget.
Playing with no hero power otherwise is pretty detrimental. Maybe spells go off every fight but an ultimate for mage is Greater Arcane Missiles instead of flamestrike for example
I mean...Pyramad is a bad hero. Personally I'm glad BGs and constructed feel different. I don't want the two to feel the same. That's just my opinion...you're certainly entitled to have your own opinion.
Also Tickatus exists, if you want to discuss heroes that cast spells. I think that's fairly balanced and has spells that are very different than constructed.
allthehype- As the others have mentioned, you cannot place the cards in KFT and make direct references to spell schools. If I had to choose I would prefer the Renounce Darkness variant; I personally don't like either one, but it could be because my idea was to also make a mirror of RD...just not as blatant, frankly-speaking. We're both making 2-mana Shadow Paladin spells from KFT featuring Arthas; not saying it's on purpose, but it's gonna bug me on some level :/
In all honesty, it was your card that inspired me to try out the "Fall of Arthas" theme (one of my favorite pieces of lore). However, my intention was never to plagiarize or piggyback your idea and in my opinion the cards are different enough to stand on their own. But if you (and other voters/mods) consider my card too similar too yours I'd be happy to drop the idea. :)
As for the other feedback: It seems like the Renouce edition is more popular than the Lunacy edition. As for transforming the Holy spells into Shadow spells, that was something I also considered but dropped due to the small pool of options. But if I go with the Renounce idea this won't be as much of a problem compared with Lunacy. I'll probably go this way: Renounce edition into Shadow spells. Maybe change the mana cost to 1? And without the KFT watermark, of course.

They said multiple times that tavern brawl is on the back burner because the responsible dev team is preoccupied with Mercenaries and Book of heroes/mercenaries. Also, their new approach to the shop is generally well received. Cosmetics buyable with gold, buyable decks for good value, legendaries added to bundles and the standard packs are an upgrade to Phoenix packs. I’m sure there are a bunch of golden card collectors out there that are more then happy with the new bundles
Off of feedback that the flavor of Shield of Souls was not perfect, I decided to make a new card. I've seen a few "Paladin turn evil" cards, but what if I flipped that idea of its head like Renounce Darkness.
Now, a heel-face turn like this doesn't happen instantly. It takes a little bit of time and dedication before you are fully redeemed, hence why Illidan will still keep his demonic minions and interestingly-designed weapons. Illidan is also redeeming himself after all and not anyone else.
The cost reduction might seem strong at first, but Demon Hunter as a whole is not a class that can build decks to take advantage of this lasting effect in the same way that Mage can reliably build an all-spell deck for Deck of Lunacy.

Unless I'm missing something it seems the only information is the bad aim (virtually all cards give more stats than cost/ dubious corrupt statement)

Open Up Your Wallets - Two Golden Standard Pack Bundles Hit the Hearthstone Shop Today
So i was the type of guy who bought this.
50$, #3 golden legendaries (Akama, Soulciologist, and Lord Barov) So pretty good pulls overall.
I wonder if I was to disenchant legendaries and then buy the pack if I could have controlled which legendaries i got?
Idk even I don't want to spend another 25$, to much of a risk of getting bad legendaries.
