Its might actually make aggro rogue a force, with this curving nicely from Hooked Scimitar, assuming you can get the combo off with the weapon.
But more likely it will not see play in rogue until galakrond is off standard. As for warrior, I can't see space being made for this card outside of the current pirate warrior. Maybe we'll see more cards that will make this more powerful, but for now its just on the borderlines of being good.
Warriors have high attack weapons by default, and rogue has Deadly Poison and the added reliability of having a weapon on command. Traditionally warrior would make better use of it, but we've had rogue using 15+ attack weapons before so who knows for sure. I kind of hope the other rogue/warrior cards don't let them take each other's approach to this, because I think dual-class cards will be more interesting when the two classes have their own unique spin.
The tempo-based version of pirate warrior can probably get a 3 or 4 drop out of this fairly consistently, but is that worth it? I'm not sure.
If this was a pirate, I think it could see play as a curve-topper for pirate decks in both classes, but as it stands I think this won't see a huge amount of play.
Obviously interesting in kingsbane rogue, where it could act as a spiteful summoner.
Questions to those who enjoy building decks in Hearthstone:
What sort of things lead you to construct the decks that you do?
Most of the time the decks im Building start to revolve around cards i like - or at least ideas i have about certain cards.
What are some common strategies and combinations that you really enjoy playing and iterating on?
Most of the time i like to play fast decks , so therefor i try to build aggro / midrange decks that should be fast - but sometimes also enjoy control :)
In the past, which mechanics or interactions really caught your attention and made you want to try them yourself?
Well, always tried to make some sort of Buff Priest work - i kinda like the buff mechanics
Do you prefer building new lists from the ground up, or iterating on existing archetypes?
Both , have lots of homebrew decks i mess around with but also build existing lists - or try to change them to my flavour if i do not like them the way they are.
Has the meta ever influenced you to try building something new to counter it?
Yes, once build a deck solely to destroy one specific deck - even tough it wasn't that present in the meta :)
When you get an idea, does it typically involve a particular strategy, or do you focus on a card you like to build around?
Mostly it focuses on certain cards - except im Building some sorte of ArcheType Deck like Murloc Paladin for example. Then i try to build a Murloc deck that suits me.
Do you make use of tech cards often, or just play a particular list as is?
Yes but not all the time - depends on the meta! Right now i do not use any :)
Why do people defend rez priest so much? Resurrecting the same minion over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over only stopping when they're out of rez cards, and even if you tech in cards that interrupt their rez pool they don't get resurrected. And even if you avoid killing their minions they buff it and inner fire you. What a fun class to play against, i love this game. 2 mana lich king, 4 mana ragnaros. 9 mana summon 6 minions because you summoned a 1/1 version of vargoth at one point this game. Why do people defend this shit. It's more autoplay than any deck. I don't know why people made bots that played pirate warrior when they could just play this. The decision making in this deck is so linear, that a bot could play it without deep learning. it's literally:
"Is minion dead? if yes, play rez card. If no, play buff card."
That's it. That's the deck on autopilot. And i play combo, where you can win even if your opponent is at full health, even if your opponent has a board of 7 minions that always destroy your best minions on deathrattle. The problem is they can buff their minion you can't kill because they'll just keep bringing it back endlessly. So it's basically. You're being raped, do you want it in your front or your ass? Where the front is you killing the minion for them to resummon 7 copies or it the next turn. Or getting fucked in the ass, where they buff the minion and hit you for 16 dmg from the same minion every turn.
I think this is a good card for Warrior, for Rogue im not so sure ... in Rogue it looks pretty weak to me right now, because most of the time the Rogue Weapon will be the one from the Hero Power ... maybe they will print a new weapon ...
Right now i think this will only see play in Warrior.

Also if the only way to make aggro use their brain is to give their opponents tools to sometimes deal with their endless spam of BS, it's not good design in my opinion. You would think it makes the aggro player think about playing around these kinds of cards, but it's more like arena where they'll just play like normal and hope their opponent doesn't have removal. Same as always. It's what happened with crushing walls, it's what happened with rolling fireball, it'll happen with this too.

Pretty nice potential with the warrior weapons for tempo, especially following a cache on T2.
I wouldn’t even mind seeing Fiery Win Axe come back with this as a reason.
New Rogue & Warrior Minion - Steeldancer
Interesting card, but needs more support to shine.

You just know that People will mess up their Swing Turn by playing this Guy first AND THEN The Coin.
Also, Priest will probably love this, with AoE like Shadow Word: Ruin and [Hearthstone Card (Soul Mirror) Not Found].
Edit: Shadow Word: Pain or Shadow Word: Death

Decent, but you're not gonna build a deck around her.
More like a fitting synergy into a future Weapon-based deck.

This name is perfect! ;-) Obviously the Scholamance cheerleading group is called the Fluffies.
I like the mix-up, summon equal to armor size was already done, and this could work in Kingsbane decks- if you play a slow one.

Gorehowl, maybe buffed ;)

Maybe tempo Rogue will comeback!

Shiny !
4 for 4/4 is already good stats, + x/x which would be 3 or 4 at best on t4 sounds pretty good to me except Doomsayer shenanigans ofc.
But weapon removal is a thing. So, don't really know, it seems quite good on paper, but practically will lose to Ooze.
Steeldancer
Interesting design for constructed and really nice arena card, especially for Valeera.

Are there some t3 Weapons with good Attack? Maybe Hooked Scimitar can work.

Interesting card. Though seems to benefit the Warrior more than the Rogue.
I want to try this out in a weapon heavy Hack the System deck.
I wonder if this can fit in a pirate warrior deck.

Scholomance Academy Launches August 6, Reveal Stream on July 29 with Kripparrian
Well, i like Kripp and watch his vids etc but i would have prefered someone else for the Reveal Stream ....
Kibler, Dekkster, Regis for example ... i just hope that the Reveal Stream will be better / more interesting than the last one :)
at least for me the other Streams with Kibler etc. were way more fun and entertaining.
