A comparable tempo and value 2/3 2 drop... I think it will see play.

It's the new Dwarven Sharpshooter  - a solid 1/3 1 drop for nearly all decks.

Would you consider -1 ambassador, -1 rite of calling, +2 sivir? Taliyah isn't so strong you need to guarantee her so hard, and she does very little to keep you alive.

Yes I identified as such in description... But it is literally free... Was more of an experiment rather than real deck.

Mostly as fodder for naturalist as well, since popping preservarium wouldn't be worth it as it gives card advantage

I did try your deathrattle hunter deck earlier, and it felt a lot more competitive for ladder!  I use handbuff beast hunter as a competitive hunter deck and hakkar is mostly for the fun potential.  That’s a good idea, since you already have play dead and maybe you can use blastenheimer and boomzooka to get hakkar out earlier?  Wyrmest purifier would conflict with that so you might have to rely on sphere.  Definitely a lot of interesting hakkar potential in that direction too!  I’m looking forward to see what myou come up with.

I actually opened 2 maiev shadowsong as a weird 0 mana hero card. They took the place of actual epics in my packs. Not actually in the collection though. Weird Maiev Card

The beauty of this card is that it's a Choose One card in disguise.

I've already used it to wreck some combos, and when I don't need it for that, I use it to replay my own Corrupted cards for Y'sharrj value. It never feels like a dead card in my hand.

Yeah in my experience it does do pretty abysmally against those first decks as I mentioned before.  Those 3 are all tier 1 decks and this deck feels like tier 4, I started out with a non highlander version but switched to this version later because of how you can discover Zephrys and Reno consistently due to the limited minion pool.  Maybe there is a way to build it non highlander that is better.  

Another idea I am considering that might be more competitive for a nonhighlander version is going for a heavier boardbased secrets and minions package instead of the control spells which seem kind of weak without Professor Slate so that you can have board tempo more easily, and then still having discover cards for the Hakkar combo.  I might try to test this idea today and see if the board based cards can help you survive longer.  It can also have 2 coldlight oracles to draw through their deck faster

Azir is just insane like... he is so easy to level up he is so dangerous and the more I think about Azir's generals and soldiers theme I think we don't need Hecarim at all in this deck. Yes, he levels up all the time and if he does so he is really strong... but why not replace at least 1 Hecarim with Maokai so that we got an alternative wincondition just in case...

Never been a fan of Miracle Priest, but it's still a good activator for Spellburst, Devout Pupil, Brittlebone Destroyer, Nazmani Bloodweaver, etc.

(And yes, we're going to start seeing a lot more Devout Pupil in Priest, for sure.)
