  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

Well this didnt fix anything at all. The game became so grindy out of nowhere, im 24 level and i need a total of 3200 exp to level up i mean at 40+ plus levels its gonna take a whole week to level up and the reward feels so little for a whole week of grinding. Arena players sadly are totally f****d with this system.

They need to make the exp each level needs possible for a human to farm not for robots otherwise this new system was the nail in the coffin for the game.

I mean this solved the smallest problem the community had with the rewards track? Wohoo, I guess?

Still, the worst thing is not getting any small amounts of gold in between. I am currently between Level 25 and 26 and it's a REALLY slow push and I just wanna play heroic duels, but I guess I should just wait for more daily quests, which is kinda insane. I want to play more hearthstone, not less Blizzard lmao.

On my Ipad my client crashes on Yogg saron's wheel, I hope they will fix that soon.

It would be awesome if the level 25 reward was a guaranteed Old God.

Unfortunatelly, it isn´t :/ Right now I´m lvl 26 and my legendary was

    Deck of Chaos Card Image.

Thankfully I was lucky to get golden C'Thun, the Shattered from the first golden pack :)

You mean like before? And that don't enter the calculations of daily gold?

  • Did Anyone Else Not Receive a Daily Quest?

There are already a zillion threads on Reddit and other sites about this. Some people don´t get Daylies/ Weeklies and Blizz just don´t care. They´ve said they already "fixed it" (https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/jwo540/duels_weekly_quests_hotfix/) and few days later they´ve stated "they are currently investigating it" (https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/276986), so they have no idea what caused it. Support isn´t heplfull at all, looks like they won´t compesate anyone :/

Yeh meh no gold for 3 wins I had hope they will make it 20 but still this is useless nothing

  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

At that high lvls they should ADD the gold along with the original pack.. There was no reason to take the packs away. This way it´s still a silly reward for that huge amount of required XP..

  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

You can't even say that a pack is equivalent to 100 gold. Maybe Darkmoon Faire packs can be considered to be worth 100 gold, but even Scholomance or Ashes of Outlands packs are worth much less than 100 gold. A normal player would much rather have the packs from the current expansion.

However, I do share your sentiment that we shouldn't lose faith in this battle pass yet. Sure, this is probably a marketing scheme, but at the very least I believe that Blizzard is far from the level of Bethesda with Fallout 76.

  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

You're forgetting that we've gotten two sets of weekly quests and two extra daily quests in first week, so at current pace you'll need a lot more time than four weeks to get to lvl 50.

I thought that I've played a lot this first week and even with battle pass bonus included, I've just reached lvl 23. I certainly won't be continuing at this pace. By being 7k+ xp ahead of me, you really do play a LOT, which means that you're representing a tiny minority of Hearthstone community. Most of players play less than hour a day on average and progression system is tailored towards them.

I do expect that I'll reach lvl 50 by the end of the season, but not many levels past it.

  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

But in the past we already got additional rewards for seasonal events. If Blizzards calculations say "you're going to rely on seasonal events to get the value you already had," then any additional value you got from events before is now moot.

Because of the weekly quest bug, I missed out on thousands of xp this week that I can't get back. Will Blizzard compensate me or even apologize? Nah. I did two dailies today and made a little more than halfway the progress to get from level 21 to 22. What do I get once I level up? 100 gold. So rather than getting 110 for my two dailies like before, I'm getting the equivalent of about 60 now. Yeah, this system sucks.

No you don’t. This may be an unpopular opinion, but the rewards are quite OK, main issue is with Blizzzards misscommunicating and obfuscating information. After week 1 I’m at level 25, with the same progress I should achieve level 50 after a 4 additional weeks and reaching roughly level 150 at the end cycle. Now I play a lot but I’m not a grinder.

    - Why tavern brawls don't contribute to quest completions is beyond me. If I were a new player, have few or any cards in my collection, tavern brawls would be the number 1 place I go to complete my quests. This was the case in the old system, and I can't fathom why its not in the new one.

Wholeheartedly agree with your entire post, but this really caught me off guard as a person coming back after a break from HS.  Played 3 games of TB to knock out a couple quests and was shocked to see no progress at the end!  Definitely made for a salty start to the season, but they brought Yogg back so it was hard to stay mad ;D

  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

    Good news.

Hopefully something will be done to either make the xp curve less steep or give more xp ie better weekly quests. Or slightly better rewards along the track.

I'd gladly have weekly quests that take some days to complete, as long as they rewarded a proportionate amount of xp.

Right now chances are I am out of quests on day 2 of each week (unless I'm given quests of modes I won't play).

    Missed Connections

    To Trevolock,

If you are reading this, I'm sorry that my decision to try out new cards in an Odd Paladin build offended you so much that you had to concede and instantly friend me on the mulligan.  Honestly, that friend request came in so instantaneously that I thought you were my previous Mill Rogue opponent that couldn't beat me despite the game going 14 turns.  I mean, honestly, what kind of Mill Rogue deck that keeps an Odd Paladin off the board for that many turns loses?!?!

But back to us!  Trevolock, I never got a chance to respond to your message.  I quote, "can you people really not stop or something" "shits been aroumd for yrs"

Now, had you waited for me to respond before instantly unfriending me and then denying my requests to refriend you, I would have told you that I play a wide variety of decks from Aggro, to Control, to Combo, to even the very meme-iest of decks!  You just happened to catch me trying out an Odd Paladin build of my own design using Lothraxion and other new cards!  I mean, yeah... Odd Paladin may have been "aroumd" for years, but so have a lot of other decks?  Do you flame on everyone who plays old deck styles?  If so... are you okay?!  Because I am here for you.  I want to be your friend!  Please come back and hang out.  For real!  I think we could have had something really special, you and I.

    Sincerely,
    Thonson

  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

Agree and agree. I have been playing for hours today trying to enjoy the new cards. Haven't gone up one level. The XP bar isn't shown after each match. It just feels.. like my "progress" is being hidden from me.

  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

Okay, so there's some progress. That's good. I don't think its useful to reiterate the problems of the reward track, so I'm not going to do that. I'm not fully happy, but I'm more than willing to wait until the end of the darkmoon expansion before I make any decisions.

    So let's also bring up a few other things that I wish blizz will address;

    - Please for the love of god make it explicit how much xp is being gained per game. If the idea is to obscure this from the playerbase in hopes they won't nickel and dime each session, its clear that some will, and when its demonstrated in forums, it will not reflect well on blizz's part. Just give us an interface that shows how much xp is being gained, if only for the increased transparency.

    - There should be a button to confirm all those achievements achieved. I don't get why the achievement points and xp don't just get automatically collected, instead of relying on us to click every single one of them to get the 'rewards'.

    - While we're on the subject of achievements. Please have a button to turn off the alerts. I don't know why, but having my game or pack openings spoiled for me is getting on my nerves.

    - Why tavern brawls don't contribute to quest completions is beyond me. If I were a new player, have few or any cards in my collection, tavern brawls would be the number 1 place I go to complete my quests. This was the case in the old system, and I can't fathom why its not in the new one.

More than ever we need better communication between the hearthstone team and its community. If we're going to make this work, it will take a lot more than a few band-aids solutions; it will take trust and transparency. Would be nice if blizz live up to their own legacy instead of gaffe after gaffe after gaffe. If nothing else, it would make me feel a lot better giving you my hard earned cash if I don't feel like a chump doing so.

  • Blizzard Screwed Up With the Rewards Track - A Letter to Hearthstone

Yup, found out today that you can no longer complete quests or achievements in Brawl or Casual. Your only options are Standard ladder, Wild ladder, or a paid mode (Arena and heroic Duels).

I'm assuming the goal is to funnel the free-to-play players into spending gold or grinding on ladder. This kills Tavern Brawl after you've gotten your classic pack, which is a shame, because that was the perfect way to complete quests involving less popular classes. Now, there's a chance you'll be forced to spend a lot of time on ladder with an underperfoming deck just to clear your log.

  • Hearthstone Rewards Track Patch - Client Updated to Removed End of Track Pack Rewards, Replaced with Gold

One thing I thought of yesterday: Pack rewards are essentially equal to 100 gold.  Some of the pack rewards are along parts of the Rewards track that offer more than 100 gold/level.  So offering packs any point past level 25 is essentially a downgrade to your reward.

With the new patch this only comes into play twice now.  Level 27 offers you an Ashes of Outland pack instead of 150 gold like level 26.  Level 30 offers you a Madness at the Darkmoon Faire pack instead of 150 gold as well.  But again, if you convert these two packs to gold they randomly downgrade your reward back to 100 gold at levels 27 and 30 for some reason.  So while it's only another 100 gold total to replace them with 150 gold sacks... why didn't they?

Again, small issue as the new patch resolves this already.  But for me it's the small details that Blizzard missed here that are the issue.  I personally like the new rewards track, and I am optimistic they will hold true to their word and make sure it is more rewarding.  This quick patch to change a few things already shows that they are willing to keep their word.  I mean, they aren't going to purposefully piss off the entire player base and just do nothing about it to make them happy.  They make too much money off of this game at Activision-Blizzard to intentionally kill it by implementing a new reward system that is horrible for all players.

A good chunk of the outcry could've been mitigated if Team 5 put out how much XP a player is guaranteed during said events. "If you complete this series of quests you'll get X amount of experience for your rewards track!" would have been great to hear. Even if that were said it wouldn't alleviate that SLOG that is the Rewards Track. Just hit 26 and it honestly feels like games are not generating enough XP.

I think we should get 3 quests per day.

  • Incanter's flow - A thought process. Turn 1 or not?

There’s a few factors involved, like what deck are you facing, would you rather Apexis on 4 etc. I’d say most of the time you would almost always coin Incanter’s Flow, unless you are preparing to coin out a Flame Ward or something

Not sure why I'm getting downvoted here. Right at this very moment, the top 20 threads in /r/hearthstone sorted by "Hot" are about the rewards, monetisation, and Hearthstone's economy. All 20. You wouldn't even know there was a new expansion that just launched. The community is angrier than I have ever seen it before and I have been playing since the beginning. Downvote away, though, I guess.
