  • Are we going to get the quest log filled again when the new reward track hits?

    If so: I'm going to complete every quest I have before tomorrow;

If not: I'd keep the quests in order to gain the experience in the new track.

Does anyone know how it is going to work?

    • Highly unlikely, Team 5 has never been generous about bonus XP

    • I want to know this too.

I guess there is no refill for weekly Quests. Because one of my weekly quest is to play 3 legendary minions from FitB.

But for Daily Quest, it would be good to know.

  • Why there is still missing release date?

  • I can't believe Caravans aren't listed in the Quick Info section as an exciting new kind of card.

    Oh, wait, yes I can.

  • Interestingly enough, spell schools are not heavily supported in the expansion that introduces them. Some spell schools have no supporting cards at all.

    Arcane - Nothing

    Fire - Nothing

    Frost - Rimetongue

Nature - Toad of the Wilds, Guff Runetotem, Bru'kan

Holy - Knight of Anointment, Cariel Roame, Veteran Warmedic, Spirit Healer

    Shadow - Tamsin Roame

    Fel - Nothing

I think that the concept of spell schools opens up cool design space, but as of right now I'm not seeing enough of it to warrant it as much of a deck strategy. A feature, not a core concept. Hopefully future expansions will lend more support to this idea.

    • They said they will had more spell school synergies in the mini set. So be patient ! Also, it is a permanent change so they will be able to add some synergy along along the game life. I guess they are most likely to add a little each expansion and focus on big expansion interaction like murlocs were they added a tons of cards to make sure it is viable

    • For Nature and Holy at least, there's definitely a need to build around the concept if you want to take advantage of the payoffs.

Arguably, Frost and Freeze are so intertwined that they form a strategy even though it's not explicitly tied together by the school concept.

Tamsin Roame is more of a Shadow package than a build-around, for sure.

They have stated that they wanted to start it off a bit slowly and then expand on it with the mini-set and further expansions.

  • With all cards revealed we can see which archetypes are forced:

DH - deathrattle - new archetype, doesn't look strong, but DH can transform everything into cancer

Druid - taunt - good that Hadronox isn't in standard, can be painful to fight against, especially with Greybough

Hunter - beast - will beast hunter be good enough? Dunno, he gets some draw mechanics but looks like he will end with aggro/midrange deck. Also I smell OTK deck with Tavish

Mage - hero power - last time played in Rastakhan's Rumble, because legendary. Now it gets even better legendary and more HP support, so definitely will see play

Paladin - secret - secret paladin was a thing because of Mysterious Challenger and good secrets. Will new cards be enough to bring back him form ashes? We will see

Priest - spell/heal - dunno, more healing and synergy is good, but most new spells looks underwhelming

Rogue - weapon/poison - will be cancer for sure, at least there is no Kingsbane in standard, ooze in every deck

Shaman - murloc - new murlocs looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure they will be a thing without Underbelly Angler. Murlocs can be hyperaggro but they will burn your hand pretty fast and shaman doesn't have good draws or hand refills.

Warlock - burn - combo breaker and a cancer

Warrior - taunt/frenzy - taunt can be pretty solid, but I'm not sure with frenzy

    • "Forced" is so overused these days. These aren't so much "forced" archetypes as just giving archetypes enough support so they aren't dead-on-arrival.

      • Ikr, I really don't understand why community keeps using it.

Isn't it how expansions themed ? For example, "This time; Freeze for Mage, Taunt for Warrior, Dragons for Hunter etc."

They use "Force" instead of "Theme". Noone is forcing anyone to play anything. There is Wild if you insist.

  • I hope the reveals start this week. I'm getting antsy waiting.

    • Tomorrow, finally, the reveal season will be started!!

      Friendly
  • I still want more time for Darkmoon Faire :(

    • Me too! Many achievements still far from being completed

      • You can complete them later, only XP will be removed.

        • Lol i know, but it lose interest to make them only for those useless achivement points
