First of all, I'd like to point out what I like most about the WCDC:
1) The community. Thanks again for all the support!
2) The mods. You are quick in response and fair in judgement. If you make a mistake, you admit it freely and you learn from them. I couldn't ask for more.
3) The voting page. Promoting new submissions to egalize the number of votes on each card is genious!
I think the improvements most asked for are well known to you, but I'll type out what comes to my mind nevertheless. Once again, big love for Flux or whoever added the preview tool on the submission page!
1) Finalists shouldn't be allowed to vote in the finalist voting. There were several competitions where people would have won if they had downvoted their opponents and who knows how many where that actually happened.
2) I would be very happy if the time schedule could be shifted to 2 hours earlier. I know that's a very selfish thing, but the new themes come out at 11 pm local time (CET) and at this time I'm either asleep or no longer creative. Maybe we could have a poll for this, as it's very dependend of where the majority of competitors lives. Before all else, it must be manageable for Shadows or whoever moderates the competitions though.
3) I would be open to try out a new voting system. The question of how to rate cards was quite frequently discussed throughout the season. Providing people with a frame would be the obvious solution, like using the current 5 star system to sperately rate things like Balance, Flavor, Art, Creativity and Abscence of mistakes for each card personally which then generates a calculated overall rating based on those categories. That would increase the "work" you'll have to do voting on cards by x5 and might result in less votes though, so maybe someone else has a better idea.
Has anyone else noticed that the minimum dust total for a pack is 40, the pity timer for legendaries is 40, and that 40*40 = 1600 - the cost to craft a Legendary.
So, 4000g is pretty much 2 legendaries guaranteed (because you'll get some golds and epics too).
The cards this time around weren't too popular. The only cards to get a score above 3 were the top 8 that made it to the finalists. And there were 4 cards that got a score below 2.
Yeah, I feel like this competition theme was really hard to design for because you either make a pirate synergy card that won’t work because it’s in a class that’s never had a pirate deck, or you make a card that just happens to be a pirate, which seems to defeat the point. I think Hordaki did really well though, since his card is playable without the Pirate tag but still feels a lot like a pirate and would work in a Pirate Paladin deck.

Shadowhoof Slayer's a better card than it appears to be, especially since Twin Slice is no longer 0 mana. If the meta turns to aggro then I expect more of this card.
Ur'zul Horror is just bad. Put this down, it dies to a hp, and it messes up with your outcast cards. Had this been a battlecry it would have been a niche if only as fodder for Altruis the Outcast. But as it stands, in wild [Hearthstone Card (firefly) Not Found] is infinitely better and in standard there's just better 1 drops than this card.

Soul Split is not bad, its just not covering anything at the moment. There's no deathrattle demons worth this card's attention, and most big demons in dhunter are expensive and there's no value in copying them. Had this card been, give the minion deathrattle: resummon this, this card might have seen better usage.
Lastly, Fel Summoner. Don't let the stats fool you, this card's great because it does something no other card in dhunters do, and that's providing board clear insurance against classes like priest, mage and warlock. That it has 8 attack means unlike Possessed Lackey it can't be just ignored on board, and if it pulls out a Pit Commander its just game over against certain classes. If the win rate is low, that's likely because big dhunters aren't very good, and it costs 6 mana. But if big dhunters gets anywhere in the next expansion, this card will certainly be part of its core.
At least the Arrana package comes with 20 AoO packs, which is probably a good enough deal on its own. So happens they throw in a new skin, though in my opinion, Illidan's just too iconic to put aside for Aranna.
Sorry, but I'm still pissed about getting a golden Kael'thas that I can't disenchant, on top of the other free one that I can't disenchant. Why? Just, why?
On a lighter note, Felfire Festival was pretty fun overall. Decent amount of free stuff, and fun content.
