Sure, but, let'S be real, these things don't exactly take a huge amount of work even with a higher standard. Maybe it's because they have a small team, but I still rather they just throw out more small monetizeable content instead of having to package with overpriced bundles (rip to anyone who really wanted Hamul but can't afford to just fork over that much money)
Either way, stuff like this just makes me worry that they'll eventually try (or have to) sneak in more insidious monetization instead of taking the more noble route.
The question had asked specifically about skins using/referencing characters from outside the Warcraft universe, e.g. the Three Kingdoms ones we got recently. The main point in Ben's reply was really that they were open to it so long as it meshes well with the high fantasy Warcraft environment.
Note it wasn't really a general reluctance to make skins, just caution about messing with the theme and fantasy of the game. Given the complaints about K/DA in LoR, I can't blame them!
Probably because they want them to be... how can I say it... above a certain standard? Not just gifs with voice lines but flavorful at the right point.
I heard that Druid's removals are going to rotate, but not the exact cards - did Alec say them? Because I think he didn't, but I might be wrong as I was typing really really fast lol
I out him in a commencement paladin. Always tried to make this work but never took off for me. The new Vol'jin makes quite a difference. The minions in your hand feel much less stranded. Shocking your opponent by turning a silver had recruit into a Gruul or some big dragon is real fun!
I don't see it being a meta breaker but who knows, time will tell. For now it's just exciting to have a new toy.
The more I hear about mercenaries the even more interested I become. Upgrading them into different versions with new and or improved effects, equipable and upgradeable gear on top of the already revealed rogue-lite pve/pvp/rpg mechanics. I can't wait for them to give us an complete overview.
True, you're likely right. I just thought it was worth mentioning. It is worth keeping in mind that confront is permanent while vulnerable is only one enemy and cataclysm and Sonic Wave are only temporary. That likely won't be enough but I did feel it was worth bringing up.
His spell cards cataclysm seems better since it also give him a free attack, also there are better alternatives in other regions, Bilgewater and Shurima both have lot's of cards that gives enemy vulnerable, which count as being challenged, and Ionia has Sonic Wave who for the same cost as confront gives challenger and +2/+0, plus all those pesky protection spells.
You've got a point there, but there's also precedent in the Tyrande offer. It was also confirmed that they're thinking about adding older portraits and card backs to the shop after some exclusivity time. That argues for gold payment imho.
Give all your minions immune for 1 turn for 1 mana is a little bit very broken
It's kinda the same as wave of apathy though because you the enemies attack to 1 so they can't trade. Except they could buff their minions and use damage spells. But I was thinking of making it 2 mana but I was just thinking at a higher cost it would just be bad using on 1 mana for 2 or 3 mana or as a top deck for 3 mana
but they would be able to lose it if attacked obviously it wouldn't stay on them after attacked.
Interesting, I actually had not thought about the price. But since Darkmoon Races was 2.000 gold or 15 bucks I guess 2.000 would be a decent price for a Hero Portrait. Yeah, I think I'd pay up to 2.500.
Is there a world where this whole set of cards is enough to make Confront worth playing? It is still a 3 mana spell that does very little but when you want Jarvan IV to challenge things this badly it might be worth while.

He definitely specified Wrath and Swipe, yeah. No shame in missing that though; it's impressive you got info down as fast as you did!

Why? Just make more skins and sell them so you won't have to worry about monetizing through card packs so much. I don't understand the issue here
[Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)
Not spell damage, and think why the other brothers died, they came against something, just the anomaly and face one survived.

That is actually quite interesting.
T4: block and survive
T5. challenge, reset health, gain toughness, extra attack + health and win another trade.
Seems pretty good. It will require that he can get challenger consistently.
