I'm guessing it's a bug, but it's because Scrying Sands is a weird card since it's you can use it without a target for the Predict. Idk man, I don't make the spaghetti code.
That makes sense because otherwise the spellshield could counter the Predict effect as well
It shouldn't regardless. You still get the Spiderling from Vile Feast or the +2 Health from Troll Chant. I think that since Scrying Sands is the first card that is a spell that you can use with or without a target, it works differently. This is all just speculation though.
Tried several iteration of a similar, healing heavy list. The problem is that you eventually run out of steam. Even if you heal for 60 during your game, unless you face a Hunter, you get pushed off the board by the infinite value of rogues, paladins, priests, and the burst of mage. I think Shaman needs around 4-5 busted cards to win, and they need more card draw/tutoring from their deck.

Zilean and Malphite are honestly not so bad. I've tried them out, and I didn't feel like "these are the worst champions I've ever played" but they are definitely not the strongest. They might in future metas but not now.
Zilean at least is viable as his deckbuilding cost is so low since he can level himself, and as a low-cost unit with pretty decent stats, he could be slotted in any Shurima deck and would do ok. His level up is impactful, just not game-winning. So, of course, there are probably better alternatives, but these are the things you sacrifice for versatility.
Malphite, on the other hand, has one of the highest deckbuilding costs in the game. Playing him as a finisher isn't bad, it's easily counterable and sometimes won't end the game on the spot, but it gets the job done. The issue is that he literally doesn't do anything when you don't level him up, making him NECESSARY to level up. So you have to build around him and summon 12+ Mana of Landmarks. You have to make a pretty subpar deck since most Landmarks don't really give you tempo, and you don't get enough slots to put it other good reactive cards. That's what I feel every time I play Yasuo Malphite. Your gameplan is your only gameplan, you can't win any other way. If you don't draw Landmarks/Yasuo/Malphite, you're screwed.
I added Nozdormu to my standard Control Priest list (changed Ysera for it).... No one wanted to play blitz hearthstone... So sad... Guess very few people actually want to have fun
Cool! I did not notice before such a thread existed where we could share our 1000 class wins progression.
I am closing in rapidly on completing Shaman as my 8th class over 1K wins. Rogue will follow soon after and Demon Hunter is obviously last which is going to be a real long grind to complete. I do not expect to finish it in 2021 even.
I am already dreading the moment when the eleventh class will be added or when 1500 wins hero portraits will be announced eventually.
Over the last few months I've been working on some Battlegrounds tribes and a Custom Core Set, all of which were extremely fun projects to make. Alongside these, I have been making a custom expansion which includes 135 cards and the possibility of a mini-set further down the line. The expansion is a little while off being ready (1-2 months as I have work commitments) but the cards are coming along nicely.
Now, I have a proposal for the community on here. Would you be interested in doing a small-scale card reveal season on the actual expansion thread when it's ready to go? I'd initially reveal the expansion with about 10-15 cards on the thread. If anyone is interested then I'd message them a card from the expansion and you can then post it on the thread when you're ready. You can just post the card or if you really want to, do a big reveal I don't mind! After everyone's cards have been revealed, I'll do a final card dump.
I thought this might be a fun experiment to try out and if there's enough interest then we can go ahead with it. Hope you like this idea.

Got my fourth golden Hero today :) Odd Paladin took me to Legend last month and Handbuff was a nice deck to climb to top 1.500 after that. This season, I've grinded Aggro Paladin in Standard until the nerfs hit, culminating in a 17 games winstreak. The final push was made with Wild Mech Paladin, the Handbuff prototype.
Like with the other 3 Heros before, I wasn't having much fun anymore once I got close. It was too much of a grind. Not sure what to do next, maybe Warrior or Demon Hunter. I've also come to like Standard Miracle Rogue, maybe that's my ticket to the Classic mode.
Just playing some slower contol-ish decks and ONLY queing into Tickatus Warlock for 15 games IN A ROW! Not only that, but in 6 out of those 15 matches my opponent got 2 "randomly" discovered Tickatusses from Demonic Studies... Such a FUN game when they mill your entire deck, AND go into their infinite value Lord Jaraxxus that almost nothing can outvalue/outlast... (Pretty sure only Neeru Fireblades imps can outlast that hero power...) How is any slow strategy supposed to compete against That?!?
Where are all these Paladins that people complain about constantly? i would LOVE to play against those Paladins constantly instead of Tickatus/Lord Jaraxxus Warlock for even MORE games in a row!!!
No Nozdormu match for me. Did anyone here actually thought this would work? I was highly suspicious, but I would have at least expected like one game in 15-20 tries or so. But no. Again this is proof, that without incentive people simply do not care. Conclusion is that events without incentive can be scrapped altogether (sad but true).
Looking at champ win rates is pointless most of the time, the only time it matters is when they are at the extremes (really low or really high)
since many people experiment with said champions.
For example although Fizz TF was having the highest win rate in the game a few months ago, TF wasn't in the top 5 (can't remember if he even was in the top 10) cause he was played in worse decks.
Zilean has a low deck building cost (like TF) so his win rate being low is understandable many decks can easily use him, so low performing ones are dragging his win rate down.
Malphite is hard to justify in a very aggressive meta of EZ/Draven and Irelia/Azir.
I wouldn't call Irelia Azir tier 0 (not sure if swim did, yet to watch the video) since it has hard counters: scar grounds, Fiora and Dragons.
You all forget about Oh My Yogg! which made discovering randomly a totally common thing. That may happen on your turn, but it happens randomly nevertheless without an explicit explanation on Oh My Yogg!.
How does the spell shield mechanic actually work?

How do I post an Image?
My apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but it seems adding an image to a post via imgur does not work anymore? Can anyone confirm?

Yeah, I think this sounds pretty fun.

He did call it a tier 0 deck, check the "current meta" segment of his video.

Someone explain to me why Scrying Sands bypass spellshield while Quicksand does not

It's weird that Demonheart & Bloodfury Potion are Shadow School
Bloodfury Potion should be Nature
Demonheart should be Fel
Demonfire should be Fire...or change this to Fel along with Hellfire
