yup! exactly to both! And also, the point of this deck is to quickly cycle to our big swing turns so we don't necessarily need that value-over-time of the Libram of Wisdoms
Very interested in the Leona decks, except I don't own Swain (or Leona herself, of course). Also curious about the premade Leona + Aurelion Sol deck being offered in the shop; I'm not interested in spending the coins, though.
I want to hold off on crafting as best I can to see how the decks shake out, but I also really want Leona and the Daybreak cards...I'll probably break down and make them anyway: I've been hoarding supplies since the beta, so what will I splurge on if not my favorite character?
I'm gonna sneak something in later for this. I was trying to get it out before the morning deploy but got caught fixing a couple of critical bugs instead.
Thanks for the response! Looking forward for the update
Right now, I can see Miss Fortune and add her to to a test decklist. I know there were some technical hiccups with the database today importing all the official card data for the new set, so it might have been a temporary thing now resolved. Let us know if you're still unable to add her.
I did consider it, but I think that there are a lot of pieces that sit in your hand already and it’s better to have more removal to survive as if you do manage to turn into a 40 health Ragnaros, you pretty much win from there very often. Thanks for commenting, I love this kind of deck too! It’s less competitive than regular reno priest but it’s more fun.
For the sake of lore, Crimson Shellen is the brother of Kara Shellen, the Classic Legendary for the set. He has a very... interesting job. To put it bluntly, he's a murderer. A time traveling assassin. In an effort to keep all the timelines safe, he travels back in time to murder problematic people before they become problematic. He's here in Scholomance Academy presumably to kill a target. Kel'Thuzad maybe? He's not inherently evil, but his methods are of moral ambiguity.
You pay 150g for a minimum of 1 pack and fun part of drafting and 3 games completely different from ladder. So you can lose at max 50g, and if you enjoy the mode I wouldn't even call that a loss. You get valuable experience in a potentially profitable mode, you learn Arena meta and can exploit that knowledge in your next runs.
Ah, I've had the set done for a while now, but here it is. Scholomance Academy for Time Traveler.
It seems that before Scholomance became a hub area for dark magic and cults, it was an esteemed academy full of bright students and learning potential. In Scholomance Academy, you have BIG ambitions. Time Traveler's arsenal in this set is focused on big cards and being able to cheat them. You've also decided to study some priestly and warlock magic on the side, as your two partner classes in this set are Priest and Warlock. You've also taken an interest in the mysterious Dawnhammer cult hidden deep below the undercrofts of the school (must be a first for everything) who have undertaken a ritual in order to summon the power Infinite Dragon lord known as Dromadicus. Kara's brother, Crimson Shellen, seems to be here in the academy. We're not quite sure for what purpose, but we believe he's here to assassinate Kel'Thuzad or perhaps one of the students before they would become evil.
Yeah, Vlad himself needs a powerful buff to make him the power card of his package. Riot has always just been making his support cards really good, but then they end up better in decks without him (Crimson Disciple, Transfusion, Imperial Demolitionist, etc). I also think that Trifarian Assessor could be buffed to either have a little more health, or maybe changed to a 4/2 that draws an extra card without any 5+ Power allies.
I mean I partially agree but I think anyone who just writes Lee off like that is making a dumb decision anyway. I'm not saying he is good or bad, but players that don't explore are free to make that mistake as far as I'm concerned, and it is a mistake in my eyes.
I think that they are giving this previews to be more open about the design process and give players faith that certain cards will be changed. I think that telling people that Lee Sin is going to be changed will actually encourage people to try him out more and see what decks he already works in, so that they can better theorycraft which decks to build around him when he's buffed. It also gives Lee Sin players more hope because they know that even if he doesn't work out in this meta, he will be improved later on. Lee Sin has a lot of synergy with Targon Gem cards that will also make him more of a consideration again, so I don't think that this announcement will cause people who wanted to try him out with the new cards to decide not to play him. Finally, Riot isn't even saying that they think Lee Sin is too weak, just that he isn't designed as well as he could be. They could end up making him something like a 5 Mana 2/5, which might be a nerf, and it would still fulfill what they wanted his change to do to his playstyle.
It seems a little crazy to me that they're teasing a major update to Lee Sin right as a ton of new cards are arriving. It creates a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy whereby players will think Lee Sin is bad and avoid him because Riot is effectively saying as much - after all, they wouldn't be planning a big buff if the thought he would be good after the cards are released. It is entirely possible that someone would have made a meta deck with Lee Sin, but this artificially creates a bias against him.
Players should be the ones figuring out the metagame - it should not be dictated from on high by Riot's balance previews. For all Riot knows, the decks they think are the best decks in the format at v1.8 will never be discovered. Maybe players will only play worse decks, maybe better, but regardless these kinds of broadcasts only serve to mess with player perceptions.
If the mode has better rewards and lower entry fee as well as feels less grundy, maybe keep as is but remove 12 and 11 wins and distribute the rewards more equally along the tiers.. I feel like arena is not rewarding your time, and it feels at high stakes for no real reason..
COTM THEORYCRAFT: Championless Encroaching Shadows
Seems like every Encroaching Shadows deck should have Cursed Keeper and The Undying in it, and I don't really understand the Frenzied Skitterer and Barkbeast picks.
[D5 - Legend] Broom Paladin!
Nice, i'll give it a shot.

Took me 6 hours to get my second pack, ugh. I feel the required time isn't accurate.
Is there a way to filter Recent Threads by Game?

Call of the Mountain Adds Four New Emotes to Legends of Runeterra
The one and only:
0 mana DIE INSECT! Majordomo Reno Priest
Custom Class - Time Traveler (Updated February 17th - Return to Naxxramas added!)

Of course it seems easy when you already know the answer.
Giant Anaconda?

New Targon Spell - Sunblessed Vigor
This costs twice as much as Elixir of Iron for only a minor upside. If this gets buffed to +0|+3 it might see play.

Yeah, I love this kind of long-game, win-more deck. You may not win consistently, but you'll have fun!
Have you considered Clockwork Automaton and possibly Blackwald Pixie? On a clear board that's 32 to face!
