And now we have rogue, whos classic set have been nerfed so many times I couldn't keep up. Well, now most of the cards are gone, the most significant of which is Eviscerate. I'll be honest that I wasn't at all happy to see eviscerate gone, but now thinking about it, if there was going to be a card to get HoF, it was always going to be either edwin, Shadowstep, or eviscerate. Happy to know that at least one of those survived to the core set.
So where do we go from here? I'm afraid that for the most part rogue decks are going to have a mountain to climb. Because their cards are no longer efficient at removal, there's no place for a generic 'midrange' deck coming out from rogue but instead we look towards familiar archetypes. Secret rogue would likely be at the forefront of things, due to the very powerful Shadowjeweler Hanar, and with most of the secrets being removed from classic, its going to be shorter list of getting what you want. No more Redemption though, so that's annoying, but not necessarily bad as for every discover of redemption there's also Eye for an Eye. Aggro stealth rogue will likely make it, most of their core is still here, but losing eviscerate and Southsea Deckhand means they have to start looking for more burst damage elsewhere. A good chance we start seeing new Alex in this deck with shadowstep.
Here's a slight, but not impossible, possibility. The return of token rogue. There's no longer any Questing Adventurer or edwin, and without burst damage miracle rogue is a cutlass short from returning, but with many cheap spells still at its disposal as well as Violet Teacher, we may be seeing something from the past make a comeback.
I've noticed people compare this to Lightsteed a lot. One benefit this does have over Lightsteed is that the Holy spells don't need to be limited to healing, and also this card will not benefit the enemy by giving them bonus heal, a problem that exists between Lightsteed and Circle of Healing. The randomness of the effect does lower this card's effectiveness though. Overall, I don't think this card will see a lot of play.
One of the more exciting pack fillers for me. Probably won't end up seeing play as it makes no instant impact but the potential of trading twice in one turn is there, and I like it.
if you still have problems, tell me I think I figured out a guaranteed (semi guaranteed, juggle rng still fucks you over) win strategy and I can break it down.
I finally beat it by getting lucky with a poisonous Knife Juggler and Sabotages. Trying to brute force through them did not work. Still ended with 2 HP.
i did that aswell + sabotages for first 2 and baldeflurry for another. but even wiht juggler i nearly ahd pretyt early but then it failed cause the pings went to the boss his face (despite him having no hp) and lost to it.

The emperor of Shurima does not disappoint, If I have one negative thing to say is that after seeing his effect the 5 mana landmark seems even more useless.
Seriously. Why the fuck do the Shadows have like 15 health?! Why do you have Frenzied Felwings against a boss you can't damage? What the fuck were they doing?
some shadows have like 15hp, while some others are lower(he has more then 5 shadows and not all have the same amoutn of hp).
Still dont get what where thinking. Ive had 6dmg baldeflurry + 2 from hero power and 4 from the 2 mana spell twice and they still lived.
But atleast i finnaly got it, and never have go there again.
actually I find that one very interesting. It always plays out the same and you have to figure out the best way to use your ressources (saving 2x Sabotage for the last two asssassins is key).
It's all about card management and knowing what you need when (playing the Wyrm on turn 1 is a mistake for instance).
The only thing that doesn't work is the KNife Juggler BS because you can't guarantee he'll hit the shadow annd not the hero, which is BS. Other than that it's just trial and error until you figured out the winnning strategy. Probably the only competently designed fight in this entire chapter.
yes I finally did it, but what I had to go through is pretty much unacceptable.
NOt even the Amazing Reno fight from Galakrond'S Awakening had this much uncontrollable variables. I genuinely don't understand how anyone could design that fight and think "yeah, this is fine". The only explanation I have is that they got so lucky on their first try they just assumed this would be the average.
the last boss is even worse imo, can have rng go in your favour wiht draws and how dumb ai plays for entire fight and then in end when got evrything aviable still loose because RNG
took me almost 20 tries in total to beat and more then rest of adventure combined.
I seriously dont know what where thinking with some of the fights and the decks you get. theyre so rng reliant /relyong on dumb AI wit how terrible your decks are most often.
New Druid Spell - Innervate
Looking forward to how abusive this will be along side Lightning Bloom with an "unnerfing"... should that happen

how does that happen? For me she always prep Eviscerates on turn 1
New Druid Spell - Nourish
Staple in most Druid builds, I hope it gets to see some play with the "unnerfing"
New Warlock Spell - Imp Swarm (Rank 1)
I would've picked this in arena for sure. It's an ok two drop on curve, and better top deck later in the game than most 2-cost cards.
Nourish

New Druid Spell - Force of Nature
Isn't this supposed to have a fix listed? Something like, charge and die at the end of the turn?

Within the past few months, we've gone from one terrible Valeera skin to that plus three great ones!
I love having options, but that's enough of her. Let's get more skins of new heroes for a while.
(Yes, yes, Book of Heroes is going to be tied to skins of the original heroes, I get it. But the reward track doesn't need to do the same.)
P.S. Saving the packs until March 23!

Funny Deck Ideas - New Set
Okay here we go with the brews now that all the cards have been released.
We'll feature each new champion once
They Who Nasus
It's your typical kalista shell, while it's true Nasus doesn't have overwhelm he does have spellshield, which is better with atrocity
Also opens you up to use the new shirima deny card to ensure your atrocity hits
Sand monkeys
Plunder triggers for days, pretty easy to play gangplank leveled
The taskmaster will up the dmg of all summoned units in both regions
Frosty Leblanc
How do you guarantee strike value, you play frostbites and draw leblanc off hawk so it doesn't die to TF or shot
everyone in this forum loves midrange frostbite so here ya go
hashtag me too
want to know how you do 35 dmg you run P and Z so you're removing but also punching with VI
There's also keyword synergy where you give Vi overwhelm or elusive or something funny like that
Stunned And marked for death
The big problem with Kindred is that if you mark a unit for death, they will just attack with it to guarantee value
How do you stop that value, you stun, also allows you to slay and the cycle continues
Landmarks for days
The synergy here is undeniable getting double 8/8's
How you survive till you win well that's up to you
sturdy blades custom made
Will elites finally be top tier, probably with this winning duo
The deck was already pretty close to being playable this will push it the rest of the way
Overwhelming Power
Don't lie you didn't even know that was a vulnerable card that also frostbit
Well that's how you get renekton value easy peasy
That's all the ideas I have right now let me know what you guys think
New Shurima Champion - Azir
The emperor of Shurima does not disappoint, If I have one negative thing to say is that after seeing his effect the 5 mana landmark seems even more useless.

New Shurima Spell - Rite of Negation
So if I understand correctly this going to get rid of any skill, slow, and fast spell that was cast before it, very powerful indeed.
New Shurima Spell - Emperor's Divide
I can see this being run as one of. If you get hit by a board whip like the ruination this could by your plan B.
