  • High Level Analysis - Nifty Aggro

You couldn't win against me with a deck full of avalanches, shadow removal, frostbite and healing in anivia

    Get top tiered rofl

  • High Level Analysis - Nifty Aggro

I'll go back to the demo variant to redevalue pings with blade dancer lol have fuuuuuun

Yep ya got fucked so we have two variants one hyper aggro and original og

One has an insane winrate and one counters the counters

  • High Level Analysis - Nifty Aggro

Yeah like you can build a do nothing garbage and just bate an avalanche but once again, how do you win against every other deck in the game?

So once again hard counter or nothing right?

This is what makes a tier list its not harr harr this deck is literally unbeatable

It's har har you have to bend so fucking far over backwards to counter this that your climbing chance on ladder is exactly naught point nothing on zero.

Anub'Rekhan is a big change too. You can no longer follow it with Underking without having armor already. That can slow down the big Anub'Rekhan into Underking and Zok Fogsnout turn. It also makes it harder to get the armor necessary for The Jailer and Tony, King of Piracy.

  • Blizzard Cancels Overwatch 2's PvE Mode - Roadmap 2023 Revealed

I imagine Overwatch will go the way of Heroes of the Storm in a few years. These decisions coupled with the fact that better games exist doesn't look well for the game's longevity.

  • High Level Analysis - Nifty Aggro

Just like a "pro player" we are going to go through every inclusion in my deck and why it's top tier:

3 all out - if people remember shurima had a 2+1 burst and it was top tier and demanded a nerf, well here we are good card

    3 pigeons - another 3/3 for one that is sometimes a 4/4

3 saboteur - I've come around on this card since vile feast and pokey aren't the auto includes they used to be, it's very good for what this deck is trying to do - board presence plus burn

3 Rearguard - required a nerf at one point it was so good, staple aggro card

    3 Butchers - another staple card 3/3 for 1

3 Make It rain - on its own in a vacuum it's okay, but really shines as a set up for pirotte plus butcher

3 pirouette - might be op it's so good, imagine if guile and parlay had a baby and you're halfway there

3 Samara- what doesn't she do, she burns, she Diana's, she has a good champ spell, and ocassionally you level her

3 mf - she complicates board math and pushes a bit of burn, and has a good champ spell but probably the most "fair" card in the deck

3 noxian furver - complicates board and face math while burning. You can probably measure winrate by number drawn

3 zap sprayfin - basically elusive tf as far as this deck is concerned

3 eyes of nox - they nerfed it to focus speed and that effects aggro not at all because you'll always use it preemptively

3 decimate - they nerfed it and still doesn't matter when you consider how low thr mana curve is of this new and improved pirate aggro shell

So there is the S tier shell, a lot of things have got cut, demolitionist felt too slow, I knew that I didn't need any more go wide tools, I learned the power of all out, but largely the strategy stays the same

Spam high value one drops, wait for opponents response, leverage make it rain and piroette to win on tempo, push as much dmg as possible, then burn them out.

1 tech - I'm gonna use farron because having 15 one cost cards can deplete your resources fast and this gives the deck unexpected staying power.

All in all it's very hard to beat without a hard counter. Like yes you can run Elise, but then have fun beating all the solitaire decks out there.

Nora probably faires a little better but you'd be surprised, and they can't statistically hit Nora on curve every game even if it seems like it

You can spam healing but I guarantee I win that matchup everytime, so yes its basically hard counter or nothing, and then your hard counter loses to everything else.

Nifty aggro is the eternal meta now, and even pro players will have no choice but to admit it's impact. I'm basically the new Swim now sorry.

  • MARVEL SNAP's Hot Location is Fogwell's Gym - Double Your Boosters!

I almost Reality Stone'd the location by accident when I first saw it lol. A couple games later, my opponent played Galactus there even though they were clearly losing the spot, just to preserve the bonus 🙂

  • I Think Everyone Has Given Up Now

Typically the meta cycle goes like this:

    Rage -> denial -> bargaining -> acceptance

So now that everyone has moved into the acceptance stage I basically just get insta conceded in eternal.

All the best players in LOR tried to step up to the plate and make Nifty Eternal aggro look bad

Mostly by board spamming good trading followers like that's some kind of answer

But eventually I won enough matches anyway that everyone has accepted the S tier status of Samara MF

And it will hit top of S tier for Eternal tier lists

It was bound to happen eventually, I've been absolutely raking good players over the coals with my off meta builds that my one foray into meta territory was bound to be unstopable.

So yeah discussion over, thanks for playing.

I am the king of eternal and I'll let you know the next time I build an S tier list for the format.

    ----rant----

Pro players will try to deceive you into thinking ratioing matters, that by moving 1 card they somehow "fixed" your deck and can take credit for it.

No that bullshit, it's the shell that matters.

The person who decided to cheat out Nasus with a landmark first made that deck.

Just like I learned that Samara was all in all a more efficient inclusion over TF in pirate aggro hence its my shell

Or inefficient memey print decks are Sunnys claim to fame.

Or Grapplr keep trying to make Karma work, who may be unironically good now in standard.

    Or Majin made Ryze cancer

Those are their decks and this is mine plain and simple

Yea, i've played a lot of it, but only casually. Recently i don't have enough time to split between multiple games. They also get boring after a while lol

Mods. Nuff said :D But i get what you are saying. I cant play it extensively for a longer periods of time either, as with any game really. But it is one of the very few games i comeback to periodically.

  • Helping Majin Bae With His Eternal Tier List

    https://masteringruneterra.com/eternal-tier-list/

Eternal is a very broad meta, to the point that it becomes difficult to objectively talk about decks without inserting a little personal bias but let's try our best by using last season as a base:

    1. Elites - I do not think that elites are broken anymore, as someone who used them to easily hit masters in record time last season, they actually feel quite slow by eternal standards.

    - you can cast your big 9 cost rally and opponents will have no problem chumping 6 times in one turn by the time the spell is online

    2. Annie Jhin - this is objectively not the best way to run aggro anymore, once again it feels slow and inflexible. Spamming 4/2 stuns is not good enough

    - you'll feel that turn 1 Annie isn't the terror she used to be, and I dont even know the last time I saw tibers

    3. Jayce - objectively not the best control shell anymore, spamming 3/3s and pinging for 3 used to be the only good answer to elites. But as we mentioned if elites are too slow then jayce is way too slow

    What's gotten better:

Pirate aggro - Samara as amazing as she has been for standard, is way better in eternal where you essentially have an unlimited supply of high value one drops.

    - It's not a complicated deck essentially being the LOR equivalent of mtg humans, just cheap good units with good effects at a low mana cost plus some cheap spells.

Ryze - it's hard to argue that with Ionia getting its own version of tavern keeper plus mana cheating that ryze isn't very good now. It will always be a high variance deck but it remains a scary matchup.

Turbo Nasus - easy wincon that got better control spells in the form of shadow isles very own culling strike, plus the already existing quietus makes that 1 ->2 control spell formula very consistent so you can play solitaire all you want.

    - good tech options as well for board clears, and healing means that this sneaky last season deck will be top tier this season

Sundisc - speaking of uninteractive wincons, while remaining an off meta pick in eternal it will have its place as the ultimate solitaire deck. While it's weak into aggro (very weak) it's simultaneously a very reliable way to punish a large variety of deck builds

Ramp - you'll notice a bit of a trend here where your deck is either A (very ******* fast) or (very uninteractive) eternal is essentially going to be LOR modern and thats the trend you notice in expanded card pools.

    - I love midrange, and straight up control but you will find it struggle to make a home on the external tier list. So 20/20 on mana 7 kinda good. Along with infinite free card value.

Lurk - the ultimate highroll deck will always have a place, and while statically it will be tier 3 it won't feel that way when they hit the dreded double champ setups.

Nora - Nora isn't a deck Nora is legion. It doesnt matter how well you think you've prepped the marchup, or your winrate record into this champion sometimes she will just bs you, and you'll get real salty, and there will be nothing you can do about king granny.

So yeah in conclusion the "competitive decks" from last season are bad in eternal, the uninteractive garbage from last season are good!

And the only aggro decks that are worth playing are fast enough to kill your opponent before they can play solitaire.

Thats my eternal tier list so you're welcome Majin for your introduction to this messy, messy and beautiful format.

Here's a list of the games that might give some traction if featured, at least according to my tastes:

Battle brothers, Wartales, Rimworld (+mods!), Jagged Alliance 3 (upcoming), Spaceborne 2 (very active dev and complex game), Age of Wonders 4, Humankind, Distant worlds 2, maybe other Paradox titles.

Curious to see what other people like :)

Longyuan is now limited to 2 any advice what to add in his place? The cryston as well any recommandation ?

  • NERF KARMA PLEASE.

Coins apart - I too think she is fine but they need to buff other control options. She is only problematic because she costs a mere 5 mana which is a joke compared top other Control cards like Aurelion. WHen other "Win on turn 10" cards come down, they have hardly any mana left to interact but Karma not only is cheaper but has coins...so...something must be done here.

  • Hearthstone Patch 26.2.2 Brings Nerfs, Buffs, Battleground Changes, & More!

Slow warriors still feels hard to play despite the changes made to From the Depths, which is a bit unfortunate. Perhaps some pro will make up a tier 2 deck, but right now seems like its really fodder for aggro decks. Riffs still feels like shit.

Playing any warrior that isn't menagerie or enrage feels like throwing stuff around hoping they would gel into a unit. Feels like everything in warrior comes with a condition that makes it hard to play, in comparison with other classes.

Only other change here that even remotely matters is Sinful Brand practically being nuked to orbit. I would be very surprised to see this card ever again in competitive.

As for duels, I feel its extremely harsh for team5 not to just reset everything and refund my run, especially since Im at 4 wins only to find my hp got nerfed. Not even sure why the nerfs were made, because the only problematic passive right now is staking a claim, all others seems fine.

But duels may be at its twilight anyway. The mode simply isn't the same ever since the bucket change.

Charge isn't too exciting. Most of the time it's either an annoying finisher or a boring minion. Seraphina the Siren is more exciting and seems somewhat balanced by the lack of direct face damage on Warlock spells. I was worried her effect scales too quickly. Warlock does have a lot of cards that summon imps, destroy your own minions for bonus effects or deal aoe damage. However, I mostly see her being powerful (face damage wise) in combination with Felfire in the Hole!, Mordresh style, which relies on your deck having exclusively Fel spells, so you're probably good.

I appreciate the throwback that is Frenzied Doomguard, but discard just never really seems worth it. Soulstealing Familiar fits the prompt well. It really feels like a Priest card despite using Rush. I also like it since I'm a big Thief archetype enthousiast, but Cranky Hibernator has a more interesting effect and feels original, so that one's probably my favorite too.

    wooder27
I'll admit I don't know any WoW lore, but the effects seem a bit disconnected to me. Giving your weapon Poisonous is an interesting effect that fits Warrior's aggressiveness well, encouraging you to smash your face into big minions and profiting off it, but I don't see why the minion also has Windfury. It gives me the impression that you probably added it because you wanted to make a card that has two keywords that fit the prompt.

Also, when you submit, I advice you to write a short explanation in the card description as to how the effect fits in with the lore.

    Demon
The requirement is quite exciting. I definitely think most players would interpret this correctly, but it's still somewhat of a gray area. I personally prefer something along the lines of "a spell improved by Spell Damage" following the phrasing of cards like Unexpected Results.

    Neoguli
Eldritch Atrocity doesn't really stand out that much. Cryotic Succubus is quite interesting, except it seems (correct me if I'm wrong) that so far it only synergizes with Going Down Swinging. An effect that is literally useless unless combined with one specific card is not something I approve of. Also, a hero is generally referred to as "it" instead of "them" (like Truesilver Champion).

  • NERF KARMA PLEASE.

Karma is a win condition, basically. So, the only reliable way to beat Karma Sett is to kill them before Karma levels up, OR to have a deck that still stomps them into the dirt anyways.

So, Deep kicks her butt super hard because she just can't do anything about a board full of giant creatures, once you're deep. Aggressive decks often beat her because they kill the face before she levels up.

I don't think she needs a nerf - though, I do think they might need to tweak coin a bit, because leveled Karma + coin is kinda absurd.

  • Nozdormu at the End of Time

Interesting. I encountered a similar bug in Duels, where my use of Kazakusan shuffled cards into my deck but put a copy of the first treasure chosen into my hand.
