Personally, those changes work fine for me. I mainly play ranked games anyway, and I’m excited to have a reason to open packs more often than every 4 months. (With duplicate protection, it will be easy to get the commons and rares. For epics and legendaries, I’ll hope for some luck but craft what I need, just as with main sets.)
I agree that different people will have different reactions to these changes, though. Hopefully Blizzard is approaching a system that works for more people.
I wonder why they preemptively nerfed Highlander Hunter but not Evolve Shaman. Shaman already had one of the strongest decks, and it was held in check only by tough matchups against Demon Hunter and Face Hunter. What’s going to stop it from dominating now
Even after the nerf, this is still a stellar card. I love it in Wild with Duplicate, I almost always see my opponent just leave after they see me get 2 more in my hand.
You are absolutely right! Crystology is one of the best cards in your starting hand since you draw your 1-Drops and also thin your deck, so you don't draw them later (there are 5-6 in the Deck!) in the Game when you need your big Buff cards!
I played Odd Paladin exclusively the past two seasons and Drawing or an empty Hand were never a Problem.

I'm sitting @ level 37 (559/5800) with two 1k xp daily quests on my log.
I just managed level 38. I'm still debating on whether I should just sit on my weekly quests (the new quests we get tomorrow) until after the patch or complete them tomorrow.
I ended up completing 2 of the weekly quest (via BG) along with 2 dailies to push level 39 just now.
It really helps that the dailies can now be concede at start & get credit towards daily. No way that I'm playing any matches before my morning cup of coffee!
I really wonder if this new concede behavior was intentional or not. In the past, a message would popup that there were too few turns played to gain quest progress. Thus, I would not be surprised that this will be reverted in a future update. I would be disappointed though, because it would also mean more time lost completing these silly daily quests.
Currently, they might as well add the daily quest XP towards our XP progress simply for logging in.
Would've liked to see some buffs to some DMF cards for Priest and Druid, but hey, we take what we can get.
Keen to start playing ranked again
OR unnerfs for other stuff like the galakrond shaman stuff(like eve just 1 and rest with rotation) or fiendirhs rites for walrocks which is already not in a good spot at all aswell
Why sugesttion buff/unnerf ideas for classes that are terribe ebignd wonvoted? guess peopel want to be etrirble adn stay terrible
Or mayeb its the people that go OMG its gonna make mega broken tier 0unstopable as soon see any kind of support at all (odd palyl/secret mage for any support for recruits or any secret support/any secret even fi tis worse version of excisting)
The reasoning is fine but I think Blade Dance is still too strong, they didn't even address the contradiction with the class identity, they just delayed the card for one turn and that does nothing when paired with Skull.
I think blade dance is fine now 100% and are cards that are more much more deserving aof a nerf (bladed lady/skull of guldan)
It seems that they think it's super fair that DH can do 8+ damage in hero attacks very easily. The functionality of Blade Dance has not changed. It's just slightly worse. But 3 mana to deal 8+ damage to three enemy minions is still incredibly efficient. So, i don't think things are going to change a lot. Also, i can't believe they keep ignoring Skull of Gul'dan. That card fuels every single DH deck. It's actually the main issue. Even the hyper aggro strategies use it. It's that busted. If that thing costed 8 mana, it would still be 10000 times better than Lay on Hands. It can't stay this way for the next year and a half.
I think your math is wrong. No chance you jump from level 51 to level 80.
The rewards track update also splits each 50+ level into 3 parts. This means that the influx of 37000 XP which in the old track would move me to level 60 instantly will move me 3 times that in the new track, so I will be close to level 80 if not on level 80 itself after the update.
Please note that there will be a total of 350 levels after the rewards track update today instead of the previous limit of 150 levels. The total amount of XP required level 50 onwards did not change though.

Akama Prime
meh
Vashj Prime
I've been using this a lot in my wild Shaman decks and it helps with the spell damage
Reliquary Prime
Still a pain whenever it pops up... especially when Shaman gets it with that damned legendary weapon.
Zixor Prime
I'm shocked that I don't see this more in face hunter to help clear the field.

Murgurgle Prime
Can more people use this in their paladin decks?
Kargath Prime
The animation does wonders... as does the card itself
Kanrethad Prime
I have used this a lot in my even lock deck
Solarian Prime
Even after the nerf, this is still a stellar card. I love it in Wild with Duplicate, I almost always see my opponent just leave after they see me get 2 more in my hand.
Msshi'fn Prime
I"ve not seen anyone making use of this prime
Turbo C'Thun Mage
I don't want to craft such a risky card for a new deck - how does the deck work without Dragoncaller?

I just wonder why couldnt put the reasons in the patchnotes like have done in past.
New Warrior Spell - Athletic Studies
I'm shocked that more Warrior decks aren't using this. Although with ETC now in standard, I hope that more Rush minions are added to keep that going.
New Warlock Spell - Demonic Studies
I was hoping that with the new expansion that this would be more viable in Zoo Lock... sad panda.
New Priest Spell - Draconic Studies
I thought that I would have seen more of this card in Wild with Dragon Priest but surprisingly enough... no

Did someone say even highlander hunter? 3/4 highlander cards in hunter are even, this could be interesting.

New Mage & Shaman Spell - Primordial Studies
Still being a solid card in wild and standard after a few months of being out
New Hunter Spell - Carrion Studies
Still not a fan of this card
