I must confess that I include Nozdormu on every deck I play when I get to diamond 5.
I only have played with 2 players that are using the old Noz since the barrens launched.
And right now I am at 78/150 wins with him, and I want to get the 500 someday.
PD: I only play on mobile, so, at least for me, people who doesn't play him because you can't play well on mobile is just an excuse for no playing The Timeless at all
Two things: Blizzard has a problem they can't figure out right now. The Core set is amazing but it overly buffed cards that generate or discover other cards. The limited card pool of standard makes cards like Deck of Lunacy, Jandice Barov, First Day of School, Draconic Studies, ect. very powerful. As they said when they nerfed Jandice, they don't want to make poor 5-drops in the future just to deal with her. The First Day nerf slowed it down but the 1-drop pool is still really strong, so an extra minion feels like a buff. Paladin really shines when it has powerful 1 drops it can weave into it's turns to guarantee a body to buff. Core set causes some issues with a smaller discover pool. It's just growing pains we may have to deal with for a year until they discover a good solution.
Second Warlock has crazy control tools. Board wipes, big minions, enemy discard/burn, value hero and good reload. I think that'll make them king for a while until other classes catch up. I'm hoping the mini set and next set push another class up enough to contend. This is a think Blizzards plan over all. Just set up the buffs to swing classes to underused strategies in the miniset and next set. The buffs definitely did more than I thought, especially N'zoth which looked just weird but it set up Demon Hunter really well.
TLDR: I don't think the buffs/nerfs are bad just slow as they rely on future content and Core set causes discover/generation issues that are difficult to solve.
We'll see how it goes! I feel like last month the majority of responses were all "Why would I play that trash?!"
So I'm not optimistic (on ranked at least, maybe casual will be easier to find a Speedstone match). But last month I ended up playing several games against a friend where we built decks with Noz because I found no one throughout the day to fight. We had some of the "let me swap one card in this deck I already use" decks as well as a few where they were brand new. My buddy made a Bronze Dragonflight Paladin! He literally just made a Paladin deck, shoved in as many bronze dragons as he could, and a few dragon synergy cards. These were Wild decks too so he had plenty to choose from, like Dragon Consort to make his Noz cost 5 (if he played him next).
My favorite I made was a Malygos Warlock with Noz. If I could get him reduced with Frizz Kindleroost he was a 5 mana 8/8. If I couldn't get him reduced, I just wouldn't play him ever so that he was there to activate my 2x Nether Breath.
That is certainly true, thats why we made the reminder 😉 also this is only the second 15th of a month since the 'day dedication', so ppl might not yet be too used to it, but keep growing the Noz tribe. Every 15th!💪
you could see any expression however you want to see it, depends on your view of things, really
i barely use emotes ever, but i can't help it when my opponent makes some absolutely ridiculous misplay or terrible play in general i just say "well played"
but that's pretty much about it
While different people have different emotional responses to things, that doesn't mean the expression itself doesn't carry most of the blame when taken negatively.
In your case of using "well played" when the opponent makes a mistake, you are being sarcastic, which is always going to be viewed as antagonistic because sarcasm is always a form of mockery. You could instead use the "oops" emote, which may still annoy the opponent, but it might also be taken as a friendly way of pointing out the mistake.
Both emotes are pointing out an error, but they can be perceived very differently. So if the aim is to annoy the opponent, then go ahead and take the sarcastic option, but if you are just eager to point out the error, then try out the "oops" emote instead.
I like to emote well played when my opponent ropes and makes a very obvious pla
I love the idea of this and will likely take part. But I feel like I could spend the entire day queuing decks with Noz and maybe get one game where his effect activates
How do you actualy trigger discover on opponent's turn? Imo casting a random spell on opponent's turn doesn''t count, because these always have random targets, and I always interpreted discover as targeting in that case, and I do not think there's a card in game which say that you actualy discover, or do any other targeted effect, with possibility of triggering on opponent's turn.
Not trying to disregard any idea, but I think that's already 3rd custom card I saw which would allow to make choices on enemy turn, and people always say that it's ok, targets would be random, while there is no effect in game on which would this be biased as far as I know, but maybe I don't remember some interactions.
Also, sorry for inactivity, I am, like, in a very busy and stressful situation right now, so I'm just too tired to think about custom stuff, and that also kinda takes away motivation to provide feedback to others.
Doesn't look very cool to me either. What really confuses me is that Second Dinner is working on a Marvel game as well. Doesn't make much sense to give out the licenses to two competing studios, does it?
That's my thought. For the moment this game is only a physic board game but seeing that Second Dinner is working on a Marvel game makes me wonder if they are working on this game due to their experience with card games. Seeing the mechanic is a pretty "simple" pve game without any restriction such as balance or something like that. Makes lot of sense for me.
I wonder how Champion Skins will work. They already have a system for changing the appearance for cards (prismatic cards), so it could be tied to that... but since we can get prismatic cards without spending real money, maybe they'll just sell them for Riot Coins instead. We'll see.
But a programatical solution is valid too. I assumed the code we needed was simply one in which all the digits are the same (my program looks for CODE mod 1111111 = 0) and it turns out that's true. Just that there don't happen to be any solutions that are not 4444444.

Brilliant fucking idea nerfing Refreshing Spring water rather than Incanters Flow. Mage is still a highrolly shitty class currently. But I guess thats what a sorcerer is all about gambling and clownfiestas. Please release propper mage cards next time. No more random random random!

They should totally have a tavern brawl with Noz.
Make it win 1 or play 2 for the pack in order to cater for mobile players - or just a separate brawl if it's mobile.
