Its appearance on the official roapmap doesn't count as confirmation? If you just want confirmation of the pricing, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. They are aware that the Races mini-expansion pricing was very well-received.
I'm already using it in two of mine, and it's fantastic.
At the very least, it's a strong tech against Paladin for decks that struggle in that match-up. When you're not against Paladin, you can still use it to cheat out your own big boys or even just to replay a good Battlecry.
I love this! Wonderful Easter egg, and I see no problem with Vanessa having some connections to this Black Flame. There's nothing in lore to contradict it, she was missing in action for years before her character popped up again (aka her death retconned), so there's plenty of room to work in a connection here.
I love this kind of posts and this one is pretty well constructed, well done!
I think that you are right with almost everything; as you said before, I think the 10 mercenaries will be released in this expansion.
I will focus on the Priest mercenary because I love to play Priest. I'm fine with a Draenei being the mercenary for Priest because it's a wonderful race and I've always loved how Draneis look. The only problem that I have here is that the devs said that they wanted to give Priest the Shadow archetype in the core set and in this expansion and the future ones.
I don't understand too much about Wow, but judging every Draenei card released in HS, I think that they are more Holy-related than Shadow-related, so the Priest mercenary would be a Holy Draenei, and it makes me a little bit sad because I want them to focus on the Shadow archetype they said they would implement in Priest and I think that a legendary for this archetype would be needed.
Do you think that there is a possibility of a Shadow-related Draenei Priest legendary? Or do you think that if Dranei is the mercenary race chosen for Priest, he/she will be 100% related to Holy?
Definitely seems like a contender for N'zoth style decks but the front half is the one you want back. The taunt side isn't aweful but still clutters the rez pool a bit.
What beast are you playing that you would rather see resurrected than a 6/7 taunt? Usually I'm already content to get Circus Amalgam back.
21st February update: Duwin's WILD Big Beast Hunter, ft. King Krush and Beastmaster Leoroxx!
King Krush? Charged Devilsaurs that charge face? Yes please! Another great deck from Duwin (https://twitter.com/DuwinHS). If your big beasts get neutralised, then Deathstalker Rexxar can help you to stablise.
It's kinda weird how this is a post specifically about the power level of these cards, yet it doesn't mention the changes to Laughing Sister and Ysera Awakens. I would assume they didn't know about the changes outside of Dream, but then they mention that Nightmare is a free Blessing of Kings, implying they know it is now +4/+4. This should really be added to the post in the same place they clarified the change to Dream.
If you thought that was heartbreaking, wait until you see Lucian and Senna in Legends of Runeterra. You have to literally kill one of them in front of the other, and they become more powerful because of their grief and rage from seeing the love of their life killed. Lucian levels up instantly when he sees Senna die, screaming in anguish as it shows an animation of a couple's love being ripped apart. Of course, LoR (and League of Legends) in general is a mix of emotions, so it's hard to judge by Hearthstone's standards, but it fits the subject.
I know there's not a complete list. I mean what we know so far, the same as with the new cards.
The fact it's a big reveal season with lots of releases and card changes is exactly why it would be really useful to have all the Core-related stuff in one place. I have been reading the news posts, but it's been kinda confusing seeing all these cards and rumoured changes, and oftentimes not knowing what is real vs speculation, or what is Barrens vs Core (especially confusing because of the different watermarks being used as placeholders).
I know that things are confusing during early reveals anyway, and a big load of new stuff coming all at once due to BlizzCon creates a lot of work for the OoC team, so its expected for news posts to be a little vague/make mistakes initially. I really appreciate the work that goes into this site, and I don't hold that against the team at all. However, it would be nice to have the posts updated when we learn specifics/correct info later. And if that doesn't happen, at least pages that are supposed to be consolidations of all of the info about an expansion should probably have all of the info we know.
Only 80k for the new cinematic trailer vs 2 million for Darkmoon? Did the Rewards Track fiasco scare that much hype away?
Its unsurprising that the darkmoon annoucement had one of the largest viewership around. If Im not mistaken it gifted packs for watching, and then there's the fact that it also features the first ever announcement of the new reward track that was basically buzzing around in the community for 2 months. So it makes sense that darkmoon got more viewers, if only because of the free packs.
It could have been "summon a 3/1 beaten corpse that attacks your opponent's face and then dies. Horribly".
Jokes aside, while Im not exactly completely apathetic about life in general, I tend to think of this card the same way I would think of Sneaky Delinquent or Fishy Flyer. Its not like hearthstone has ever shy away from darker themes, and I think its preferable to have a wider variety of flavor than the usual bland triple A tripe we see in everyday entertainment.
But ultimately as have been pointed out by Koetti, its basically just a reference to an old WoW questline.
Before you read my response, I want to acknowledge how tough the past year has been on many/most people. My answer is not intended to belittle that at all. In fact it is more interested in raising questions than imposing answers.
---------------
The cold and rational viewpoint is that we should hardly be surprised about a character dying in a game based on something called "Warcraft". A game in which players and card texts casually use words relating to death, and in which many characters are in a state arguably worse than death (I'm looking at you, mindless scourge). We can jokingly call Hearthstone a children's card game, and point at Warcraft as an exaggerated and cartoony fantasy franchise, but that dramatically understates how dark the story often is. Death is everywhere in it, and the only difference here is that you are explicitly shown the emotional response of a loved one.
For the sake of starting a meaningful discussion, I wonder what your thoughts are regarding Hearthstone's handling of Scholomance. In WoW it is incredibly dark, and if you feel bad for Mankrik you'll turn away in horror at the atrocities performed by Doctor Krastinov.
The question is: is HS's 'family friendly' take on Scholomance any less sinister? The implication is that the atrocities are just getting started, and so the logical step is that the characters we see there will soon be (un)dead. Just look at what Disciplinarian Gandling actually does!
Perhaps the card closest in flavour to Mankrik is Infiltrator Lilian, which tells the story of a character who despises the undead being killed and brought back as the very thing she hates. Surprise, surprise, she lashes out at the world in anger, just as Mankrik does. Granted, WoW lore lets us dissociate that process from Scholomance, but the process still happens.
It's interesting - and not at all unusual - that even in that context the fate Mankrik's wife manages to provoke a significant emotional response.

is another change for ysera awakens ,it doesnt do face dmg anymore. went from all characters to all minions alongside the mana cost increase.
New Hunter Minion - Sunscale Raptor
I'm pretty sure it just means the buffs will stack, I'd assume it still becomes a 1/3 when silenced regardless of how many times it's been shuffled
Forged in the Barrens
Nice to know! I missed it there! Is there a chance to make it appear as a side card when you write Mankrik?

Greetings.
When we wrote the article we had no info yet about the rebalancing of the Dream cards - we only knew that Dream would've costed 1 instead of 0.
However, later on we came to knowledge of changes to all the Dream cards (except for Emerald Drake), but at that point the article was already out.
I will personally edit it now so that it will include these changes.
