DH lifesteal tools are very small, thinking of Eye Beam and Aldrachi Warblades but we still need to see all the cards before making an accurate decision. Did not expect Il'gynoth to be a DH class card though
There was an image of the upcoming achievements somewhere that had an Il'gynoth related thing listed under Demon Hunter, so based on that it was expected. Flavorwise there definitely isn't any reason though. I guess all classes will get some madness, and Il'gynoth had to find a home somewhere.
I really like the effect and I think it's very cool! But is this really strong? If you want to play this for value, it'll sit on your hand for a while because you have to wait for the opponent to play a strong card. But the card must not only be strong, but also useful. It doesn't want to copy Battlecry Minions. Ongoing effects tent to work better with you opponents deck, so you're probably just deny the effect instead of using it for yourself. This leaves keywords like Charge, Taunt, DS, Lifesteal, Poisonous etc. and Deathrattle. I guess the last one is the best target for this. And apart from unfreezing for lethal you'll most likely never cast this on your own minions. Will this be enough to put the card in your deck?
It's reactive not active and this prevents the card from being meta defining. I guess we'll see it mostly in Highlander decks. Or am I missing anything?
Hope to try wil Yogg mage for puzzle box x2, whispers Yogg and this one.
Come one, come all to the Yogg's Casino
The devs have said in an interview that each Old God will get an artifact spell that are throwbacks to the original Old Gods, so unless they already counted Puzzle Box towards those, there will be even more random incoming.
Right. I was also thinking in Wild you could do something like play this on a friendly Ragnaros. The silenced 8/8 could then attack as normal and the 4/4 copy gets the Rag shot off.
The Battlecry is completely useless once you get to 10 mana, so Aggro card.
The good thing with this card is that you can play your future turns around the loss of a Mana Crystal whereas your opponent most likely can't with theirs, which may give you an advantage. It can also be used to disrupt curve plays, but that might be too pre-emptive to be practical as you're not quite sure if your opponent has the card you're guarding from in their hand. But I suppose using that as a safeguard play isn't a bad thing. Admittedly though, the loss of a mana crystal will hurt your own curve as well leading to worse plays from you in future turns.
It's not as bad as I initially thought it was, or as some people are saying, but I still find it a bit difficult to expect this card to do greatly.
New Priest Minion - The Nameless One
Oh the source is silenced, I was like, what on earth is the point of this card if you copy something and then silence yourself...

I was going to be lazy and go with maybe 75 votes and 50 comments, but then I saw the promise of C'Thun profile header for double 135...

New Warlock Minion - Revenant Rascal
I think aggro Warlock can make it with delaying opponent mid range minions, and keeping a constant pressure from board
New Priest Minion - The Nameless One
Nice! Silence with a body and potential for really good effects. Could go right into most Priest decks out there.
New Neutral Minion - Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate

Good for some taunts (hard or soft anyway) and give copies.
Lorewise I think is Madame Lazul replacement as Old Gods Agent
New Priest Minion - The Nameless One
I think priest can find uses for this... For example against libram paladin you don't only silence their libram deathrattle but also steal it.
The Nameless One
Solid... I think priest can find uses for this...

Interesting effect. This stats though... can be ok in arena. But this is not a 3 drop...
