Hey, I know it's been a while since you posted this but I'm looking to maybe craft gonk (because you know) and I was wondering if Ysera was needed for this deck?
1 health is immidiate yellow card... but it generates 3 cheap spells (which is great) and if it lives, it grants +2/+2 on support.
Tough to judge.
1 support and 3 spells will reduce the cost of Arbiter of the Peak by 4, it also helps with leveling Taric up.
I think the way to think of it is as a slow-speed +2/+2 buff and 4 progressions for Taric/Arbiter with a free 1/1 body--9 times out of 10 the body won't mean anything, but every so often it let you chain with Mountain Sojourners / receive a support buff that would have otherwise gone unused / buff enough to trade with its blocker / use defensively as a clutch chump block / attack twice / etc.
Okay now, Highlander Priest with Raza should be banned from this brawl.. Once you play him, you got infinite HP swaps and your opponent could just sit there and cry, watching you having all the fun.. Well, most of them just insta-concede at that point.
Desperate Stand actually does work exactly like Reborn. It be more specific, it works exactly like Redemption. Just that classic Blizzard inconsistent wording. The only minor difference is Deathrattle synergies, which don't really exist in Paladin.
Turn 1 Spirit Jailer; Turn 2 Demon Companion Hero Power
Turn 1 Minion; Turn 2 removal.
The current deck has two 1 mana minions. Which means you can only hero power or play Spirit Jailer on turn 1 and removal for Turn 2. You lose to aggro and tempo by turn 3. With my current alterations you are putting more pressure on opponents, fighting for early board effectively, and steam rolling control decks.
Vulpera Scoundrel shines in this deck. It adds enough value to where the opponent cannot play around you. Demon Hunter's cards are so high poweredm but they all can't fit into a deck. There were so many matches especially against Paladin/Priest/Warrior where i discovered Inner Demon and hit face for 9 two turns in a row.
This is the better deck i have come across. All the others draw way too much and eliminate the benefits of soul shards. You have a great understanding of the mechanic. You also know that Glide and Skull of Gul'dan are really all you need; and can be easily tutored.
Ok, this should go in the salt thread, but I'm on mobile and am feeling lazy...
Dear Blizzard,
What in the actual fuck were you thinking when you printed Lightning Bloom? You have stated yourself that mana cheating feels bad, so why the fuck did you print this card? When you nerf this card (which you will) please don't go easy on it. Nerf this card into the fucking ground! This card is so unhealthy for the game it's not even funny.
Yup... it's kinda gross to have Kael'thas Sunstrider drop as early as T3 and then your opponent just starts to go off. Sure they get the next round hindered by 4 locked mana crystals... but when they have totally gone off, filled their hand, cast mana ramping spells, have a few minions on the board, and you're sitting there with a 1 or 2 drop ready to click concede, it's bad.

P.S. - With this tavern brawl, can you please stop matching me against Druids who are getting the Hero Power that draws a card and gains a mana crystal? 3 attempts at this brawl and that has been my opponent all 3 times! As if Druids didn't have enough mana ramp and card draw... Seriously, do you guys even play your own game?
I don’t know. It may depend on if they already were workshopping some DK ideas prior to Outland. April 2021 could happen, but more likely to see that in 2022 or beyond, yeah
The point was exactly that, there are no cards with "Elusive" + other lengthy text, yet, so writing "Can't be..." is no problem of space.
Winged Guardian has three abilities, this included. Replacing instances of "Can't be blah blah blah" would make cards like this less bogged down with text and get straight to the point. It also allows future cards that may have a done of abilities, (cough cough Zilliax ) to capitalize on the space allotment
They already have multi-tribe, technically... with Amalgams. But those are technically “All”. The could do something similar where the tag reads “Undead Pirate” or “Undead Beast”, etc, and just program them to be Undead and Beast on the back end how they program All to mean Beast, Dragon, Pirate, Totem, Murloc, and Elemental.
Also, I may be one of a few who feel this way, but I’d love to see all cards have sone type of tribe tag. Even if it’s just “Human” or “Orc”. It just gives for some slight variation on design space. I’d even like to see some minions get Alliance or Horde emblems too. Maybe just for major characters. But then you could have cards with effects that depend on you controlling one of these “commander” units, or whatever. Bring back some of that Horde vs Alliance feeling from Warcraft.
This expansion is killing me. I've had some of the absolute worst luck in opening packs, 86 so far and only three legendary minions. None of them have been good. I've been messing around for the first week trying to get a feel for what might be good so that I don't waste dust on unnecessary crafts, but man it doesn't feel good to win about 1/3 of my games since the new expansion launched. I'm not a bad player, I'm consistently in platinum/diamond depending on how much time I have to play in a month, I'm just very budget. The best deck I've been able to manage so far is a budget version of the druid deck, i.e. neither of the main legendaries that it typically runs. And Paladin! What a difference an expansion makes! Libram Paladin, according to HSReplay.net has zero bad match-ups. The worst win rate is essentially a 50/50 against aggro demon hunter and murloc paladin, maybe you can throw highlander mage in there and call it a close match as well. This is just a demoralizing time in HS for me. Bleck.
I agree with the fist half. I too think that rat pack is a problem early, I've suggested before that any amount of tokens left in the winning board should only add 1-damage in total.
Pirates do a lot of damage but the mirror is a coin toss, I think it's just part of their tribe.
Thanks for this. I was on the exclusivity side of things, 'til I read your comment. I'm with you, now; while there are already the tournament, Legend, and heroic single-player hardbacks, it would be lovely if we could have more skill-based rewards. Maybe rewards for reaching a specific tier in Battlegrounds, for reaching Legend several times over, for specific Legend ranks, for Arena finishes, or else - there are plenty of opportunities.
They did advertise the exclusivity of pre-order cosmetics, but more than holding them to that, I would rather they remove the artificial scarcity of bought items. As you point out, to complain about that inconsistency is to encourage artificial scarcity.
That was my thought. If they are thinking of adding Undead as a tribe in the future it is likely to go hand in hand with the introduction of a new Death Knight class. If this happens I’d expect it no sooner than April with the start of the new HS year. But if not then, April 2022.
On one hand it probably feels bad for people who spent 80$ to get a skin that now becomes available for a fraction of the price.
ON the other hand, if you were dumb enough to spend 80$ just for a skin with no use for the packs you deserve to be ripped off you fiscally irresponsible gremlin.
I'll put it simply. If the system doesn't allow to grind at least 10k gold between expansions with max dedication then it is objectively a downgrade (unless of course the cap is lower but you can reach it more easily)
New Targon Champion - Taric
Seems stronk.
Very easy to level up, and insanely powerful when he gets there. Fiora has a new best friend.
Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!
Graveyard mechanics are seriously needed if you wan priest to be res scum class.
I used to love priest class before this never ending respawning of one minion bs

Would they just use Arthas as the Lich King for the hero?
Or would they use Ner'Zhul?

Souls Just Wanna Have Fun
I have taken this deck to Diamond rank and the changes i made were:
I removed Mo'arg Artificer, Star Student Stelina, and Lorekeeper Polkelt. Well, i don't have Lorekeeper Polkelt and can't gauge his power-level. But, i am assuming he isn't helpful because he will only top deck board-clears. The deck was too slow for me.
I added Battlefiendx2 and Demon Companionx2. These cards help me pushed board early with some tempo and then setup for a destructive midgame.
Curve Combos:
Turn 1 Battlefiend; Turn 2 Hero Power/Spirit Jailer
Turn 1 Spirit Jailer; Turn 2 Demon Companion Hero Power
Turn 1 Minion; Turn 2 removal.
The current deck has two 1 mana minions. Which means you can only hero power or play Spirit Jailer on turn 1 and removal for Turn 2. You lose to aggro and tempo by turn 3.
