Currently level 17 (501/2600) towards 18, and I do not have the Tavern Pass. I only played Ranked Standard to get to Gold 10 otherwise I've been playing Battle Grounds/Duels for achievements. I did complete last weeks win 7 games of Ranked Play mode via low Bronze Wild while completing Ride Together, Die Together, Lothraxion's Balloon Shop & Two Punch Man.
Newly made level 23 (244/3200) towards 24. I've been collecting the Darkmoon Faire xp achievements & completed Duelist 5-9 yesterday before the launch that netted me 5,800 xp. I posted in the 80g (That needs a name update!) quest trading thread if any1 on NA has the Challenge a Friend daily.
I have just made it to level 25 & this was my Legendary reward:
so ... nothing really worth to spend time to achieve ... tks
That's about right. Do note that some of them (Darkmoon and Duels based ones) reward actual XP, but everything else is just bragging rights, I guess. This bugged me a quite a bit at first too.
I always view achievements as one of the best developments in gaming history, because they simultaneously encourage players to explore a game to its fullest without forcing them to do anything they don't want to do. They are completely win-win: the developers get to know none of their hard work goes unnoticed, and (many) players get to enjoy aspects of the game they might otherwise miss.
Perhaps my opinion is biased by growing up first with an Xbox and then an Xbox 360, when achievements that gave you worthless points were added to every game, so I have always thought of achievements that way.

I think that's how they'll nerf that card too (reducing the mill quantity) - I played a few hours last night of standard ladder at the Diamond 5 level and I faced 80% plus Y'Shaarj warlocks. That card being played 2-3 times (thanks to Felosophy) is brutal against a control/combo deck.
I did not get a Daily Quest today. All I have is a small red space telling me I have another 17 hours until I get a new Daily Quest.
On Tuesday I did not clear out a new spot for a Daily Quest from the three full spots because the new four-spot UI made me think I could carry four Quests at a time (Feedback: Not great UI, Blizz). Did this somehow cause it? I then cleared my Quests on Wednesday, then completed the one Daily Quest I received yesterday. When I logged in this morning, all I had was that red empty spot--no new Quest.
Is this part of the new system that I hadn't heard about (Daily Quests aren't actually Daily)? Or is this a bug? Is this even the right place for me to post this?
This way you can test the core of your concept for half the cost.
Tickatus can easily be slapped into a Renolock or Demonlock shell with only minor risk, while the old god needs additional support that risks to make the deck suboptimal.
Afterall, Brann Bronzebeard exists for 10 cards burns. Also, decks in Wild tend to draw way faster than 10 cards burn being a consistent wincon, making Y'shaarj redundant. Or you simply die before you can set it up.
Personally I dropped Tickatus but it was barely important in the few games I tried it. Its setup is slower than it seems on paper. So doubling it sounds like greedy overkill to me.
PS: burned cards CAN accelerate fatigue if cards are burned, but it never triggers fatigue damage. So you don't immediately kill with tickatus. At best you setup one fatigue tick on next turn. So in the meanwhile you still have to survive for several turns unless you close the game by other means. It's not Coldlight Milling. Subtle but crucial.
I want Tickatus so bad I can taste it. That, along with Y'Shaarj, the Defiler just smell like a great control warlock build.
If I open one of them, I could probably craft the other. Control Warlock decks are quite expensive though.
Anyone have an idea for Archwitch Willow yet? Opened her on SA launch and haven't used her once.
Control Lock has historically always been quite expensive to build. It is a solid deck that does wonderfully terrible things to your opponent, but it does take A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of dust to make it.
Grand Totem Eys'or is surprisingly good so far. I've been playing Totem Shaman and it's just wrecking most of the other decks right now (I'm currently 8-1 with it).
The main criticism for this card was that there aren't just enough totems to include in your deck, which has proven to be wrong. There's Totem Goliath, Mana Tide Totem, EVIL Totem, and Circus Amalgam, not to mention the totem-duplicating cards like Splitting Axe and Totemic Reflection. That's more than enough support. Add in the presence of Lightning Bloom and Tour Guide and you can cheat out multiple totems and Grand Totem Eys'or as early as turn 2, where it can just snowball from there.
It could be early, but it's powered Totem Shaman to Tier 1 so far. I'm hoping Grand Totem Eys'or would be nerfed eventually though, it was my golden legendary from the bundle. Gimme that dust!
Totem shaman is wrecking greedy decks, the people use to test new decks in the first week of a new set, usually greedy combo decks or memes.
On decembre totem shaman will be tier 2/3 for sure.

It would cost so much to Wizards to give the usual 3 boosters? Why only 1 this time? Maybe this would make me a bit more inclined to try a historic-only set....
I don't think Tickatus is broken yet because Control Warlocks aren't really that strong right now. They die too easily to decks that can pressure them (Totem Shaman, Rogue, Soul Demon Hunter) because they can't really make power plays until turn 8, when they can finally corrupt their Strongman. Maybe the lists aren't refined yet, but for now, I think control Warlock is tier 3 at best.
Tickatus can be rage-inducing, though. I still expect it to be nerfed to milling just 3 cards instead of 5. I think that's fair.
I think there's a bit of inconsistency with this card's effect. I managed to discount the cost of Bladed Lady with Skull of Gul'dan, then I pumped up my attack to 6 to activate its effect. Since its card text reads "Costs (1) if your hero has 6 or more attack," I fully expected the Lady to be 1 mana, but it became 0, which I think isn't consistent?
The reason I was thinking that was because of Eye Beam: if you discount it to 0 mana with Skull of Gul'dan, it will STILL be 1 mana when it's in outcast position. Maybe it just works differently with outcast, but I dunno, this just doesn't seem right. Not really a complaint, just an observation.
In classic Blizzard fashion, they probably reduce the cost by 5
Myth for Hysteria. Increase its cost somehow and then get 6 attack
I opened 240 packs and was a little short of having everything, so I purchased another 60 and so it took about 300 packs to get everything from this expansion. I have my wooden coin, lmao.
Ashes of Outland was the last expansion I tracked and it was about $280 to get every card. So this one was a bit more. Price is going up.
Any difference with AoO is purely statistical because there are the same number of cards of each rarity (or most importantly here, the same number of legendaries). If there was no legendary in the smaller pre-order then that makes a difference of 1 legendary, but even that is compensated for by there being 2 of them on the reward track.
Where it actually will get more expensive is with the mini-set, but that has nothing to do with your count above,
Also, it is not super clear from your post, but did you open every card from packs without using any dust? Expensive as the game may be, it would be disingenuous to count the cost of the game without taking dust into account.
I understand that Ranked is about competition, but for most of the achievements you don't even have to win. So I'm more than happy to finish the achievement and then concede to give you the win. Where you have to win (eg. Yogg, C'thun achievements) this does not apply of course.
I just completed the C'thun achievement. It was a grind. I specifically made a Priest deck for it, with draws, heals, and board clears. None of my opponents got the idea, even though I never attacked face and even healed their face to clean up accidental damage. Finally I found a Priest with the similar idea, I think he knew what was going on, but I was the luckier person.
I was playing some Weapon Rogue in Duels, and I took a bucket that had multiple Weapon synergy cards like Steeldancer and Cutting Class, but I didn't realize I also took an Arcanite Reaper as one of the options.
Is it intentional? Did anyone else get different class cards for other classes with maybe Mage/Shaman?

Who's the dev that thought Tickatus is balanced card ?

How soon is too soon to craft?
Just go for Tickatus and skip y'shaarj.
