So here's a thing: I am pretty sure I've owned this Thrall cardback before, as there is only one or two cardbacks that I don't own since I started and that was for 2 months in the middle of 2016. And yet it shows up in the shop and says I don't own it. So what's going on here?
One thing not mentioned here but also not specific to hearthstone was the 30th anniversary carbot animation. Really well done and I love the transitions between the games. Even Malthael got his own hearthstone card!
Honestly, I've been thinking a lot about it and I think the solution is to change Hush to be a more restricted card instead of a staple in Targon decks. Even though Deny is annoying, I'd honestly rather Deny be overplayed than Hush, it's just such a frustrating card and shouldn't be a generically good card. My suggestion is to change it to:
"5 Mana Burst Speed
Silence a unit this round. If you summoned a Soraka this game, this costs 3 less."
This way, Hush would be a powerful card to push the TK/Soraka archetype while not being a generically good card. Although TK/Soraka is kind of an annoying deck too, by limiting the card to that one deck it reduces the frequency with which you face it. Plus, it would make TK/Soraka feel more distinct and powerful and make Soraka/Braum and Soraka/Vlad a little less memey. I know that this would totally kill the card in constructed, but honestly I think that's preferable to Hush being played.
Why is Savjz STILL blacklisted from these kinds of events? I thought they worked all that out.
Somewhere around a week ago I heard him saying on his stream that Blizz still does not like him criticizing the game and his wife also has her own beef with Blizz, so these could be the reasons.
I (and many other old players who don't really care for Wild/Classic) now have the option to dust massive amounts of classic cards.
Even just dusting all the golden basic cards will net you nearly 9 legendaries worth of dust! I plan on keeping the rest because I do play Wild, and want to check out the Classic mode, but even just those golden basic cards will amount to some good savings. I could save the dust to get some of the new cards I miss or maybe use it as an investment towards older cards I always wanted but never opened.
This is getting off topic now, but I'd like to talk about dusting policy if somebody's interested. As far as I know, classic cards will still be available in the new Classic Mode and in Wild, so dusting them is possible but should be considered wisely in case you need them for one or both of those modes.
I'm not so sure about Basic cards though. Are you sure it will be possible to dust them? I somehow remember having read that it isn't. If you're right, that's really great news!
I just attacked with a total of 30 overwhelm damage 7 elusive damage and 3 normal damage into an ApheliosLee Sin deck (against this deck) with a a board full of chumbblockers with 1 burn damage in hand and a Might to go...
Well he answered... tripple Hush, survived with 2(effectively 1 hp) into a 14 damage lee sin kick on the following turn to finish the game...
Thanks for the comment! I would cut Rockbear, but its the only consistent landmark to copy with Taliyah by turn 5. While I agree Salvage is quite good in most decks, I don't think it's necessary here. Preservarium and Unraveled Earth are good enough for reliable card draw. TF is mostly here to supplment the deck by having an amazing play effect and occasionally winning the game when he levels.
Those are actually some valid points that I hadn't considered. It does have its own case usage and there is strength in simply being more of a good thing that Freljord wants to have. I take back my full negativity, I think Avalanche will still be the go to for sure but this might see use as a supplementary removal.
Honestly, this card feels like it should be compared to something like Kindly Tavernkeeper as well, a really good open attack punisher. If they open attack, you can play this and immediately heal back 4, and now your opponent has to play into it; otherwise, they'll burn their Mana and if they do, it has to be above 2 Health or it dies. Of course, the downside is that you can't use spell mana is a stark difference, and I think that this is the reason why it's worse than Avalanche still. Nevertheless, even if it isn't better than AvalanceBADCARDNAME, it is still a valid option since it can hit face for 2 as well, and you could just run both of them, so you'll have more removal options. You'd probably just run 2 of Avalanche and 2 of Blighted Ravine. Now, you punish both open attack and open development plays.
I just don't understand why equality gets nerfed from 2 to 4 mana when used in aggro paladin screwing any chance of control paladin(unless you play braindead libram), but warlock gets plague of flames.
I wouldn't say warlock is the priest of old right now. Unlike priest, warlock has a good non-grindy deck (zoo warlock is the best warlock deck right now). So it's not a one-archetype-pony.
The deck does feel similar to facing priest decks though, I'll give you that. It's a slow, unfun grind where they're just trying to not die. Difference is that warlock has an active win condition in the form of Tickatus, something that priest (still) doesn't have.
Luckily the deck is bad so you don't see it that often currently. Here's to hoping it'll fade away completely come next expansion.
The rarity of a card doesn't say anything about the powerlevel of the card, in fact Sharpsight is the best buff in the game right now, Screeching Dragon was always a powerhouse since it's release, Shen got stat buffs and nopify is just more generic goodstuff that the deck needs to protect it's units.
When it comes to discard aggro you can't ignore that they became strong with the addition of of new tools, once again like for example Poro Cannon.
While I agree that all quest should be able to be reroll, I wonder if there's gonna be any use for the 4th slot in the weekly quest. So far, Legendary quests always placed in the daily one.

They are canceling hundreds of cards that were supposed to be permanent…I'm just saying it's kind of stupid that these articles keep saying it's a boon to the wallets of veteran players when that is clearly not the case.
If I understand you right, ...
So, to the extent that you feel this is unfair to veteran players, and that some refund is due for anyone who spent money on the Classic set
You do not understand me right. In fact, you just put a very long wall of text into my mouth. Perhaps you think I share H0lySatan's opinions. I do not, and it would save everyone a lot of time if you would avoid conflating the opinions of different people you disagree with.
I never said it's unfair to veteran players. I said it's not a boon to veteran players, as it is so often being described in articles around the net. There's a huge difference between "unfair" (your words) and "not really a financial benefit" (my words).
And I certainly never said a refund was due to anyone. I merely pointed out that certain assets -- assets that were once believed to have ongoing value in Standard -- no longer hold value. That's not a sunk-cost fallacy. That's the truth, whether you paid for the cards or got them from Brawls. But I'm not asking for anything back because (as I very clearly stated) I recognize that this is a necessary evil of letting the game move forward from the mire of evergreen nonsense. And, of course, it's true that soon-to-be Legacy cards seem to decrease in value every year anyway as expansions become more powerful. I grant all of that, but it's still worth mentioning as an unfortunate side effect.
So once again, for those who think they know my opinion better than I do: CORE SET GOOD, but we don't need to pretend veteran players are coming out ahead. No compensation asked or expected. No claims that Blizzard is an evil empire out to get me. Just stop saying that Core makes the game cheaper for long-term players who were never again going to need to spend additional money on Classic cards anyway.
The best Battlegrounds cosmetic I can imagine is a new Barkeep! Replace Bob with... Stelina? Annoy-o-Tron? Gruul!?
That'd be super fun. I'd love to have Stelina sass my play. "Oh, I wouldn't have done that..." "If you'd peeked at his board, you would've won!" "Next time you'll be as successful as I am!"
I think that people are kind of misevaluating this card. It’s definitely worse when you play it against the opponent when they have the Attack Token, but if you play it on a defending turn it’s like setting up a Burst speed Avalanche. Also, if the opponent open attacks then this is a better response than Avalanche because it prevents the opponent from developing more. Given that its effect is better than Avalanche in at least half of the rounds of the game, the main weakness that this has is using unit Mana, which is compensated for by healing your Nexus 2 and damaging the enemy Nexus (activating Plunder). Overall, I expect this to be about as good as Avalanche if not better.
If your opponent has lethal on board, you are perfectly capable of ending the game yourself.
If your opponent emotes sarcastically or too much, there's a Squelch command.
You don't actually know if the opponent is roping to annoy you or to legitimately think. Either way, it's not that much time, so you can put Nozdormu in every deck or get over it.
If you are triggered by which cards your opponent hovers over (seriously?), it's definitely your problem, not theirs.
The only real BM in Hearthstone is people who send a friend request just to swear at you for playing a certain card, deck, archetype or class.
Saying that sarcastic emoting is not BM because you can just squelch is like saying flooding is not a natural disaster because it can be prevented. Bad manners are still bad manners, regardless of prevention.
Also, you just defied your own logic there, since you can just deny friend requests.
While you're entirely correct in that it isn't as simple as people made it seem, it is still true that her voice was entirely a 360 from the LoL voice and the design was different as well. For me the annoyance wasn't the matter of her fitting her land of heritage so much as fitting the style which they had already established for the character.

I guess so. Because if this article didn't mention it, I wouldn't even know we're talking about someone from the middle east.
