I don't know about removing that many Hunter cards. Most of them could just need a buff to be good.
Explosive Shot could cost 4 and wouldn't be broken.
Timber Wolf could be a 1/3
Bestial Wrath is bad and can go...
Misdirection is a cool card and a Secret! You either replace it with another or keep it.
Gladiator's Longbow could cost 6. It makes sense for Hunter not having only 1 Weapon.
I don't get why you would increase DHs Hero Power by 1. It destroys kinda the whole archetype that Demon Hunter has and all synergy cards that come with it.
You try to make it easier for new players... yet you create cards like Monstrous Mark..
Also why give Demon Hunter a 1 mana draw a card attached to a completely different effect. You replace your hand and then draw a card... At least make the Demons cost 1 less or so.
- Looking at your screenshot, I'd say you're holding on too much to minions that are good standalones in earlier turns but fall off quickly if they don't complement your build. Spawn of N'zoth is one of the best tavern 2 cards, but becomes less powerful as the game goes on especially if you don't triple it or if you don't have baron rivendare. The same can be said for security rover. It's really good relatively early in the game since it can usually survive 1 or 2 hits, but quickly falls off if you don't buff it or if you're not playing a mech build. If you feel like your build is starting to become weak then you should start buying key minions that are necessary for other builds so that you can transition into one of those.
In that screenshot if I recall correctly, I bought the Security Rover because it was the best thing offered, and then kept it because I failed to find anything better, both stats-wise and in terms of going towards a legit comp. This is normally how I end up with garbage menageries - I continue to try and find the best stats, and don't know when to stop in lieu of a) comp, b) taking a double in order to triple into a build-around even if the double sucks.
I've been checking SIXMOREVODKA website, in their gallery there are a bunch concept art for what appears to be Shurimen followers. So I guess Shurima is the next region.
Am I the only one, who thinks it's BM to play extra cards from hand, attack to overkill the opponent as much as possible or rope the whole turn to show that you indeed got your burn damage to kill me? You already got enough damage on board, just kill me when I let you play it out and don't concede.
I'm sorry to hear that Kaladin. I'm by no means an expert on BG's but maybe the following advice can help you:
- In the first ~5 turns there is very little decision making as there are very few opportunities to reroll. My advice for these turns is just to buy the highest quality minions (usually those that have the most stats) and try to go for doubles if they are offered to you, since tripling low tavern tier minions is relatively easy. Going to a higher tavern tier before playing a tripled minion is generally also a good idea because you can get some high quality minions or build enablers from higher tiers.

If you're still struggling I would actually follow Alfi's advice and watch a youtuber or streamer like Kripp and look at how they play. Sure a lot of Kripp's videos are highlights of crazy games but those can still be useful. When watching a youtuber or streamer try to think what you would do in their situation and look at what they do differently and maybe you'll discover weaknesses in your playstyle.
BG is unfortunately, more luck based than skill. If there's any skill involved, its usually either positioning, or the ability to tell when its time to start switching strats (like transitioning from menagerie to murlocs, pirates etc.). Just be aware that there's a limit to the minions available, so if there's like some person going murlocs hard I usually start avoiding that tribe until I see him die. That's really the extend, in my opinion, of your control over the game.
There is no cunning strats. If RNG starts giving you murlocs then you play murlocs. If it shits on you then I guess you lose. Its not worth it to try and break this game. Most of the time the best way to end up in top 4 is to not get into a coma midgame and hold on tight to your lucky monkey paw or rabbits foot.
There is much more strategy to BGs than just positioning and knowing when to transition to other builds. This includes knowing when it's a good time to tavern up, knowing which minions to look for and when, knowing which minions you should replace, and knowing which minions should get targeted buffs or get taunt. Some of these may seem easy but the answers are really not as obvious as you might think.
I also like trying to squeeze in Starshaping, but I don't see an obviously slot for it.
Interesting as both Zaunite Urchin and Spacey Sketcher were included in my 1.0 version, so we are in the same page. But after some playtest i realized the deck needs help to stall until Heimerdinger gets online, and both cards are not very good early plays, on top i was also struggling on what cards to discard.
Solari Soldier proven to be much better then expected. The true goal behind this card is NOT to play it on T1, but use him to block an attack from a key unit on later turns. For example, you hold him in your hand until something like Elise/ Kalista is played, then play him to prevent attacks for that turn.
i also tried Starshaping for a while, but dropped as i think its a bit too expensive and didn't need the extra healing.

But maybe with Targon being such a great expansion maybe they'll give us something less cool for the next region like Shurima before adding the Void.
How dare you call Shurima un-cool! OK maybe the region itself isn't as lore-rich as Targon but come on: Amumu? Rammus? Reketon? Nasus? Cassiopeia? Sivir? There are some really cool champs from there.
You're also totally discounting Ixtal as the possible next region: Nidalee, Rengar, Zyra, Malphite.
Really, I think I'll be happy with whatever region they pick so long as they keep doing as good a job as they are.
Ixtal is not gonna be a stand alone region it's gonna join another big region or their champions are gonna "travel" like teemo, heimer, lulu.. Too few champions there
Idk tbh I won't be dissapointed with either but I would prefer the Void first it has more jungles and I main jungle so.. Totally not biased.
Adding more cards to the celestial list would only increase the casino factor of the mechanic further.
While it is a way to nerf for example Solari Priestess to add mediocre 4-6 cost celestials, it would only make the mechanic more unreliable and weaker but not more fun.
So i would not suggest to add more celestial, just to make the mechanic not even more a gamble than it already is.
Do you think we'll get more celestial cards in the upcoming call of the mountain mini-expansions?
I personally think they shouldn't touch the celestial package anymore, it's in a good spot and plenty of people seem to hate it already. The only thing they could maybe do with future Targon cards is making them target invoke certain celestials.
I think it'll be Shurima in Feb. 2021 and The Void in Aug. 2021. That really only leaves Ixtal as the remaining region. The problem though is that Ixtal has far fewer champion representation than other regions.
I'd hate for Ixtal to be left out of this game, because there's a lot of potential the LoR team can make with the jungle environment that it's known for. Maybe they'll shuffle around some champions in the lore to settle there or maybe it can become a joint region with Shurima like P&Z is.
I also expect Shurima and Void to be the new regions for next year, and in that order. And yeah they'll start running out of new regions after that so they'll need to figure something out.
We don't need that many more regions, HS took 6 years to add another class and did just fine.
I must say this feels quite similar to hitting legend: once you've won one of these competitions and try hard mode is switched off, it's way more fun. Good luck to everyone, there are some awesome cards among your entries!
I'm still surprised that Disciplinarian Gandling isn't seeing play. That card looks great in theory, but it somehow hasn't found a home in this current meta. Unless it's being used in a meta deck that I just don't know about? Looks like Trump was correct in giving it 1 star (though I think it'll see play in the future).
I use him in my zoolock build, he works really well with lackeys and other small minions like Tour guide and Expired merchant. I’m really glad I opened him since it’s such a cool card
I love having good, solid wins like managing to beat a Guardian Druid who ramped into Guardian Animals + Anubisath Defender on turn 3, then played another Guardian Animals by turn 5. I somehow managed to stay alive with a couple of Soul Shears and Shardshatter Mystics, and a well-timed Blade Dance, then I just chopped him down over three turns. I cherish wins like these more than the wild shenanigans this game provides sometimes.
Oh, and I love Soul Fragment DH. Currently 20-5 with it, and I think I have a serious chance of hitting legend with it. It's mowing through everything right now.
Targon's new mechanic Spellshield and Hush seem very problematic
yeah im about to quit playing after seeing this one, 30 cards invoked and gaining and more popping out and still 25 cards on the deck, k bye

don't you ruin the highlander aspect the second you complete your quest, thus making this a weird null tactic?
