After sounds like the correct thing to do. Gives you the most possible cards for the catch-up pack and then the regular packs, most of the commons and maybe even rares would end up being dupes anyway, so any epics or legendaries you get from the catch-up won't really harm the fun openings from the 50 packs.
Anyone who watched Blizzcon: does his Battlecry remove the minions like The Amazing Reno, or does it remove them like Anachronos? I feel like it's the former, but I'm not 100% sure just from the wording. I also assume based on the wording that it hits locations and permanents as well as minions.
So I got the 50 free packs that were going around a while ago, but haven't gotten around to opening them. Should I do that before or after opening a carch-up pack?
Hmm, I checked my collection and for this year's sets I have slightly under 75% completion, but last year's sets are all over 75%. So these packs are a good way for people to catch up who have really large gaps in their collection, but don't help much if all you're missing is epics and legendaries.
These are strange packs in the sense that the more you open, the worse they get. I wonder if mass-opening these packs is better than opening them one-by-one: do they recalculate the completion percentage after each pack or after each opening?
This looks amazingly good! I love that it's neutral, too. Tons of value, and the board removal is not limited to just the turn you play it, but also the next one. Great, fun card, definitely crafting this if I don't unpack it!
So, to think deeper about this - all currently-active players, who have all Commons, Rares, many Epics and some Legendaries... should NOT OPEN the free Catch-Up packs, right?
Why? Because:
1. Right now they give only 5 cards each (? or nowhere near 50 cards for sure)... (so not much, and not much dust either),
2. In case you stop playing temporarily... You will have Catch-Up packs ready for the next time - when you come back to the game?

I am really excited to finally use Totodile in VGC. Well, actually Feraligatr, but I love Totodile and as someone who has no Pokemon Games from the GBA/DS/3Ds eras it will be the first time I get to use it in a mainline competitive supported Pokemon Game :)
I didn't read into the news much; are they bringing back older starter Pokémon? I must've missed that while searching for info about the DLC. That's always super awesome, although I wish they'd do that earlier in the game more often; for me, by the time I can get the extra starter, it's kinda too late to add him/her to my team.
Yes! Literally all of them. I hope they come Back earlier as in Isle of Armor's Bulbasaur/Squirtle just to at least use them for a little bit too. Getting them as a final gift is nice and everything but It does not really impact a playthrough at all.
Sure the card seems powerful but I don't really see the pay off card for playing a bunch of taunts, Battlepickaxe can be destroyed and the only game plan for the deck is buffed taunt minions? Guess we haven't seen the other legendary yet so there is still hope for some kind of win con
Now I wonder the interaction between Boomboss Tho'grun and the Barrel of Sludge tokens coz I'd imagine "blowing up" cards would be the same as destroy? I'm sure the devs will clarify at some point.

I'm assuming it's after each pack is opened it'll recalc.
And yeah, these are primarily a way to get people back into Hearthstone easily, which is great value.

I miss Paul Eiding's voice for Mephisto. Not that Steve Blum does a bad job, but it lacks that raspy, cackling menace from the original.

Hearthstone's New Badlands Catch-Up Packs Contain Up to 50 Cards, Everyone Gets One For Free
The catch-up packs are attached to specific expansions so when those sets rotate out, you will still get those cards from them.
I'm assuming catch-up packs will start to be added for each year's last expansion. This one is Badlands specific, so the last 5 sets are within it.
