Four classes have Charge minion in Core set, all of those minions are Legendary (Hunter, Demon Hunter, Warrior and Shaman). I don't see how this is Demon Hunter only keyword now.
Most buffs are better when some of the minions can attack, if not, then you buff their health so they are difficult to be removed. That's why I'm not sold on this card.
So assuming you get permanent +2 spell damage. The only thing you can conceivably do with this would be Combustion and Shooting Star, while there are only 2 burn spells in standard, Apexis Blast and Fireball. Both of which are too expensive to justify playing a minion with +2 spell damage.
Unless Barrens come out with some of the most ridiculous cheap spell for mage, can't say Ive much hope for this card.
The one area where Warsong is better than Broom is if you are making an ETC combo. Not sure how that looks in Standard now with Bloodsworn about to rotate, but in Wild with an Emperor turn for set up... Could be good!
In Standard now your best bet will be to stick ETC a turn, then use Warsong, Faceless to copy, 2x Tinyfins, and some other cheap minions. Maybe even Broom to give Warsong rush too!
Could use Maiev to set it up, protect ETC for a few turns...
cackling. i'm sure it's bad but i'm running this in every deck. and 7 8/8 isn't THAT bad; maybe even playable without the effect??? ur at least not being punished for trying this.
Just a great job OoC. I looked through all the cards myself and I missed a ton of these changes.
Generally I think these are fantastic changes with the exceptions of Holy Light and Lightspawn. Neither change makes the card more playable, and it seems like both could have been retired for something better. Not that all these cards are great, and they're keeping River Crocolisk for goodness sake, but it seems a miss to have given those cards attention and come up with that. But, to stay positive, they did a great job on the other 49.
You might be thinking of their comment about Dragon aspects. Both versions of the Dragons are in Wild because they are considered different cards. If a card's name hasn't changed, I would not expect to see the old version anywhere but Classic mode (and even then, it would be in its original launch form).
Reducing your deck size by 2 is great in theory when you're building it, but removing two random cards from your deck in the middle of a match is a downside. You're equally likely to discard something you want rather than something you don't want.
NO
Statistcly its AN UPSIDE. NOT DOWNSIDE
unless go to fatigue it does NOT MATTER AT ALL if discard them; pretened theyre on bottom of the deck instead. But the 2less cards gave you better chance to draw anything else in your deck so upside always has been.
My understanding is, for cards that got changed, the changed version is the only thing that's available in standard or wild, and the original version is available in classic.
If they wanted both versions to be available, they'd give a new name to the new card and leave the old card in wild, the way there's Deathwing in Classic and Wild, and Deathwing the Destroyer in Core.
AIUI, if you don't have it in your collection, you can use it for free in all modes (classic, standard, wild) as long as it's in core, and if it leaves core you'd have to craft it to play it in wild or classic. Not 100% sure about that, though--you might have to own it to use it in classic?
Also i love seeing Bluegill Warrior and Stonetusk Boar FINALLY getting "the axe" i'm so happy to see those sometimes game breaking cheap Charge minions finally gone. (I hope these changes are also to the legacy versions, not just the core set versions. It would be horrible to still have the Charge versions of those cards around in wild.)
Ethereal Conjurer was a decent card when it came out, saw a fair amount of play. It's very powerful now, especially in a meta with far less card generation.
Mana Tide Totem is already one of the most powerful totems in the game, it doesn't need a buff.
Equality was busted at 2 and saw a little play at 4, 3 is a great power level for it.
Tracking got buffed, not nerfed. Not sure what you're talking about.
I don't think the 3-damage Shadowform is around anymore.
Nowadyas Etehreal is pure trash, no is gonna play him as actual good card. 5mana for a unedrtsated minion to get 1 single spell, its TRASH TIER. and Loe was overall a MUCH MUCH MUCH lower power level of the game then now. and for conjurer its ow hp 5drop that doesnt effetc board aslo when mage s loosing doomsayer, Nova and blizzard.
Equality was fine at 2
Trackign iis a NERF unelss go to fatigue, you have less chance to draw your remaining cards. the 2discards cards where alway statiscly a UPSIDE.
Mana tie is one of mowt powerfull largly BECAUSE most totems are very weak.. and 4 hp wouldnt break a thing on mana tide, its more ofthen then not just 3mana draw 1 card which is really weak. 4 hp would give it actual decent chance at surviving for a turn.
AMAZING rework! Old Onyxias trouble was that her board was too easy to clear, and this fixes it. Also: if your opponent doesn't clear Onyxia the Broodmother, and she spawns tokens at the end of your opponents turn, will those tokens be able to attack on your turn? IF so then that's potentially 16 FACE damage. I'm REALLY glad that this releases AFTER Unseal the Vault rotates, that would have been a nightmare to face.
They should be able to attack yes, because they were summoned on your opponent's turn. It's one of the few instances where the difference between 'end of each turn' and 'start of each turn' matters.

New Paladin Spell - Pursuit of Justice

New Warlock Hero - Lord Jaraxxus
Well, that's disappointing. Hope he gets used, at least!
New Paladin Spell - Pursuit of Justice
I don't think it's that good but yeah, I think the same with all this cards.
Seeing somebody else doing the same made me laugh haha
New Mage Minion - Aegwynn, the Guardian
No more apprentice, no more Arcane Missiles, no more Frostbolt, no more Pyroblast. Not even Arcane Explosion, the one card that might have benefited immensely by spell damage.
And then this card gets printed.
So assuming you get permanent +2 spell damage. The only thing you can conceivably do with this would be Combustion and Shooting Star, while there are only 2 burn spells in standard, Apexis Blast and Fireball. Both of which are too expensive to justify playing a minion with +2 spell damage.

New Paladin Spell - Reckoning
Didn't play Wow so I didn't know this, thanks for the trivia tip!

New Warrior Minion - Warsong Commander
Should be 3/3 or 2/4 atleast(so could maybe sometimes survive a turn at all).
Shaw is a legendary but still has same effetc basicly and DOUBLE the stats for 1more.
All 51 Returning Cards That Received Buffs and Changes in Hearthstone's New Core Set
Ah, thanks.
RIP Anyfin pally I guess. I guess I'm also glad the Classic format will exist to let me have an upgraded 3 damage Shadowform.
New Druid Minion - Cenarius
Very likly they wont. still way to expensive for a token deck, and the summon effect is still really weak
New Warlock Hero - Lord Jaraxxus
HP is same
Hp is not 15 anymore else would say it as is a HERO CARD now, 15 hp was because he was a 15hp minion.
New Neutral Minion - Nozdormu the Eternal
it isnt the worst thing ever.
But you are defenitly being punished for this.
a 7mana 8/8 no effect is a TERRIBLE CARD

Not usable in standard, but I would love some blitz tournaments. I am just worried you can abuse your own animations to cut down the opponent's time.

Pretty much the discord reaction to this

Warsong Commander LIVES and it's decent now! (Well as long as Animated Broomstick is 1 mana, it will still outshine Warsong Commander. But hey it's a step in the right direction!)

Not sure what "stronk" is(Strong + Keep in mulligan?), but I think it describes the new Tracking perfectly. :)

Maybe more like 11 more after 4 Ashes cards went into Core, but yeah... a little more than other classes.
