Attune seems lazy. It's just the Piltover 2-drop repackaged. Unless there's some card that specifically synergizes with Attune it's a pointless addition.
Currently, we don't record anything over 2 for automatically imported collections. We also don't process card removals automatically through JSON.
Did you ever have 2 Underlight rods or manually edit it to be that way before?
What's the problem with simply setting the collection values to the values in the JSON dump instead of adding them?
There's no problem. We're just not being destructive with the JSON because it isn't something we're generating. I don't think it is too crazy to assume in the majority of cases people aren't going to import a collection until after they've decided to nuke a bunch of cards.
The whole thing won't matter much though once we have our own way of importing from the Hearthstone client.
Yes, but most importantly: when will we be able to pick which face card gets shown in the deck library instead of it always being automatically assigned to the strongest champ?
You actually need to have 5 different aspects, so something like Deathwing + Deathwing, Mad Aspect + 3 others won't trigger. And yes, you have play 5 different aspects AND have 5 aspects on the board at the same time. They don't have to be the same.
Up next: something really, REALLY big (as in stats, bonus if it's for mage)
The Dragon Boar Hunter deck might not be tier 1 - but it is great fun to play - nothing like a 4/4 (or 7/7 if you're playing scrap shot) boar OINK followed by kill command for a piggy finish.
(and there does appear to be less res priest, which is nice)
So much yes! I've had multiple times, my opponent has the attack, and just refuses to, because they know I can't play anything if they don't attack, so they just end up passing and wasting 10 of my mana and therefore all of my lead >:(
If I'm reading the quote correctly, they won't start distributing them until after the deadline (May 7th) has passed. Don't worry, you'll still get one.
I believe it means that if you already have 2-3 Ashes, the extras you get will reroll to some other Champion you don't have three copies of. I don't think the protection counts for the Rares and Commons, but won't mind if that ends up being the case.
Thanks for this full recap of all revealed cards !
It would be wonderful if you also add which keywords are added to the game, explanations of them and how much total cards we will get etc. as how you do for Hearthstone expansions at the beginning of the page. :)
Good luck to all the finalists! And fingers crossed for my favorite this week, Counter Shot. Saving Grace should have made it, too, it was really a fair Ice Block with paladin flavor.
I'm feeling the love :) I think Saving Grace just gave too many people Ice Block flashbacks for it to be universally well received.
I'm really impressed with the finalists this week, Secrets are harder to design than most cards, and there's some really incredible ones here. Good luck everyone who made it!
The change which now allows you to play units on a full board (by obliterating a unit already on it) seems HUGE. So often I would not be able to play small units for the sole reason of being unable to play more impactful units because my opponent refused to kill off my insignificant units. Now you never have to worry about not being able to play a unit which might have an effect you need to win the game. This also makes topdecking important units a lot better if you have a full board.
It doesn't feel anymore egregious than Freezing Trap to me, which while strong is not something I'd say needed changed. The fact that it's an obvious allusion to that makes it all the better, to me.
Agreed, Twin disciplines only saving grace is that it's in the "3 cost spell mana" bracket of spells you can save up for from previous turns, that being said...as someone who played Hearthstone during it's beta....this is effectively a Blessing of Kings, which was a great card during Hearthstone's early days. I can see this being valuable in pretty much any Freljord deck.
@ShadowsOfSense while I certainly don’t agree that it’s a better Counterspell, I think it’s much too good for its Cost, since 1) your opponent still wastes the mana, and 2) gets the spell back at a RAISED cost. Honestly, it would be not only more balanced, but also much more elegantly designed if it didn’t have the “costs (2) more” part
I'm going to say it now, I really don't like Counter Shot, it's a 2 mana better Counterspell imo. I don't care if you say you get the spell back, not only do you waste mana, you also get a punishment on a really cheap spell you tested on or make a big finisher card unplayable. Not only that, you make your opponent take up more handspace that might want. You play this card in an aggro deck against spell mage with a full hand and they are forced to Flamestrike or Puzzlebox in order to survive and this happens. Then they burn a card after wasting 7 mana. Counterspell at least got rid of the card for space and allowed you to draw cards after playing the spell, this however is much more powerful and at 1 Mana less.
I don't understand this logic at all. The handspace issue is so minor as to not matter at all. The other situations you bring up sound ridiculous to me; surprisingly, if you needed to Flamestrike or Puzzle box to survive, Counterspell would also prevent you from doing that.
It's probably one of the best designed Secrets I've ever seen someone come up with, and is the only card I gave 5 stars in the finals this time.
I find it ludicrous that you're somehow considering giving the opponent their spell back (albeit at a premium) this massive increase in power over a card which completely prevents them from ever playing the spell again. Like, sure, the fact that its a Hunter card and that its 2 mana, those are worth looking at to decide the balance; if it was a Mage Secret it'd just be worse Counterspell, while you seem to think it'd be better?
Here's some art, make a card! [Legacy Game]
Note that this also means that your opponent's random effects will only hit their own characters.
Next up, a GvG minion with Mech synergy (you can decide if you want it to be a Mech or not).

My Vlad/Braum deck is looking forward to this! Easily counters token decks so this seems like a win win.

It's kind of an annoying meta when you like to play control but I guess the meta will be more interesting next patch
