With the nerf, 1 less health, 1 mana less, and doesn't impact your opponent than Jeeves.  Still will see play since you can drop it T1 with Druid and regain your power hand with The Coin or Innervate, not to mention Lightning Bloom.  Granted the latter will stick you for a turn, being able to recoup the next turn on items is still going to be amazing.

    Nah.

    Blizz-licker.

  • Dinotamer Brann

I really really hate this card, but I am looking forward to no more 2x King Krush in wild dropping on T10

  • Dreadlord's Bite

With the nerf announcement, I'm wondering if it will have an impact on the play with this card.  Going down 2 damage in swings may not be as impactful as they think.

Welcome to Highlander Even Hunter, Brann.

    If it's even possible.

  • Shardshatter Mystic

When the nerf comes through, it will be a similar Hellfire, only leaving legs on the board and not hitting the heroes

  • Alec Dawson Explains the Reasoning Behind the Upcoming Hearthstone Balance Changes

I think this is very much the reasoning behind it yeah. They want to give shaman some time in the meta. Considering DH and especially Hunter have been good for so long, I can see that reasoning, but if it is good for the game.. time will tell

  • Blade Dance

I'm looking forward to seeing how little the nerf will do for this card.

  • Demon Hunter Gets Nerfed This Holiday Season - Here Are Our Thoughts on The December Hearthstone Card Nerfs

I like this side-nerf to Raza Priest by nerfing Lorekeeper Polkelt . I've been debating the way to nerf that deck without killing it. I hope this makes it somewhat less powerful, but I guess Shadowreaper should be changed aswell.

  • Alec Dawson Explains the Reasoning Behind the Upcoming Hearthstone Balance Changes

Yeah I was also thinking Evolve Shaman will be the next big thing.

    Thank you!

  • They just cannot balance Duels, huh?

I may just be a negative nancy here but the balance changes seem to not do anything to the mode other than remove some high rolls (and kill rogue for some reason). Demon Hunter in Duels wasn't overpowered because of the treasures (although they did contribute) but rather because the Outlander Heropower is just plain overpowered and abusable in that class. In general it feels like every class has one good deck and that is the deck you will face, few exceptions apply. You run into Hunter, it will be Deathrattle. You run into warlock, it will be discard with C'thun and killmox (yeah I know kilmox will be nerfed but it will be run nontheless). The hero powers just kind of decide how you play the game and there is very little you can do to change it due to the limited card pool.

Not to mention how far apart the power level of treasures are. There are the ones that actively reduce the cost of your cards or give them rush while others barely do a thing (how is "make your weapons cost 1 less" a treasure?).

And then there is the whole issue of chain-queuing into the same person multiple times.

I don't know, I love the mode but after a few games it feels extremly same-y where even standart feels more versatile. Maybe that will change once all the hero powers and treasures are revealed but so far it just plays like an elaborate tavern brawl.

    uh what?

I think your math is wrong. No chance you jump from level 51 to level 80.

The rewards track update also splits each 50+ level into 3 parts. This means that the influx of 37000 XP which in the old track would move me to level 60 instantly will move me 3 times that in the new track, so I will be close to level 80 if not on level 80 itself after the update.

Please note that there will be a total of 350 levels after the rewards track update today instead of the previous limit of 150 levels. The total amount of XP required level 50 onwards did not change though.

Oh snap, I did forget they divided the levels from 150.

But even then 37000 exp should jump you 18 levels, assuming it's now 2000 exp post level 50.

Share your level after the update :)

  • Turbo C'Thun Mage

Alanna gives you some board presence that has a lot of innate synergy with C'Thun's pieces. But if you don't have her, then some card draw or stall is never a bad idea.

  • Can we talk about downvoting?

Maybe make the downvotes button with a reason review? Or do both.

What I mean is, when you up/down vote, force it to leave a short review, eg. Loved, Funny, Trolls, or Text emojis (like Discord).

EDIT, I know it's not easy, but I think it will give us a straight reason why it was up/downvoted. (and probably just hide the voter)

Shaman has sucked for a long time though, and they were pretty heavy-handed with Galakrond Shaman about a year ago. So they probably want to wait and see, though I agree with you - Evolve is going to spread quickly.

  • Details on the Hearthstone Progression System Update Arriving December 15

    Please guys open your eyes.

They first gave us a crazy and unfair reward system to test how far they can go before people leave the game.

Then they make it a little better so  people thinks their complains were listened. The reality is that with those changes we are not going to take 7k/8k without playing a lot.

WW — obviously not going to be rated by balance, but this card honestly has no point. You’d get the same effect doing eenie meenie miney mo with your deck slots. 1/5

Every time you do that though, you have to stop and play eenie meenie miney mo with yourself after each game.

With this new Whizbang, you can just start a new game immediately after the previous one ends and get a completely random deck. It's a more streamlined approach.

But the slightly more convenient random deck mode doesn’t justify designing an entire legendary around it. That issue should be solved by adding a “random” button, not a Legendary minion

  • Rewards Track: Current progress

With yesterdays Weeklies and todays Daily I´m  LVL 44 and half (3060/7800) right now. I´m leaving it here just for my self report to see how much will I gain after the patch goes live. Will edit later on.

EDIT: So after logging in I jumped 3 levels straight to LVL 47 (3760/5000). Can´t complain I guess :)

  • Hearthstone No Longer Playable on Mobile Devices With Less Than 2GB of Memory

I've had a similar problem with my iPad. It can technically run Hearthstone, but it takes up pretty much all of it's data and I can't really do anything

  • Can we talk about downvoting?

I personally only downvote in two cases:

    1. I disagree on the post and want to express this; in this case I also reply and state my opinion
    2. Unfriendly behavior (e.g. insults); this is pretty rare here though

That being said, down and upvoting is a legit function on this site and people are free to do it for no reason whatsoever. I am not bothered by downvotes and I think nobody should be. This in no way changes my interaction on the site. I also don't ask for reasons, people could have a ton or none at all. It is the internet after all :)

I think the downvote mechanism is an important one to have. I don't like it being used for disagreements but rather as a tool to let others know someone has posted something that is misinformed or straight up trolling.

The side effect here is, of course, that some people use it just to be dicks. If we catch people doing mass downvoting, we remove votes and have no problems banning accounts (we've done that in the past on a few occasions). If you think you've been targeted somewhere specifically, I'm always happy to look into it if you can link me (via PM) to the places your content is that was downvoted.

We don't have any automated systems yet for it since it isn't problematic yet, but the goal is to one day have a system in place to detect people being assholes and to remove their voting privileges, temporarily removing their votes, and flagging the account for review. We need to get a proper "trust" system in place though first before we can go far with that (a downvote from someone who has a more positive role on the site isn't likely to be abusing downvotes).

Yeah, I really don't understand why they feel the need to do this on Twitter.

The only thing I can think of is that it would take too long for them to localize the developer notes in all the different languages they have to write patch notes in which makes it a pain in the ass. This is one of the reasons Blizzard doesn't use their blog as often as they should (I know there's a source online for this somewhere), because they want to put the messaging out on all their platforms.

If a developer opts to post on Twitter or Reddit though, it becomes less of an "official communication" so there isn't a requirement it gets translated.

I still think that's on the lazy side though. If they don't have the people on their localized teams to do the translations they want, they should hire the right people and make more use of their blog to communicate developer insights to make those positions more worth having.

Or you know, just stop requiring that everything be translated since some community site that speaks those other languages will just translate anyway.
